"Go ahead and try," Diana said. She sighed and pulled her knees up. "I miss home."

"I know." Leia sat down next to her, cuddling in next to her. "We'll be home again soon."

Diana cuddled closer to her sister, comforted by the contact.

"When did our lives stop making sense?" she murmured.

"God, I don't know," Leia muttered, curling up close to her. "This just makes no sense, and my brain hurts."

"Seriously," Diana murmured. She put her head on her sister's shoulder.

Leia just rested there with her for a while, giving things time to settle and the two of them time to relax again. At least, as much as they could.

Meanwhile, Bucky was talking to Steve.

"So what now?" he asked. "It's not like we have anywhere we can take them that they'll agree to go, especially not after what just happened with Thor."

Steve shrugged. "Give 'em the rest of the day to cool off," he said. "After that, we see where they want to go. If they want to go back to Earth, we can't stop 'em." He paused for a moment. "But we can keep an eye on 'em."

"Earth's technically outside our jurisdiction," Bucky pointed out. "Belongs to Jones, and she's got Wise. They may not like us hanging around."

"We can explain the situation to them," Steve said. "They're quite reasonable, when she's not being threatened or anything. Besides, aren't you and Wise cousins or something?"

Bucky snorted.

"Cousins doesn't mean shit when Caine and the Empress are a Thing," he said. "Besides, you know how she can get about that planet, you remember that announcement she made about it being totally off-limits?"

"I do, which is why we tell her about the poaching, too," Steve said. "She won't be so mad at us if she's busy being mad at poachers." He smirked.

Bucky raised an eyebrow.

"You're vicious," he said. He smirked. "Fine. You can be the one to tell her, then."

Steve shrugged. "She likes dogs better," he said with a smirk. "But fine, I'll tell her." He wasn't too worried about contacting the Empress, after all.

"That's why she has Caine," Bucky replied. "Let me know when you tell her, I want to see what happens."

"You'll know," Steve said with a little grin. "For now, we should go settle in, give them a bit to decide what they want to do."

"Alright," Bucky said, nodding. He glanced at Steve and smirked. "But if I catch you playing with your food again, punk..."

Steve swatted at him, rolling his eyes. "Shut up, jerk," he muttered, shaking his head. "You're no better."

"I don't play with the rolly bits on my plate," Bucky pointed out, snickering.

"No but you do watch when I throw things," Steve said, elbowing him.

"Bootlaces," Bucky retorted, smirking. The teasing between them was typical.

Steve shook his head. "Balls," he said in return. The teasing was normal, and would probably peter out soon. They did actually have things to be doing other than razzing each other.

"That was one time," Bucky replied, making a face. "One time, I swear..."

Steve snickered. "And you'll never forget that one time," he said with a shit-eating grin.

"Because you keep bringing it up, you punk," Bucky retorted, punching Steve on the arm. It wasn't a hard punch.
