Bucky nodded a bit.

"Hopefully they won't be as hysterical as the last ones," he said.

"Hopefully," Steve muttered, shifting to sit a little closer to his assigned girl.

Leia stirred again, opening her eyes blearily with a little groan.

Diana was beginning to stir as well, groaning a bit as opening her eyes made her head throb.

Bucky stayed close, waiting for his assigned girl (princess?) to really wake up.

Steve shifted a bit so he could see her better and steady her if he needed to. But he did give her a few moments to wake up first.

Leia sat up and put a hand to her forehead, keeping her eyes closed momentarily against the throbbing in her temples and the disorientation. "What the hell..." she mumbled.

"Dear god, someone make the pounding stop," Diana grumbled as she pressed her forearm to her eyes in an attempt to stop the throbbing.

"Easy," Bucky murmured. "Are you alright? How do you feel?"

"Easy does it," Steve soothed. "Take a deep breath, it'll help."

That got Leia's attention. Her eyes flew open and locked on him. "What the hell?" she demanded again, her voice higher in pitch this time.

Diana opened her eyes with a yelp and was scrambling backwards before she even knew what she was doing.

"Who are you?" she demanded. "Where am I? What's going on?"

"Hey, whoa, easy," Bucky said, holding his hands up in an 'I'm harmless' gesture. "It's okay. You're fine."

"Easy," Steve repeated, holding his hands up and away from his body. "You're safe. My name is Steve. We're... somewhere safe."

Leia focused entirely on him, and her eyes narrowed a bit. "Uh huh, define 'fine'," she snapped. "Why do I feel like I've been roofied? Where are we? Where's my sister?"

"What's going on?" Diana asked, eyes still wide.

"You... Kind of were, actually," Bucky replied. "But you're alright. My name's James. You're safe now."

"You were drugged," Steve explained patiently. "I brought you back here so you could recover." He'd give her a few minutes first before he started on the whole Royals thing.

"Kind of impressive non-answering skills," Leia said, one hand braced against the seat to keep herself upright. She really felt like shit. "What's going on here exactly, James?"

"Where is 'here'?" Diana asked. "And where's my sister?"

"You were... kidnapped, for lack of a better word," Bucky replied carefully. "Drugged. My partner and I found you and your sister, and brought you here until you woke up."

"She's here too, my friend is talking to her." Steve paused for a moment. "Here is... probably going to be difficult for you to believe."

"Okay." So far, that all kind of sort of made sense with what she remembered. "So, what? You going to give us a ride home now? Thanks for the help and all that, glad I didn't get sold on the black market or whatever they had planned, but I have work really early tomorrow." Leia looked at him.

"Try me," Diana replied. They obviously weren't home, and they had to be somewhere.

"That might not be as easy as you think," Bucky said. He gestured to one of the windows. "Take a look."

"We're currently in a space ship a few lightyears away from Earth," Steve said, looking at her, completely serious.

Cautiously, Leia got up, catching herself against the wall when she stumbled. And then her eyes went really wide and she had to lean against the wall to keep from falling.

"Holy crap."

Diana just gave him a 'you're crazy' look.

"Ha ha, good one, now really, where are we?" she said.

"We're headed towards the Andromeda galaxy, for now," Bucky said, watching her reaction.

"Take a look," Steve invited, waving to the nearest window.

"Wow," Leia murmured. "It finally happened. I got kidnapped to Star Trek."

Cautiously, Diana looked out of the window. She recoiled with a stifled shriek, eyes wide.

Bucky blinked.

"What?" he asked, confused.

"Easy," Steve said, shifting closer. "You're fine."

Leia shook her head. "So either I'm hallucinating, dreaming, or went crazy. Three best explanations for this."

"We're in space!" Diana squeaked, eyes still very wide. "Oh god, this isn't right, we're in space, people are not meant to be in space."

"None of the above," Bucky replied. "I told you, you were drugged and taken, and we brought you here once we took care of your... captors."

"Actually people have been in space for a long time," Steve said calmly. "A few million years, give or take?"

"That does not explain this," Leia said, waving a hand at the window. "Being drugged and kidnapped does not explain being in a spaceship."

"What?" Diana squeaked. Because that was just not computing at the moment.

Bucky sighed. Okay, how to explain this...

"Alright," he said. "This is going to sound weird, I think, but hear me out. The ones who drugged and kidnapped you were going to essentially take you somewhere where you would have been illegally chemically processed into a youth serum. My partner and I stopped that from happening, but the best course of action was to bring you here."

"Okay," Steve said, sitting down. "Okay. I know this is difficult, but Earth isn't the only planet with humans. The history of humans is a lot longer than just Earth. I'll explain it if you want."

"Youth serum." Leia said, staring at him. "Okay, working on believing that." She eyed him, finally noticing he didn't look quite right.

"None of this makes any sense," Diana said, still freaking out. "Humans can't be older than the Earth, it's the other way around. There's never been any sign of intelligent life out in the universe. Since when is it all wrong?"

"Trust me, it's not something you want to go through," Bucky said.

"Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it's not there," Steve pointed out gently. "I can show you the history if you want. There is life, much life, beyond Earth."

"I can imagine," Leia said. "So that's something you and your partner do? Just go around rescuing people?"

"Just-- put me back," Diana replied, shaking her head a bit. This was all way to weird for her.

"We're more like... bodyguards," Bucky replied. "We keep an eye out for poachers, like the ones who made a try for you and your sister."
