"Oh dear...even when he's not here he presses your buttons." Contessa commented and frowned slightly. "Would you like to see your surprise or would you prefer to get cleaned up?" she asked and raised an eyebrow before smiling. "I don't mind. If you choose to get cleaned up I shall wait for you right here, I promise." she explained. If Daylen chose to take a shower, she'd have some time to clean up the study which she was sure he'd appreciate right? Contessa hoped that the smoke didn't end up making Daylen sick. "W-would you like some water?" she offered warmly.

Daylen just smiled weakly at Contessa. "I prefer to clean up first. This dust is kind of itchy." Maybe it was just him but it felt like it was starting to get itchy fast. He looked at the powder closely. "It's itching powder." He just sighed in slight annoyance. "I'm going to go clean up real fast. I'll meet you in the kitchen. Try not to touch the powder, it won't come off easily." He told her softly. The only way to remove Sirus' itching powder was a tonic Daylen made as a soap. He left Contessa in the hallway as he walked up the stairs to get to his room.

Itching powder? Well there was no way she was touching that stuff, last thing she needed was to get covered in it and get Sirus in even more trouble than he already was. "Alright then." she answered with a nod of her head before walking back to the kitchen were the cupcakes were still warm. "Thirty-Six...let's hope Daylen can share some of them or eat them all eventually." she said to herself and laughed softly. When her mother found out, she'd be very impressed since no one, not even Contessa herself knew she could bake on her own. Sure she wasn't the best, but she got the cupcakes all perfect. Now she had to try breads and cookies and cakes too.

Daylen made sure to close both his bathroom and bedroom door. He would have locked them but he was positive that a repeat of last time wouldn't occur. At least he hoped. He started the water in his large walk-in shower. His bathroom was large like the rest of the house and just as elegant. A large clawfoot tub near the floor to ceiling windows. Having curtains over frosted glass that stopped half way up made it so Daylen could have both his privacy and view of his backyard. There was his' and her's vanity sinks with build in shelving around it. A small small closed in area for the toilet. It was a rather large bathroom but it was normal to him. Stripping down Daylen just quickly showered, making sure to get all the powder from his hair and body. He dressed in his normal dark clothing, his closet connected to both the bedroom and bathroom.
After brushing his hair Daylen just left his room, fiddling with his left cufflink. For some odd reason it didn't want to close correctly. He made his way to the kitchen only to see a massive amount of cupcakes on the counter. He softly smiled. He was guessing either his mother or Sirus told her that he loves sweets. "Sorry if I took long." He said softly. He looked down at his cufflink, it was still fighting him.

Contessa was so focused on looking at the cupcakes that she never noticed Daylen enter the kitchen. Hearing his voice, she turned to look at him and shook her head. "You didn't take long at all, so no need to worry." she answered and noticed he was still fiddling with a cufflink. "Here, let me help you with that." she offered and walked over to him where she carefully stared at the cufflink closely before closing it properly and making sure she was right by comparing it to the other cufflink. "There we go, all better." she said sweetly and smiled. She had never buttoned up a cufflink before but she understood how it was supposed to look based on his other cufflink. Looking over at the cupcakes she motioned at them with her hands, "Ta Da! Thirty Six cupcakes just for you. Your mother told me how much you love sweets and wanted to surprise you and cheer you up." she explained. "I baked Vanilla cupcakes, Chocolate cupcakes and Strawberry Cupcakes. The Vanilla ones have the Strawberry frosting, the Chocolate ones have the Vanilla frosting and the Strawberry ones have the Chocolate frosting. I decided to add yellow sprinkles just to make them look pretty." she explained, hoping he liked them.

Daylen just watched as Contessa did his cufflink. "Thank you." He said in his normal soft tone. He just adjusted his sleeves before looking at the cupcakes. He just smiled softly as she explained the flavors. "Thirty-six? Starting a little early on trying to get me fat." He said jokingly. He chuckled softly at his own joke. He couldn't help but make the small joke. "Thank you, Miss Contessa. I appreciate the thought very much." He did love his sweets, especially vanilla frosting. "What about Miss Contessa, do you like sweets?" He asked her curiously. Daylen just went and took out a clean coffee mug, he needed more coffee since his was rune thanks to Sirus' prank. He began to make coffee. He would eat one of the cupcakes when his coffee was done.

"You're welcome Daylen." Contessa replied and fixed her hair, laughing at his little joke. "Why Daylen, did you figure it out already?" she said jokingly and chuckled. "I didn't mean to make so much, I just didn't know which you preferred so I decided to go with the ones I thought you'd like." Contessa explained nervously. When he asked her if she liked sweets she smiled, "Well yes I do. I don't like to eat them on a regular basis, only on special occasions and when I'm really craving one which is not that often." she replied and watched him make his coffee, now the kitchen smelled like sugar and coffee. "Do you have a favorite sweet Daylen?" she asked curiously.

Daylen just poured his coffee once it was done and added his three cubes of sugar. The soft smile never left his face. He just stirred his coffee as he listened to her. He didn't mind if she made a lot, if he wasn't eating them he was sure Sirus would pig out on them. "I'll have to make you my favorites one day. They're old family recipes. It's a tie between Pineapple Upside down cake and Pumpkin spice cupcakes with vanilla frosting." He told her softly as he took a sip of his coffee. He opened the drawer closest to him and took out a old leather book. He set it on the counter, it was rather thick. "These are all the family recipes dating back three hundred years." He was debating on what flavor of cupcake he wanted to eat first. They all looked good.

Contessa was happy to see that Daylen looked so happy with the surprise, this was a good sign. "I don't think I've ever heard of those, but they do sound delicious. My favorite sweet has to be Carrot cake and the same for cupcakes." she commented before her eyes focused on the large book. "Oh my goodness!" she gasped. She would have to read it once they were married and learn all the recipes. Hopefully by his birthday she'd be able to bake him his favorite cake, she was sure that would be a really nice surprise. Until then, these cupcakes would do just fine. "Three hundred years, oh my...so many recipes!" she said to herself, running her fingers lightly over the cover.

After a little time had passed Daylen finally decided on a chocolate cupcake. Setting his mug down, Daylen picked up a chocolate one and remove part of the wrapper before taking a bite. It was really good! He smiled after he chewed and swallowed the part of the cupcake in his mouth. "If the other flavors are as good as this one, I definitely will get fat if you keep making sweets." He hoped she would keep baking sweets, he would have to make the pumpkin spice cupcakes for her later since she liked cupcakes. Maybe after the wedding, he wasn't sure when.

Glancing over at Daylen, she smiled when she saw him eating a chocolate cupcake. She held her breath, anticipating his reaction to the taste and let it out in relief when he spoke positively about it. "You really like it that much Daylen?" she asked. She didn't they'd be that great, but she was happy to be proven wrong. She was pretty sure Sirus would take some when he found them, but for now they all belonged to Daylen. "I'll bake sweets every now and then, I promise. I'll try to learn new sweets to bake and bake them for you." Contessa replied honestly. She was going to have to tell her mother about this when she returned home, she was sure she'd want to hear all about it.

Daylen just ate the cupcake quietly. He nodded softly. He really did like it. He was glad she wanted to bake more, though he would probably have to start working out more to keep the fat down from all her sweets. He thought it would be worth the price however. Daylen took a sip of his coffee. He notice someone in the doorway of the kitchen. He looked to see a man in pure black, he was dark in appearance and in aura. "Mr. di Pavia, I hope I'm not interrupting." The man said, his voice was eerie, matching his appearance. "Actually you are. What do you want Miaror?" He asked the man plainly. "Just placing an order for my Mistress." He said calmly, he looked Contessa up and down slowly. "Unless you want me to burn the one thing that classifies you as a male, I wouldn't eye my fiance up and down if I were you." Daylen simply said to the male, who just glared at him. "You sorcerer's always think you're superior don't you." He said mocking. "Says the vampire's pet." Daylen replied plainly. The man's face turned slightly, Daylen had hit a nerve it was clearly over his face. "Tell Miss Claire, she'll have her order within two days." He man just sneered at Daylen before vanishing from sight. Daylen just turned back to his coffee and took another sip, completely unphased by the bloodling.

The male who had peaked into the kitchen caught her attention in a negative way, She didn't like the air about him, something about him just frightened her, and the fact that he was eyeing her up and down didn't help either. Contessa quickly stared down at her feet, trying not to let him see how uneasy he made her. His name apparently Miaror and it seemed his wife was a costumer of Daylen's. She smiled softly when Daylen warned Miaror about eyeing her and she couldn't help but giggle softly, quickly covering her mouth with both hands. She wondered why this, Miss Claire didn't just place the order herself. Must be a busy lady. Contessa thought to herself and looked up to see that the scary male was gone. Looking over at Daylen, he looked as if nothing had even happened. "A costumer of yours?" she asked softly.

Daylen just nodded softly to Contessa. "Miss Claire is. She is very powerful vampiress. That man you saw is nothing more than a lapdog." He looked at her sweetly. "His bark is worse than his bite, but that doesn't mean he won't try anything." He warned her. He would have to make her something if one of the shady character's that served his customers tried something she could defend herself. "My customers are good creatures, just some of their lackies aren't. Like Miaror. This is not be the first time I had to threaten him. I seriously hurt him once, completely burned half his body into ashes. Still thinks he can challenge me." Daylen drank more of his coffee before continuing. "It started when the Elder wanted me to appreciate as a replacement. Guess he is jealous of two things." He thought the second thing was pretty obvious, Daylen didn't need to say it really at least he hoped.

Contessa decided to take a seat at the table and listen to Daylen's story about this Miaror guy. The fact that even he knew that he'd try something, didn't reassure her at all. She really didn't want to be left alone with that man, she'd probably hide somewhere in hopes that he'd give up and leave. Thankfully he didn't have to worry about that at the moment. "So even after hurting him, he still wants to get on your bad side? I see no logic in that strategy...is he trying to take something from you?" she asked honestly confused. His last comment confused her for a moment before she understood what he mean by that. She hoped she understood anyway. "He's jealous that the elders want you to be their new apprentice and that you're getting married?" she asked, hoping she was correct.

Daylen just smiled, he laughed, actually laughed at her words. She didn't understand what he ment, which he found actually very cute. "Your innocence is very adorable." He simply told her softly. He just set down his mug before walking over to her. "I'll just show you." He knew it sounded wrong but it was completely innocent. He gently grabbed her hand, helped her up and forced her to follow him gently. He let go of her hand when he was at his study. He went inside avoiding the itching powder. Daylen just removed a dark wooden box before returning to Contessa. Once more he took her hand lightly. Leading her to the ballroom.
Letting go of her hand, he went to the center of the room. He set the box on the floor. Daylen took out a red piece of chalk and started to draw a large circle with ancient symbols tracing the outside and a large star on the inside. He set multiple large white candles on each point of the star. Daylen just took out a egg. It was rather large size and dark plum in color. Daylen moved the box away from the circle before stepping back inside of it. He made sure Contessa was away at a safe distance. He held the egg near his mouth and lightly blew blazing hot air on it as his closed his eyes. He began to gently whisper in a ancient tongue. It was the language that old sorcerers used. He had found a way to mix old magic with his alchemy. A gust of wind violently started to swirl around the pentagram he stood inside of. However Daylen just continued to whispers to the egg with his eyes close. Embodied voices filled the air as his eyes open, they were glowing pure white as his hair danced lightly in the wind. The egg began to crackle within his hands. Slowly the wind died as Daylen stopped whispering, the voices disappearing as his eyes turned back to normal. He walked over to Contessa and held out the egg to her. Small movement could be seen under the shell. The shell began to fall to the floor showing a small, infant animal unlike any other. It's fur was soft, black like the night. It had small ram horns on the side of it's head, dark plum in color. It resembled a wolf with horns. "Ancient sorcery fuzed with alchemy. This is a Alikna, a rare breed. Extinct but a loyal companion to the first person it sees after birth. Let it see you." He told her softly.

Contessa's face went red when he started laughing, but she managed to smile. She never heard his laugh before, she didn't think so anyway so it was really nice to hear it today. You find my innocence...adorable?! she thought to herself and grinned at the unexpected compliment. Her eyes followed him as he walked over to her. She was really confused at this point but nodded and followed him hand in hand towards wherever it was he was taking her to. What exactly was he going to show her? She didn't know but she was very curious. Contessa watched as he let go of her hand to fetch something from inside his study and raised an eyebrow questioningly, what was he getting? A small smile appeared on her face when he once again took hold of her hand and started towards the ballroom.
She remembered the ballroom, it was the place she vanished to when she started to cry. When he let go of her hand, all she could do was watch while he walked to the center of the room and set the box on the floor. Contessa watched, very interested as Daylen opened the box and removed some red chalk and started drawing shapes on the floor with ease. The look of confusion never left her face as Dayen continued doing whatever it was he was doing. It looked to her like he was getting ready to summon something though. When he took out an egg though, Contessa only hugged herself and watched in continued silence so that he could concentrate on what he was doing. She tried to listen to what he was whispering into the egg but couldn't understand anything which only added to her confusion, but she was able to hear some voices and it was starting to both frighten and worry Contessa. Was this a normal thing? Relax Contessa, I'm sure this isn't anything bad, just stand still and do not speak a word. she thought to herself and did just that.
The strong wind blew her hair across her face, causing her to continuously brush it away from her face. She didn't want to move, but she did want to see what was going on even though it was slightly scary. It's only scary because you haven't seen anything like it before. she thought to herself reassuringly. When the wind finally did stop, she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding and visibly relaxed. Her eyes were on Daylen and then moved down to the egg in his hands, seeing that something was moving beneath it. "What is it?" she whispered, unable to speak any louder after what she just witnessed. As the shell fell to the floor, a little creature was revealed. It looked like nothing she had ever seen before, she impressed that something so small like this could actually actually live. "Extinct?" she repeated and frowned, that was a real shame since this animal looked really interesting. She did as she was told and nodded, looking down at the creature wondering if it could even see her right now. "You brought it back...from the dead?" she asked quietly.

Daylen just shook his head lightly. "It was never born. Can not die if it never lived." He simply told her. "This is why the Elders want me to replace one of them, this is why Miaror is jealous. Besides my raw elemental power of fire, I learnt ancient sorcery. Rarely does a member of my generation resort to the old ways. To combine it with modern alchemy, never been done; until now." He smiled as he looked from her to the creature. It's small yellow eyes opening to see Contessa. It's tiny whimpering echoing lightly. "You will have to care for it, it's still a baby. Right now, it will just feed off milk. When it's teeth start to come in, blended raw meat and milk." He told Contessa softly. It's toothless mouth yawn and smacked. "What will you name him?" He asked her curiously. He was waiting her her to take the small creature from his hands, after all it imprinted on her.

Contessa was beyond confused when she saw all that had happened, but now she was amazed. This was really neat, it was no wonder that man was jealous of Daylen. "It all makes sense now..." she whispered and smiled down at the little creature. "Poor thing, he's tired." she noted and carefully took it from Daylen's hands into her own. "Understood, I'll keep that in mind. I'll be sure to buy a tiny bottle to feet it milk with too." she said and frowned slightly. She hadn't thought of a name since she didn't think Daylen would just give it to her. "I didn't think of a name..." she said softly and stared at her new pet. He was a boy, so she had to think of a good name for him. "Hmmm..." she hummed as she thought of good names. "I can't think of anything at the moment, I'm sure I'll think of a name eventually." Contessa finally said after coming up blank, a pout on her face.

Daylen never stop smiling his soft smile. "Take your time. No rush really." He simply told her before going to clean up the chalk drawing and place everything back into the wooden box. "As for the bottle. I have clean, never been used eyedroppers in my study. They're in a cabinet. No itching powder touched them. Also it's lock Sirus can't get to them." He would have to make her a master key for the house later and one more for all the cabinets. Daylen just walked back to Contessa with the wooden box in his hands. "I was actually going to give this little guy to you when we got married, as a wedding gift. They're symbol of loyalty and luck. It took a while to make him actually. I never created a living animal in my study before." He said shyly. First time for everything. He was glad it turned out perfectly.

Contessa listened to Daylen and smiled warmly. "I'd really appreciate if I could have one then Daylen, it would make feeding this little guy a lot easier." she replied happily. His next comment made her blush brightly, he was going to give her a wedding gift? Shaking her head, she smiled shyly at him. "Daylen you don't need to get me anything for our wedding, really. I appreciate the thought but it isn't necessary. The tonic for my eye was the best gift you could ever give me." Contessa reminded warmly. She knew though, that Daylen would probably get her something else as a wedding present now. He really was spoiling her and she wasn't sure how to feel about that. This got her to think about what she would get him for a wedding present. He liked sweets but that wouldn't make a good present. She'd have to ask for advise.

Daylen just smiled softly once more. He didn't mind giving her things. He couldn't simply conjurer things like his twin, he had to make his. It wasn't everyday he got to gift things to people he liked. He looked at the little creature in Contessa's hands. He needed to give her things for the little guy, make it easier on her. He motioned her to follow him back to his study. Once he made his way back to his study, Daylen avoided the powder once more. He placed the wooden box back up before turning to another cabinet. He removed a key from around his neck, it was on a long silver chain. Barely noticeable to anyone. He wore the key on a daily basis so Sirus couldn't get ahold of it. He unlocked the cabinet, took out a eyedropper for her before locking it back up. Placing the key back around his neck and into his shirt. Daylen just looked around his study, he carefully avoid the powder as he went back to Contessa. "We'll have to get a small crate from the pantry for him. He told her before walking towards a door that lead to the laundry room.

Everything that Daylen gave her, no matter what it was, was very important to her and special. She looked down at the little creature curled up in her hand and gently pet it with her finger gently as she followed Daylen back to his study. She hoped he'd be able to get it clean, she knew he would though if he wanted to work comfortably. "Thank-you for all that you're doing Daylen, I truly appreciate it." Contessa stated bashfully, blushing lightly. Contessa watched as he easily opened up a drawer with a key that she had never noticed before. It was around his neck and yet she never saw it once, he obviously kept it very well hidden for a reason. Smiling, she nodded in agreement with what he said and watched as he walked towards another door.

Daylen just nodded softly to her. He didn't mind it at all, he actually enjoyed it. "I enjoy doing things for you, there is no need to thank me." He told her softly as he opened the door. He searched the shelving until he found a small, soft blanket for the creature to lay on. He then left to the kitchen's pantry. There were several small crates he could pick from. He placed the blanket into one before bringing it out and setting it on the counter for Contessa to place the infant creature in. He set the eyedropper next to the crate. "This will have to do for now. I'll have a pet bed ordered for it. Hopefully it wouldn't be long for it to be made. Saria is actually very fast in filling orders." He told her. He had a feeling that's who was making her dress. Saria was after all the family seamstress and well known.

"I want to thank-you though. I know I don't need to, but I still want to." Contessa explained quietly as she followed him around like a puppy. It was sweet what he was doing since he didn't have to, and yet he was going out of his way to do all this. First the tonic and rings, then the solarium, the seeds, the watering system, her new pet, a small makeshift bed for her pet, and an eyedropper to feed it. Daylen had given her so many gifts, and all she had given him were thirty six cupcakes. A small frown came to her face as she realized this, but she managed to smile and carefully placed her little pet in the small crate. "There you go little guy." she chimed cheerfully as she pet him carefully.
