"Hey, look at me. I'm not afraid of you. I'm sorry if I made you think I was." she whispered softly and smiled warmly. "You are not scary to me, I promise. I'm only scared of thunder and lightning so don't you worry." she reassured, trying to cheer him up somehow. She could tell he was feeling uncomfortable and she could understand, but she didn't want him to think she was afraid of him. "I...I hope you are okay with me staying over in the guest room." she commented quietly, hoping he didn't mind it. She was pretty sure her parents would be okay with it as long as she slept in a separate room. His little joke about the coffin made her giggle, "Well yes, at least they are optional. They don't look very comfortable if you ask me." she commented. She had always wondered why vampires were always said to sleep in coffins, how could they fit in there? It wasn't spacious at all, she wouldn't be able to sleep in one, she would probably panic and suffocate.

Daylen just listened to Contessa as she spoke. He didn't want to really look up at her but he did shyly. He remembered her telling him he would find her in the closet hiding during the storms. That thought was still cute to him. He slightly doubted that was all she was afraid of but he couldn't say anything about it. He nodded softly in reply. "I have no problem with you staying here, this will be your home one day after all." He spoke softly to her. "I have tonics if you need help sleeping tonight." He said walking over his cabinet. He took out two bottles of a transparent purple liquid. He held one out for her, he was planning to use one later to force him to sleep. "Mae sure your laying down when you drink it, it works quickly." He instructed her softly. He didn't want her to get hurt by accident.

Contessa grinned when he looked up at her, it was quite adorable to see him so shy around her. She remembered what her father had told her about a good relationship, communication. Would Daylen tell her if something was wrong? She assumed that he would, he wouldn't just leave her in the dark would he? "Yes it will be. It will take me a while to get used to it, but I will enjoy living here. I cannot wait to get started on our master bedroom. I should be getting the paints soon." Contessa explained happily. She couldn't wait to get started on decorating the large room. She accepted the bottle with the purple liquid and nodded. "Thank-you, I'll be sure to take it before bed." she promised softly and examined the purple liquid in the bottle and admittedly, it looked tasty. At least she knew that Daylen would be getting some sleep tonight. He deserved it after all that had happened today.

He didn't know how to react to the sudden grin that appeared on her face but then the remembered what his brother told him earlier. A deep blushed came to his face, she knew that the Elder's would be in the room on the wedding night. He looked back at the floor, his anger lightly rising as he thought of the Elder's. He wouldn't let them step one foot in his house. Not after what they said when they saw Contessa and himself on the steps of the cathedral. Once more his pale eyes began to glow red. "Miss Contessa, on the wedding night it will be just us." He told her softly, he looked up at her. "They're not allowed to step foot in this manner." He didn't have to specify on who he meant, he was pretty sure that she knew.

"Dinner is served Master Daylen, Miss Contessa." Raymon said in his sweet manner. He had set the table in the solarium off the kitchen for them, seeing how the sun had set just a few minutes ago. The sun was still colorful but the harmful rays were gone. Raymon just turned to Contessa and smiled kindly, motioning her to come to the kitchen.

Contessa gently pet little no name with her fingers and looked at Daylen and smiled when she saw his blush but frowned slightly, wondering why he was looking down again. She was about to ask him if something was wrong when she heard him speak. "Just us?" she repeated, slightly confused. She didn't see how, the elders made it very clear that they were going to watch and she didn't think anything could be done about it. However, the look on Daylen's face when he looked back up at her told her that he was determined to keep them out. This thought worried her, she didn't want Daylen to end up getting hurt in some way because of this. "I..I don't know what to say. H-How are you going to keep them away?" she asked. "I don't want you to get hurt Daylen." she added softly.

When she heard Raymon's voice she blinked and turned to look at him. "Oh, thank-you." she said politely and looked over at Daylen, hoping he would follow close behind. She just really hoped he ate something even though she was sure food was the last thing on his mind. Silently, she followed Raymon to the kitchen and wondered what her parents were doing at the moment.

Daylen stood still, he didn't want to eat. However Raymon returned after he showed Contessa the way to the table. He forced Daylen down the hallway and to the table. "Sit down, Master Daylen." He calmly spoke. With hesitation Daylen sat down. He looked at the plate in front of him. It looked delicious but his stomach turned seeing the food. He didn't want to eat it. He looked at Raymon as he set down a glass of water for Contessa then one for him. His stomach turned more seeing him place another glass for him down. It was clearly a blood substitute for vampires. Raymon just set a glass of white wine for Contessa who's plate was sitting across from him. "Enjoy." Raymon said before leaving the two alone. Daylen just looked at the fake blood with disgust, he hoped Raymon didn't force him to drink that.

Contessa happily took her seat and placed the crate on her lap, "Thank-you kindly." she said to Raymon and watched him leave before looking at Daylen. "I know you don't want to eat...or drink that, but you can't just stop eating. You have to eat. I'm not going to ask you to eat or drink it all, just a little bit." Contessa explained sweetly and offered a nervous smile at him. "Please?" she asked him softly. She wasn't going to make him eat or drink though if he didn't want to. She just hoped he didn't get sick right now since the transformation still wasn't completed. Her eyes remained on Daylen but decided it was best not to stare since she didn't want to seem like she was pressuring him because she really wasn't. Looking down at her food, she smiled. It looked and smelled delightful.

Daylen just looked at Contessa and sighed just a little. He didn't want to eat or drink the fake blood. He knew he needed to drink the substitute blood at least so nothing bad would happen. He didn't want to do it in front of her though. Daylen just stood up and excused himself taking the substitute blood with him. He hid from view in the kitchen. Raymon just watched him as made a disgusted face. Daylen took a deep breath before quickly drinking the liquid. He gagged afterwards, he had drank all of it quickly. Raymon just smiled as Daylen handle him the cup to clean. Surprisingly his stomach settled down after drinking the substitute blood. He just went back to the table and sat down. He smiled at her weakly and looked at his plate. He felt even more awkward after having drank the glass of fake blood.

Contessa noticed him when he got up to drink the fake blood away from her view. Why didn't he want to drink it in her presence? Would he always be like this? It was probably his way of not grossing her out even thought she wouldn't find it gross at all, she knew he had to drink it after all. Besides, even if she did find it a bit odd, she'd get used to it eventually. Contessa didn't say anything though, only smiled back at him when he returned, knowing that he probably didn't want to talk about what he just did and why. "Remember, you don't have to eat it all, it's okay." she reminded and looked at him, a happy smile on her face. "Thank-you though, for drinking that. I know you didn't want to." she commented softly. Quietly, she took a bite of her food and looked down at no name who had curled up in his crate, obviously tired. She would warm up some milk once she was done, and feed him before they went to bed.

Daylen just weakly smiled again. He really didn't want to eat. He was too depressed to, as long as he drank the substitute blood and the tonics on regular basis he would be fine. "I'm sorry but I can't. I'll be fine as long as I stay up on the substitute blood and tonics." That part was true in the stories. Vampires didn't need human food, their organs didn't function like normal creatures. "I'll keep you company as you eat." He told her softly. Daylen didn't mind if he stayed just to keep her company. They didn't even have to talk if she didn't want to. Just being around her made him feel better, made him not feel so alone.

Contessa sipped her white wine as she listened to him and smiled softly. She personally didn't like eating in front of someone who wasn't eating, but she enjoyed his company and it made her feel all warm inside knowing he wanted to keep her company. "That's very understandable Daylen, thank-you for being honest with me. I'm just glad you drank your drink." she answered honestly. She knew he wouldn't want to eat and she could understand why, she didn't want to eat much either but she was slightly hungry so that was the only reason she was eating. The wine was appreciated, she could easily drink more than one glass but she wasn't the type of girl that liked to drink too much wine anyway. It would probably help her forget today's events though. "I'm happy to know that you want to keep me company Daylen, it's very sweet of you." she confessed and blushed softly, taking another bite of her food.

Raymon just came out and gave Daylen another glass of the substitute blood before leaving again. Daylen just made a disgusted face as he looked at the glass then to his butler as he left to the kitchen. Why didn't he know any plain immortals besides Raymon. "You are having way too much fun with this Raymon." He said plainly. He heard his butler laugh, that right there told him he was. Daylen just sighed softly. Daylen was listening to Contessa as he looked at the glass again. The first one settled his stomach, tasted gross, though that could have been more mental. He kind of wanted to drink it, there was a slight urge to. That surprised him and also slightly scared him. He looked away from the glass, maybe if he didn't look at it he would be fine. He just looked at the garden trying his best not to look at the glass of substitute blood.

Contessa chuckled as she continued eating and wondered if he was going to drink that. She hoped he did, but he would probably leave to drink it again if he even wanted to drink it which she didn't think he did. When he looked away from the glass, she knew he was trying not to think of it. "I'm guessing you aren't going to drink that?" she assumed and smiled as she drank her wine happily. "It's okay if you don't, you already drank one glass so I don't think you really need to drink this one. Unless you want to drink it before bed? Perhaps that would be a good idea?" she suggested and shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know though, but it would probably keep you from getting up in the middle of the night to satisfy any craving. Although I'm sure the sleep tonic alone would help keep you asleep all night." Contessa explained. She realized she was rambling on and quickly shut her mouth as she ate her food, she didn't want to annoy Daylen.

Daylen just smiled softly hearing her ramble about the substitute blood and the tonic, he found it kind of cute. "That is why I have the Vampiric tonic with me, also why you have one as well." He told her softly. He turned to look at her. "I find the thought of the substitute blood disgusting and yet, I have a urge to drink it. That scares me." He didn't like that urge to drink it. "I shouldn't have the craving yet. I'm guessing that when I made the potion, I used the last of my magic. That most have accelerated the change. My sorcerer's blood no longer able to fight back." He was thinking again. His mind never did fully rest for long. He looked away so his eyes didn't rest on the glass. He felt drawn to it as if it was calling him. He silently cursed Raymon for bringing out the new glass. He shouldn't have drank the first one, it started the craving in a way.

Contessa continued eating her food until she had finished it all. Looking at what was left of her wine which wasn't much, she drank it all and smiled at him, listening to what he was saying about the substitute blood. "It scares you?" she repeated and frowned. "Well you don't have to drink it Daylen." she reminded and carefully stood up, placing the crate on her chair she picked up the glass filled with substitute blood and sniffed it before walking over to the refrigerator and placing it inside so that he wouldn't have to see it anymore. Though she knew he'd still be thinking about it. She just wanted to help any way she could. "Perhaps it has accelerated the transformation process. If that is the case then you should get used to these cravings faster right?" she asked curiously as she made her way back to the table and looked at him. "I apologize for my rambling. I sometimes tend to ramble when people actually want to talk to me, especially if I'm in a good mood or if I'm nervous." she explained.

Daylen just watched Contessa put up the substitute blood. The craving did scare him. Vampire's would act out of character to satisfy them. People normally got hurt or killed for that reason. He smiled softly at her attempt to help him from the drink. However her words did make sense. With his sorcerer's blood not longer placing a fight to keep his race and the substitute blood could have acted together to accelerate the change. A combination was more likely. "You're right Miss Contessa. Perhaps I will, but it still doesn't stop the fact that it scares me. A lot of people die from a vampire's craving." He told her meekly. He just didn't want to hurt someone, especially her.

It was known that people got hurt by vampires trying to satisfy their cravings, but she never knew that people actually died because of them. Daylen wasn't the type of person to purposely hurt someone though, if he hurt anyone it would be an accident, even if she was the one he hurt she knew it would be from an accident. Still, she'd have to be careful and make sure his cravings were always satisfied before it got out of hand. "Don't worry Daylen, I'll do my best to make sure your cravings are satisfied. I won't force you to drink the substitute blood if you don't want to though. We'll take this all one day at a time." she said reassuringly. There was no need to rush into this change, she wanted him to get comfortable with this and that would take a while to achieve.

Daylen just softly smiled at her. "I will have to drink it. Tonics alone would not work on the craving and I'm not drinking from people." The thought of biting someone, sinking his teeth in to get blood disgusted him for the time being. He hoped that thought and feeling didn't change. He liked the fact that she would be willing to help him with the craving. That made him feel better but he would have to force himself to drink the substitute blood so no harm would be done to her. He just stood up and walked to her. He decided to change the subject since the sun was fully down. "Let's change the subject. Miss Contessa, have you ever seen a Weeping Cherry tree?" He asked her curiously. He knew she liked plants and wanted to take her to a very special place in the garden.

Contessa just smiled and nodded, "Understood Daylen. I know you don't want to drink it, but I'm proud of you for drinking it anyway." she praised and picked up the crate, wrapping her arms around it as she held it close to her body. A light blush spread on her cheeks when he walked over to her and she raised an eyebrow. "Very well." she started and listened, shaking her head when he had finished speaking. "I'm afraid I haven't had the pleasure of seeing one yet." she answered honestly. "Why do you ask?" she asked, wondering what it was that he was planning to do. The sun was gone, so they would be able to take a walk now which she was excited for, but he obviously had something planned.

He smiled softly hearing her words. Daylen just took the small crate and set it on the table. "Raymon watch this little guy and feed him some warm milk please. Thank you." He asked and thanked his butler who came in and nodded. Daylen then just took Contessa's hand in his before leaving the solarium. He lead her in silence through the garden then into the maze. In less then ten minutes they came upon a opening in the maze. A large tree that resembled a Weeping willow stood in the center, it's vines covered in small pink flowers. Daylen just released her hand and smiled weakly at her. "It is where Sirus buried his little refrigerator fairy." He told her softly. Sirus literally had the maze built around the area.

Contessa blinked in confusion when Daylen took the crate and set it on the table. "Oh, okay." she replied softly and followed Daylen out to the large maze. This seemed like a good place to hide too, though she would probably end up getting lost on here instead. When they reached the large tree that he was talking about, she stared at it in awe. "It's beautiful.." she breathed and knew it had to be even lovelier in the morning light. "Oh yes, little Alberta the refrigerator light fairy." Contessa answered, remembering that little story when she had first met them both. It must have been a sad day for him, the day she died. Speaking of burials, she wondered where they would bury Sirus. She didn't want to ask though, no need to open up fresh wounds.

He looked around the clearing. Sirus had kept it up, flowers of all colors lined the tall bushes that formed the walls. There was an area large enough for a small building. "This place was very special to my brother. I see it only fitting that his mausoleum is placed here. What do you think?" He asked her sadly. He was going to save his mother the pain of having to make the decisions on Sirus' funeral. This way he could also respect his brother's imaginary friend, visiting both of them frequently. He just walked over to the base of the tree, he knelt down and cleared off a flat gravestone with Alberta's name and the years of the refrigerator. It was rather old but it still was in great condition. He smiled remembering all the things Sirus did for the imaginary fairy. He was glad he had taken the tonic or he probably break down and cry again.

It was very clear that Sirus cared very much about his little fairy friend. "Oh Daylen, I think that's a wonderful idea! I'm sure Sirus would appreciate it." Contessa answered honestly and frowned softly. She knew this was going to be hard for him to do, but she'd be at his side every step of the way. She watched him kneel down at the tree's base and brush off some dirt from Alberta's grave stone. Quietly, she walked over beside him and placed a hand on his shoulder gently, kneeling down beside him and smiling sadly at the grave stone belonging to the refrigerator fairy. "Hello Alberta, it's nice to finally meet you despite the circumstances. Sirus spoke very fondly of you, thank-you for your service all that time. You are greatly missed, as is Sirus." she whispered softly. This wasn't going to be easy for anyone, poor Rosa was probably crying her eyes out right now at having lost her oldest son at the hands of their cousin.

Daylen just looked at Contessa when she placed her hand on his shoulder. He weakly smiled, he found it fitting for his brother to be close to Alberta. He would have to show her how to get here on her own so she wouldn't get lost. He would have to visit at night but she was free to visit during the day. He was sure she would want too. He just listened to Contessa talk to the imaginary dead fairy's headstone. Sirus was greatly missed already. When he begged for Claire's and Saria's blood they broke down crying from the news. That's why they gladly gave over their blood. Both Claire and Saria loved him dearly. Daylen just looked at the headstone. He set out to prevent the death of his brother but failed at it. Instead he condemned himself out of hatred and anger.

She wasn't a fan of violence but she was happy to know that Chris would pay for this. How exactly would he pay? She wasn't sure but she knew something would be thought of for him. Looking at Daylen, Contessa smiled back at him and pat his shoulder gently. "It's okay...it's going to be okay." she said reassuringly to both him and herself. It was all she could think of to say at the moment, sometimes silence was the best support though. She wondered if anyone would arrive for the burial though, surely Miss Claire and Saria would attend. Or perhaps Daylen didn't want anyone to show up. Maybe he wanted to be alone when he did it. If that was what he wanted, then she too would give him the space.
