"Very...I don't want to yell at you Daylen. I hate it." she mumbled and looked at him. "At least you're smiling, so I know you're happy now. That's good." she noted and quickly finished up cleaning the glass and throwing it in the trash. "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry Daylen." she stated and grabbed a clean glass for him, handing it over to him. "Here you are Daylen. Yes you look fine, burnt...but at least you're not cut or bleeding. I was very worried you know." she explained and felt like she could finally relax now that he seemed to be happy with her and not upset. "I'll just pour you a glass of the blood actually, so that you don't get hurt." Contessa suggested and opened up the fridge to get the substitute blood for him.

Daylen just looked at Contessa, he liked how she worried about him but there was no need really. He did stupid things and gladly paid the price when he did. However he wasn't upset or anything before hand. "I wasn't upset Miss Contessa. I know it's hard to read my emotions. I have seventeen years of hiding them built up. Slightest emotion and someone could have gotten hurt or killed. That habit won't be easy to break." He told her softly. "I rather you yell then do things just to please me. There is no such thing as a perfect spouse. I may not understand emotions when I'm feeling them but I believe love is when you know both sides of someone and still can't imagine life without them. How can we learn to love each other if we both hide our good and bad sides?" It was more of a statement then a question. He simply wanted to know her, so he could hopefully fall in love with her. To do that, he needed her to state her mind. As for not liking her when she was mad, could anyone be liked when they were mad? Daylen just took the glass and held it the best he could. His hands were stinging with every movement. Daylen just softly smiled at Contessa.

Contessa smiled as she listened to him and pulled out the container with the substitute blood in it and carefully poured some into the glass he was holding. "I understand, and I shall try my best to voice my opinions. You're right, I'm not a doll...I'm a living person and I should behave as such. It was silly of me to get upset." she admitted and blushed, looking at him. "Why...Daylen diPavia, you actually want to fall in love with me? I'm flattered." she said sweetly and giggled. The thought of them loving one another was a sweet one, but she knew it would be quite a while before they got to that level. "I believe I show my good side all the time, I'm not sure what my bad side is...well except for when I'm angry. I suppose that's my bad side." Contessa said softly as she put the container back into the refrigerator.

Daylen just listened to her, his soft smile never left his face. He didn't find it silly to get upset over that, he could understand why. He was always emotionless and could offend people easily. That was why his brother handle the face to face contact with customers, well except when he needed a test subject. "Why wouldn't I want to love my wife?" He asked her curiously, drinking come of the substitute blood she just poured him. Rejuvenating him so his healing would accelerate. He didn't want a loveless marriage, that often lead to misery and he lived a long time in it. Now that he could leave the pain and worries behind, to some point. He didn't want his eternal youth and lifetime with her in misery. For once he would be selfish and try for happiness with Contessa. He just needed to work on himself so he could. "You pretty much seen me. My anger and my normal side. I never really had a happy side after seven." He told her softly. He wouldn't try to anger her to see her temper, just let it come out on it's own if it ever did.

Contessa giggled and nodded, "I know you do, I was just teasing. It makes me a happy lady to hear that you know. I'm sure we'll get there Daylen, it's going to take time but we'll get there." Contessa replied simply and pouted when he spoke about never having a happy side. "True, that I have." she agreed and nodded in agreement. "Well I hope I can change that Daylen. I want my husband to be happy." she said and smiled. "I like it when you smile Daylen, it's a good look on you. You don't have to smile all the time, I know it's impossible for everyone to smile at all times without getting tired. But smiling when you're truly happy is always loved." she informed quietly. "I do make you happy right? At least a little bit?" she asked and looked at him as she absentmindedly smoothed out her dress.

Daylen just listened to her as she spoke. His arms returning quickly to their normal state as he drank his drink slowly. He was able to now hold his drink with one hand. He looked at his forearm on his free hand. It was recoloring back to his normal flesh color. Right now it was a slight red from the muscles. The skin was beginning to hide the red from beneath. He never got tired of the healing ability from the vampiric race. He was snapped from the thought of figuring how to isolate that trait and replicate it in a tonic from her questions. He had been listening to her as he thought to himself. "You do." He told her softly. In the short time he known her she did make him happy. He liked her curiosity and her company. Even when they didn't talk he liked knowing she was there.

Contessa grinned happily, hearing his words. She had to refrain from jumping up and down in absolute glee. "Well I'm happy to hear that Daylen." she said as calmly as she could. "Are you going back to your study to continue on your project?" Contessa asked curiously. "I personally think you should take a break before you go back to work, give your arms to fully heal properly." she explained softly while brushing some hair away from her face. She probably still looked very tired, but she wanted to spend time with Daylen, even if that meant falling to sleep while he worked.

Daylen just looked at looked at Contessa then to his glass. He wasn't so sure if he would take a break. He should after the major injury but that never stopped him before. "I know I should take a break. I never really stopped for breaks before even when I got seriously injured." He smiled softly remembering his brother. "Once Sirus' had a prank gone wrong. He blew up the study with us in it. Technically we should have died then. There was allot of blood, I had to cauterize both of us and before giving us both the potion to recover. I told him woodroot and chimera seeds didn't mixt, he never listened well." He told her softly. "I went back to work while the potion took effect, breaks are not something I tend to do." He just continued to look at his glass. His smiled faded thinking of Sirus and the pranks. He would oddly miss the pranks from his older brother. He couldn't believe it been a week since the death and every night since the mausoleum was placed he would visit him.

Contessa listened in silence and nodded, he did need to rest but if he didn't want to take a break then he didn't have to. Last thing she wanted to do was have him do something he wasn't comfortable doing. "Well you don't have to if you don't want to Daylen." Contessa assured and giggled softly when he mentioned Sirus' prank. "Oh dear, well he never did it again I'm sure. Sometimes bad things have to happen for people to learn." she said softly and frowned when she noticed that Daylen was no longer smiling. She couldn't blame him, it felt like it was just yesterday that Daylen was pranked with the itching powder in his study. Contessa always heard that twins had a closer bond to one another, so when one was gone the other suffered twice as much as someone without a twin would. "I miss him too." she whispered softly and crossed her arms behind her back.

Daylen continued to looked at the glass. His brother never did learn. That was something they had in common. They both never gave up. "He never did. Allot of his pranks went wrong. Rather it was his fault for not listening or forcing a reaction from me causing a fire." He told her softly. "That one was just the closest to death we both been at the time." He just slowly look up at Contessa and weakly smiled. "Sirus was just as bad as me when it came to his pranks." It was a stubborn issue they held. Made it harder when they fought. Both never yielded. They would end up having a duel, Sirus was always the winner. They both were skilled with swords but Sirus was more athletic.

"He just really enjoyed pranking you. I'm just glad to know that no one died due to any of his pranks." Contessa started. Sirus really did enjoy living on the edge, didn't he know how dangerous his brother was when angered? He probably did and that's why he continued to push Daylen's buttons the way he did. It was who he was, and she missed that. The place seemed much too quiet now that Sirus wasn't here exploding pastries or setting down itching powder bombs all over the place. No more journal excerpts that made Daylen sound like a pervert. The thought of that made her laugh softly but she quickly shook her head. "I'm sure he's pranking people up there. Oh dear, itching powder bombs everywhere!" she commented and giggled, trying to cheer Daylen up.

He would agree with her there. He did love pranking him. He was also happy no one died from any of his pranks. He could imagine Sirus annoying their father over pranking people. Though after he had his fill he would turn to pranking his father and their ancestors. "Sirus is probably harassing our father and the rest of our ancestors." He told her softly. "Then after he has his fill, he most like will start bombing the place." He smiled softly at Contessa. Though there was one time it backfired. "Did he ever tell you about the time he accidentally got our mother instead of me? It was rather hilarious I have to admit." He chuckled lightly at the memory.

Contessa nodded and clapped her hands, laughing softly at what Daylen had said. It was very easy to picture Sirus doing those things. "I'm sure he is doing just that. He must be having a wonderful time, and I am sure everyone is both sad but happy to see him up there." she said warmly and shook her head. "No, I don't think he did anyway. What happened?" she asked. She was curious to know now what he found hilarious. Contessa couldn't remember if Sirus had ever told her about getting their mother by accident so she was pretty sure he never did tell her, probably because he himself didn't find it funny and got scolded for it.

The soft smiled never left Daylen's face. Sirus was probably having the time of his life with their father. Figuratively speaking. "Once Sirus enchanted a cheesecake. It was meant for me but our mother took a piece. It changed her voice into a deep masculine one, it would have turned mine feminine. It lasted several days." He softly laughed at the memory. "Our mother was very angry with him, he spent nearly a week in the dungeon for it. However, it was rather humorous listening to her scold him with a deep voice." He loved that prank though he would never admit it to anyone, especially his mother. She had a very bad temper when it came to making her upset, best to stay on her good side.

As Contessa listened to Daylen explain to her what had happened she couldn't help but grin in amusement. Sirus liked sweets, but he also seemed to enjoy adding something extra to them to surprise everyone. Laughing softly, Contessa shook her head and looked at Daylen. "Sirus didn't warn your mother? I guess he wanted to prank whoever he could, I don't blame your mother for not finding it funny. I don't think anyone would have found it funny." Contessa said but chuckled anyway because it was rather funny just to picture it in her head. "I can see how that can be funny though." she quickly added.

"He tried but she took a bite before he would fully warn her." Daylen just chuckled softly. "It was the best prank he pulled." He just smiled softly. "He pulled a lot of good pranks." By now Daylen was fully healed, his glass still had a little substitute blood in it. He just set down the glass and waved through the sun patches. He would have to get a refrigerator for his study. Keep it in the vault so he could have continuous access to the liquid. Once he had the substitute blood he made his way back to the glass. He was running low and needed to make more. He decided he would take the bottle with him and the glass. "Should get back to work. I still need to make the sunscreen and isolate the healing gene in the vampiric gene so enhance my tonics." He told Contessa softly. The sun was shifting and would soon be filling the kitchen.

"I agree, he did pull a lot of good pranks even though we didn't find them funny at the moment they were pulled." Contessa agreed and watched him avoid the sunlight to get more substitute blood. "You know I could have gotten that for you Daylen." she reminded. He was going to go back to work? Well at least he took a break with her, they hadn't talked this much in a while. They were always so nervous around each other but it was nice to know that they were opening up to each other. "I understand." she answered and yawned softly. "May I watch?" she asked and walked over to one of the chairs, picking up the crate from where it sat and walked back to Daylen.

Daylen would agree, he never found them funny at the time. He found them rather annoying but he was mostly the target. Only on rare occasions did someone else get pranked. He weakly smiled. "As long as I avoid the sun, I'm fine." He didn't mind doing this for himself. He was actually used to it but he liked when she took care of him at times. "You don't have to ask. You're always welcomed in my study." He didn't mind if she watched him. She could even help him if she wanted. "Raymon suggested something I wanted to talk to you about actually. Since I can't really be in sun lighted areas. I was wondering if you would like to deal with the customers and take their orders when they pop in from time to time. Raymon will be delivering them." He asked her softly, motioning her towards the study.

Contessa smiled at his weak smile, at least it was a smile. "Well alright, but know that I'm always available to help you out whenever you need it." she reminded warmly. She knew he was perfectly capable of doing things on his own, that didn't mean that she didn't want to help him out though. He was always working so hard on so many things, a little help from her could really help him out. It was nice to know that she was always welcomed in his study, she did enjoy his company and watching him work and since he said that, he obviously enjoyed her company too. Contessa tilted her head to the side when he spoke of a suggestion he and Raymon had been talking about. "Oh? What is it?" she asked and blinked in surprise and followed him to his study as she thought about the suggestion. "I would love to Daylen!" she answered happily. It didn't sound hard, just write down the orders and the name of the person who made the order then give that information to Daylen.

Daylen just nodded as he set the bottle of substitute blood and his glass on his desk. He would clean the cauldron and start over in a little bit. He took a book off the shelf. He opened the book at a certain page and leaned back against his desk. There were papers with scribbled writing on them bookmarking his place. He was going to give his arms a break by continuing with another project. I was nice to know she was willing to help him, it felt odd in a way. He smiled softly looking at her. "It's very easy work. I could even teach you how to fill some orders. My shelves are always stocked, if you ever needed more than on the shelf. My vault is stocked and the locked room in the pantry are as well. I can label them for you, make it easier. Also the key I gave you can open that room in the pantry" He would label them later though, perhaps after he visited Sirus. Deylen closed the book and set it on the desk. He searched the desk until he found a black leather bound book. It had all his customers and what they always ordered, also the pricing he settled on for the amount given. He handed Contessa the book. "I believe this will be more useful to you now." He had memorized his customers so he didn't really need it anymore. It was more for Sirus.

Contessa set the crate down on a chair and picked up no name in her hands, petting him softly and kissing the top of his furry little head. Her eyes looked around the study, it wasn't too messy, but it wasn't as clean as it was before she had left. Things still looked organized though, it made her happy seeing the study the way it was though; Daylen was here most of the day so it only made sense for things to get scattered around a bit. Looking back at Daylen, she smiled and nodded. "I'm sure it's easy work, though a little tutorial would really help me." she admitted and walked over to him as he spoke. So he was always really stocked up on stuff, very impressive. "I see, impressive Daylen. I didn't know you were stocked up that much, you're prepared for any order." she noted and chuckled. Contessa took the book with her free hand and looked through it. "Thank-you Daylen, this is going to help a great deal." she thanked and read it carefully. "Interesting." she said to herself.

Need a tutorial? Daylen smiled softly as he returned back to his notes that bookmarked the page he been reading. "You just write down what they ordered and the amount. If you don't feel comfortable giving them the tonics, you can let Raymon or myself do it. Nothing hard or troubling. Like I said I will label everything so you don't have to worry about making a mistake. If you do, my customers are kind enough to work with you." He said reassuring her, it really was as easy as it sounded. "Well except Miaror. He'll give you trouble. If you see him, just come get Raymon or me. Don't even bother with him." He was warning her plainly. He didn't want her alone with him at any time. Turning back to his notes, Daylen just reread them. "I had a lot of time on my hands this past week." His smile slowly faded. With his brother's death and changing, he just needed to keep his mind off of things. Work did the job and got him a overstocked on tonics and inventions.

Contessa closed the book and looked up at Daylen when he spoke. It was a habit of hers to look at the person as they spoke, it wasn't something she was taught, it just happened. "Sounds easy enough." she replied and stiffened at the mention of Miaror, something about that man just frightened her. "Will do. I don't particularly like that man." she commented. She really didn't want to be left alone with that man, who knew what could happen. She'd have to be quick on her feet if that man showed up. Judging from the warning Daylen had given her about him, it was obvious that he didn't want her alone with him either. Contessa set down no name back into his crate and gave Daylen a quick hug before letting him get back to work. He didn't have a lot of free time like he said, he had a lot to distract himself from and she knew that's what he meant. "Well thank you for letting me help you out Daylen." she said softly.

Daylen just looked over his notes. He didn't even think Miss Claire liked Miaror. Why she turned him into a vampire was beyond him. He was a cruel, arrogant bloodling. He was snapped out of thoughts when Contessa suddenly hugged him. Daylen lightly smiled as he looked at her. "Truth be told Miss Contessa, I don't think even Miss Claire likes him." He just turned back to his notes. "Raymon may be just an immortal but he is rather skilled when it comes to fighting. He thought Sirus and I how to handle swords. Though Sirus was always better at the physical exercises then I was." He told her calmly. He was going through the pictures. He could see some differences maybe those held the ability he wanted to isolate and recreate for his healing tonics.

Contessa couldn't help but chuckle softly at this, "You really think that?" she asked him. If Miss Claire didn't like that man, then why was she trusting him to do as she said? Probably because that man probably liked her and she knew? "Perhaps no one likes him?" Contessa suggested honestly. She was surprised to know that Raymon was the one who taught both of them how to use a sword, she hoped that they never actually had to use them though. "Wait...how come I'm only meeting Raymon now?" Contessa asked curiously. "I don't think I've seen him when I first started visiting you." she commented while thinking back to the days when she first met both Sirus and Daylen. When she had visited the manor, she didn't remember seeing Raymon anywhere.
