Contessa nodded and knew she'd have to use a lot of mouthwash right now to kill the smell and the taste, that would have to wait though. So she would know when it started working? Was it supposed to make her stomach feel even better right now? Or would it get her regular eye color back? Contessa carefully placed both empty coffee cups back on the tray Raymon was holding and took a cream puff. It was probably a bad idea to eat right now, but she hadn't really eaten any real food today, just some fruit salad. She'd have to make herself an actual meal today, probably after getting some rest.

After the last of the ingredients were up, Daylen look up at Contessa. "Your eye color will return to normal when the root wears off. I will make your stomach feel better and make you very hungry, that's the side effect. However you'll keep everything down." He wasn't really paying attention. "Sorry my ability is off today, I keep reading minds." He then looked at Raymon, a plain but annoyed look on his face as he did. "You Raymon are a very disturbing old man." Raymon just smiled sweetly at Daylen. "Sorry, I can't help but think of current things with delicious looking people around." Daylen just looked at him, the look still stern on his face. "Daniel is the werewolf, yet he isn't having the same thoughts as you." Raymon just snickered. He couldn't help it, he was a very curious man. Daylen just started to empty the cauldron so he could clean it. Raymon was just watching as he did, the odd look never leaving his face.

"Oh I see, that's interesting." Contessa said and chuckled, "Don't be sorry Daylen it's alright." she added and ate the cream puff quietly while listening to the conversation between both Raymon and Daylen. Delicious looking people? Hmm, should I be worried? she thought to herself then laughed which surprised even her. She didn't mean to laugh out of nowhere but it happened. To hide her embarrassment, Contessa ate the cream puffs one by one until they were all gone. "Those were delicious Raymon, thank-you very much." she said kindly and waited to see if she would gag. So far she wasn't, Daylen was right once again which didn't surprise her.

Daylen just dropped the scrub brush and stared at Raymon, his face was red. "Raymon, just stop that thought." He was having a hard time facing his butler. Raymon's thoughts were swirling in his head. "Raymon just go make Miss Contessa something to eat." He said embarrassed. Raymon just nodded before leaving the study. He never got the chance to reply to Contessa before Daylen kicked him out. Daylen's face was still red as he began to clean the cauldron once more. He was still thinking about what Raymon had, which only deepened his blush. Was Raymon always that disturbing even when he was a child? He wasn't sure if he wanted to know about that side of his long serving butler. He knew Raymon was curious but that was too curious for him.

Contessa raised an eyebrow and watched Raymon leave then looked back at Daylen who was busy cleaning. A small yawn escaped her lips, she didn't even know that she was that tired but she was looking forward to the food that Raymon would make for her. "Is everything okay Daylen?" she asked hesitantly, he was obviously focused on what he was doing and she didn't want to disturb him in any way. So judging from the fact that the test had worked, that meant it was a good thing. So she was going through something good, so then she shouldn't be too worried...at least this meant that she'd be okay for tomorrow's little get together.

Daylen just shook his head softly. "Not really." He sighed softly. "Raymon is rather disturbing today." He didn't want to tell her what his butler was thinking. "He was just thinking of things he shouldn't. At least not around me." He told her softly. His face was still red from the blushing. The sad part about what Raymon was thinking was now what he was thinking. He had thought of it before but quickly abandon it. "I can not seem to get his thoughts out of my head. It's rather annoying, and perverted." Part of him wasn't thrilled the thought was in his mind now, yet the other part actually like it. He shook his head trying to rid of those images and thoughts Raymon placed in his mind. "I think I rather drink blood then see those images again." He spoke more to himself then Contessa with the last statement.

Contessa listened in silence and frowned slightly at his words. "Really? Well that doesn't sound pleasant at all." she started. "I'm sorry you had to read that then, I don't think I want to know what he was thinking. Maybe he is just messing with you?" she suggested, trying to help in some way. Hearing his last comment, she smiled tiredly; "Perhaps you should then. Would you like me to go get you some substitute blood Daylen?" she asked softly. Looking down at no name on her lap, she ran her fingers through his soft fur as he slept peacefully on her lap. Sleep seemed like a good thing right now, but she was enjoying her time here with Daylen even if they didn't talk much...it was still rather entertaining.

Daylen smiled softly. "I meant real blood, Miss Contessa." He told her softly for the thoughts were that bad. He didn't believe he was thinking they were just to pick on him. Raymon seemed to rather enjoy them. "I think he was just being a pervert. It was mostly about the pleasure from when I bit him." He stopped talking before he finished the rest. He sighed softly to himself. "Raymon is a disturbing man on some parts of his personal life." He cleared his throat. "Thank you for the offer. I'm fine at the moment and don't need the substitute blood." He smiled softly at her as he finished cleaning the cauldron. "Are you feeling any better?" He asked her curiously and trying to change the subject.

"Ohhh that." she said and shook her head. She still couldn't believe he had said that, Raymon sure was an odd butler. "Well try not to let it bother you so much Daylen." she suggested with a small smile. If Daylen needed real blood he'd probably end up biting Raymon again and hopefully she wasn't there to witness it. Who knew what Raymon would say that time. Contessa snapped out of her thoughts and nodded at Daylen's question. "Yes I am, thank-you. That was the most repulsive tonic I have ever had, but it was really helpful and I'd gladly drink it again if I needed it." she answered honestly. "I'm slightly tired is all, but I'm looking forward to getting some food in my stomach before I take a quick nap." she added, knowing he wanted to change the subject. "Are you going to run another test on me today?" she asked curiously.

Daylen just look at her as she spoke. He was going to try to not think of it. He lightly sighed hearing her answer to his question. It wasn't a bad one, but one that was a relief to change the subject. "Miss Contessa it is still too early for tests. However with the lavender eyes and the tonic you just drank, the queasiness and tiredness. I believe you are with child." He simply told her. "The tonic was for morning sickness. The lavender eyes meant maternal issues." He explained to her in his soft voice. "On rare occasions symptoms act this early, though it's not unheard of." He smiled softly at her. "However in two weeks I will want to draw blood, to test just in case. Hopefully it is pregnancy and nothing else." He told her. His heart skipped hearing those words but he was actually happy of those results.

Contessa listened easily, but was not prepared for what he said next. "A child?!" she cried and placed her hands over her mouth. She wasn't upset, just surprised, slightly scared, and a bit worried. She was happy though too, she was probably pregnant! Still, she wasn't sure if she was ready to be a mother yet, If she couldn't even take care of her husband how could she even think of taking care of a child? That thought scared her the most, the thought of not being able to take care of her own child. They didn't even have a nursery, and she still had a room to paint. They had many things to do before they could even think about having a child. "Blood work...o-okay then I understand." she muttered absentmindedly.

Daylen just watched her. He himself was happy but he was so used to hiding his emotions it was easier for him to handle the news. That and he was the one delivering the news. He just nodded softly. "Yes with child. If you want I can make the tonic for you every time you get queasy. Once we know for sure, Raymon has dealt with pregnancies before. He'll help care for you during the time." He paused slightly before continuing." He just looked at the desk in front of him. "I could take you to an actual doctor for a second opinion if you would like?" He wasn't a doctor but he was very accurate and his tonics were highly sought after.

Contessa only frowned and shook her head. "No it's okay Daylen I believe you." she answered quietly and looked down at her feet. If it was true that she was pregnant, she was going to have to tell her parents which would be very happy for her. They'd probably bombard her with questions too. Questions which she wouldn't have the answers to most likely. Her hand was shaking but she payed it no attention. "So in two weeks you'll want blood work?" she repeated but nodded before he could answer her question. Okay I understand." she whispered and stood up. "I....I think I should get some rest, try to digest this information." Contessa started and looked at Daylen. "T-tell Raymon I'll eat later. I'm not hungry right now. I'll leave you to your work. Thank-you for the tonic, I really appreciate it." she thanked and smiled weakly before holding the crate close to her and walking out of the study, closing the door behind her and walking to their room in hopes of getting some sleep.

Daylen just watched her. He could understand her reaction. It was rather large news, especially since they still didn't know each other that well. He would have offered her something to help her sleep but she left before he could really do anything. He let out a sigh before sitting down in his chair. Daylen took a deep breath as he thought about the results from the tonic. The signs pointed to it and so did the root and morning sickness tonic. It was exciting news but he couldn't help be feel she wasn't really happy with it. He shook his head from the thoughts. She would talk to him about it when she was ready. Daylen removed the book from his desk. He would read some more in hopes to removing his brain from such thoughts.

Contessa walked into their room and closed the door behind her, then set the crate down on the floor. She slipped out of her sweater dress and shoes then pulled on her pajamas in silence and sat on the edge of the bed. Her, a mother? No, she didn't know anything about being a mother, but she was still happy. Though Daylen probably thought she wasn't because she didn't once express any sort of happiness towards the news. She was happy though, just that the emotion of fear and worry overpowered the happiness. "Good job Contessa." Contessa muttered to herself and slipped under the covers, just wanting to get some sleep so that she'd be prepared for tomorrow night. Quickly she checked on no name who was fast asleep in his crate. Letting out a sigh of relief, Contessa lay back down and pulled the blanket over her head, closed her eyes and tried to get some sleep.

Hours flew by as Daylen read in silence. He could feel a deep ache in his abdomen. It felt like he was starving even though he drank multiple glasses of fake blood and tonics to state the craving. Daniel was now on duty and he kept bringing him glass after glass. As soon Daniel brought in a glass, Daylen would drink it as quickly as possible. Yet he was still hungry. However Daniel just offered him the real thing, he could easily get some for Daylen but his offer kept being refused. Daylen just rested his elbows on the desk in front of the book. He ran his hand through his hair as he read the book. The more he read the more things made sense. He was in the process of reading about the vampiric cravings when Daniel brought him another glass. They just looked at each other. "The longer you go without, the bigger the risk." He simply told Daylen before leaving the study. Daylen knew what he meant, but something kept stopping him.

After hours of what was supposed to be a short nap, Contessa woke up and stretched out before stepping out of bed and styling her messy hair in a messy bun. Once that was over with, she walked barefoot out of the room and headed to the kitchen. She was really hungry now and knew she had to eat something, she really didn't want to pass out from not eating. It was pretty dark out now, so that meant that Raymon was no longer on duty, Daniel was. That was great...bumping into him was awkward since they never spoke and it was obvious he had no intentions of ever speaking to her. Sighing softly, she walked into the kitchen, opened the refrigerator and started looking through what was inside. What would she make? What was she in the mood for? "Pasta!" she gasped and started looking for the things she would need.

Daniel was finishing up cleaning the pantry after the explosion. Raymon had called the repairs for the day after tomorrow. Upon walking to the kitchen. He folded his arms over his chest. His expression was plain as ever. "Soup is on the stove." He plainly told her. He moved a shelf with the pastries Raymon had made to make room for another one. He was helping prepare for the gathering. He had stocked some unique packages for Daylen when he went crazed with was bound to happen. He just walked over the counter and took a few trays. Placing the trays neatly shelf and repeating the process. He was still wore his hood up even in the dark.

Contessa stopped doing what she was doing and felt stupid. "O-Oh okay then..." she said quietly and put everything away back where she had found it before grabbing a bowl and serving herself some soup and sitting at the table, hating the awkward silence that filled the kitchen. Say something...anything. Or maybe not, wouldn't want to upset him. she thought to herself. Since she didn't trust herself to keep quiet, she stuck a spoonful of the soup in her mouth which resulted in burning her tongue but she didn't care. It was the only way she could keep quiet. Contessa wasn't used to eating alone or in absolute silence. Her parents always spoke during breakfast and dinner, but she'd soon get used to this too she supposed.

Daniel just worked in silence. He was never one for talking, but for a long reason. He finished placing the trays before he brought in large, heavy crates filled full of bottles and vegetables. He stacked them neatly with every box he brought in. He seemed more like a laborer then a butler. He didn't mind however, he was used to hard work. He was still waiting for the approval list from Raymon for the night staff, until then. He did everything. Daniel just took a crate to the sink, setting it on the counter. He began to clean the vegetables so Raymon could just cut and cook them. He then dried the vegetable and placed it in a large bowl. He repeated the process with the washing and drying.

Contessa just continued eating her soup in silence and when she finished, she poured herself some more and sat back down to continue eating. She wondered what Daylen was doing, it was probably a good idea to go check up on him. She didn't think he was sleeping in his study, he was probably still reading that book that Daniel had let him borrow. Even so, Daylen needed to sleep, no sleep was not good for one's sanity. She knew though that no matter how many times she told him to take a break, he wouldn't and she had to accept that. Contessa continued eating her soup in silence, listening to Daniel move around and wash stuff in the kitchen.

After completing his task. Daniel just went to the refrigerator, taking out a pitcher he poured a small glass full of a orange liquid. It was sweet in scent. He placed the pitcher back into the refrigerator then set the glass near Contessa on the table. "Sweet mango tea." Was all he said before turning and leaving the kitchen before she could speak. He went into the study where he found Daylen still studying the book. Simply picking up the empty glass he left to return to the kitchen. Where he began to fix a small snack for Daylen and refill of substitute blood. When that was finished he left the kitchen and returned to the study. "Eat" He simple told Daylen before leaving. Daylen just watched as the man left. He sighed and looked at the tray his butler set down. The glass of substitute blood cold and the small sandwiches looked odd. He never thought he would ever be eating one of those sandwiches his customers did.

Contessa's eyes lit up at the glass of tea, but before she could thank him he was gone. She finished her soup and drank her tea happily, it was really sweet. Maybe a bit too sweet for her liking but at the moment she really liked how sweet it was, maybe that fact that Daylen loved sweet coffee had some sort of influence on her now. When Daniel returned she finished up her juice and watched him fix up a snack and leave once again. It was then that she got up and grabbed her empty bowl and glass and left to the sink and washed them carefully along with her spoon. When her dishes were clean, she set them on the rack to dry and decided to go check on Daylen, smiling softly as Daniel walked right past her. Sighing, Contessa knocked and walked into the study to see Daylen reading that book which didn't surprise her.

Daylen just sighed softly even after the snacks and substitute blood he was still hungry. The sandwiches helped but not a lot. He could feel the ache inside of his abdomen. He would just have to ignore it. He turned the page, reading halfway before he heard the door open. Daylen just smiled when he saw it was Contessa. "Good evening Miss Contessa. Did you rest well?" He asked her as he straightened up. He was slightly slumped over from the ache in his stomach. The intensity if it would change frequently, sometimes causing him to double over. It wasn't too bad, just enough to make him slouch every once in a while. From what he was guessing and the book's words, it was the craving.

"Yes...yes I rested well." Contessa answered absentmindedly as she looked at Daylen worriedly. "Is...is everything okay with you Daylen? Are you in any pain?" she asked curiously and wondered if perhaps he was sick as well. "Are you ill as well?" she asked and walked towards him to get a better look but he looked perfectly fine. Why wasn't he standing upright? Perhaps he pulled something? Yes, yes that was probably what it was. "Daylen..." she started and pouted, "Do you need anything?" she asked. That's not what she wanted to say but it seemed much more fitting. The reason she came here was to talk about the possibility of being pregnant. "I came here to check on you, and to talk about today's...event. I know I don't look very happy about it, but I am Daylen believe me I am. I'm just worried, and afraid. It is not about you, it's about me." she explained before he could say anything.
