Daylen just nodded slightly. He was okay, sort of. "I'm fine, just a stomach ache." He told her plainly. It wasn't a lie, his stomach did ache. He adjusted himself and smiled weakly. "It's okay, I understand your reaction. It wasn't really a good way to find out." He really did understand her reaction. It would be rather weird if she jumped for joy. "Under certain circumstances, it would have being awkward for anything but the reaction you had." He told her in his soft voice. "We still don't know each other well. All the events leading to the marriage on both sides. Then a pregnancy. Life for us is very busy, especially in the short time we knew each other." His weak smile slowly turns into his soft smile.

"A stomach ache?" she repeated and nodded in agreement at his words. They still didn't know much about each other, and they both were still pretty busy with stuff to actually sit down and talk. The few times they did talk though, they didn't even talk much so it made not much of a difference. "You're right, we still don't know each other very well, and we are rather busy with things that we don't really have any free time to spend together." Contessa answered softly and smiled back at him, she really liked seeing him smile. "Do you have a tonic for stomach aches? If not, would you like me to make you one?" she offered kindly. A stomach ache was something she could handle, so she was pretty sure she could take care of Daylen if he really did have a stomach ache like he claimed.

Daylen just smiled softly and nodded. It was a stomach ache, just not a normal one. "We'll just have to make dates then. That way we can." He told her softly. The way he lightly tilted his head made his black hair rest gently on his face. He would rather enjoy that, he enjoyed working. Kept his mind busy, yet spending time with her seemed a better use of his time. "I'm afraid a tonic won't work on this stomach ache Miss Contessa. I am just hungry, the substitute blood just isn't filling today." He told her softly, it was just a simple case of hunger. At least that is all he was playing it to be. He had drank a lot today but he was just getting hungrier and hungrier as the time pass by.

"Dates?" she repeated and chuckled. "I've never been on a date before, but it sounds fun. I didn't know people could go on dates when they were married, I thought that was just for people who were just starting to become a couple." Contessa confessed, blushing slightly in embarrassment. She really was looking forward to going on a date with him, perhaps they would finally actually talk and learn more about each other. "Hungry? Well why don't you get something to eat? An actual meal that is. I don't think snacks are going to help." she suggested and crossed her arms behind her back while standing and looking at Daylen. She thought he looked cute when he just tilted his head to the side, and out of habit she walked over and brushed the hair away from his face. "It may seem simple at that moment, but if not taken care of right away you'll fall very ill and then you won't be able to enjoy tomorrow." Contessa informed.

"Dates are just technically two people getting to know each other while spending time together. Married couples go on dates all the time." He said softly. "My parents had sundays set is their date nights, until he passed away." He finished the sentences sadly. He slightly blushed when she brushed his hair away of his face. "Ate just a while ago. I thought the snack would help but it didn't really." He told her softly. "I'll be fine by the time the gathering is here." He assured her with his soft smile. "I just don't want to continually eat." He really did eat and drink a lot today, but he felt like he was starving to death. His mouth was starting to try dry. "Are you looking forward to meeting some of my customers? I know a lot of them are very interesting in meeting you." He told her trying to change the subject, lest his stomach growls at the thought of food.

Contessa frowned, noticing the sad tone of voice he used to finish the sentence. "I know you did, I saw Daniel make a snack and leave the kitchen." Contessa answered and grinned. "I ate two bowls of soup, and Daniel gave me some mango tea. Too sweet but I liked it. I'll probably eat the rest of the soup later." she answered and hugged herself. Contessa trusted that he'd be fine, she just hoped he wasn't keeping anything from her so that he wouldn't worry her because it wasn't working. "Very much yes. Perhaps I can get along with some of them...though at the same time I'm quite nervous to meet them." Contessa admitted.

The tea was sweet, he use to drink it all the time. Other than coffee. Raymon did make good food and teas. He smiled hearing she would finish off the soup. "Thats good. You need to stay hydrated and eat, it will help you recover faster from being fatigue." He simply told her. A sharp ache shot through him, but he hide any signs of it. His fangs ached. Daylen just closed his eyes and took a deep breath before looking back at Contessa. He smiled assuring her he was fine. "You'll be fine. They are all very nice." He actually picked them. They set up a meeting, if he didn't like them, he rejected to help them. He did that with all new customers. If they didn't pass the interview then they would have to search elsewhere.

"Well I woke up very hungry so I do want to finish it. I'm surprised I've been able to keep the food down though." she replied and chuckled softly. He sure was acting strange, maybe the stomach ache was worse than they thought. Maybe it was food poisoning. "They are?" she repeated and smiled. "Well that's reassuring to know, I really do look forward to meeting them all. I just hope they don't hate me." she muttered and thought for a bit. She knew not everyone she met would like her, but she was going to do her best to make a good first impression. First impressions were the ones that counted after all, she'd just have to relax and be herself. "I'll be sure to drink a lot more. I haven't been very thirsty but you're right, I should stay hydrated." she agreed softly.

Daylen just weakly smiled. "My customers all like me, well you know how I am. They'll love you." He told her softly. "Just be yourself." He just looked at his desk and sighed softly. "Miss Contessa, they know I just turned. Rumor has been spreading in the underworld. If they ask you about any of they, you don't have to answer." He told her softly. Daylen didn't want her to feel as if she needed to answer something she wasn't comfortable with. Daylen just closed the book in front of him. He had read more than half of it. Memorizing all the important details. He rubbed his temples as if her had a headache. "Miss Contessa, I hope you don't mind but I believe I'll retire early tonight. We can talk more about the gathering and everything tomorrow, if you wish." He was hoping maybe sleep would help his some. He was also tired from all the reading.

Contessa just chuckled, "You're a good man Daylen, why wouldn't they like you?" she answered and smiled warmly at him. It was reassuring to hear that they'd love her, although tomorrow she would find out for certain if they did or didn't. "I plan to be myself, I promise." she assured and nodded at what he said next. Contessa wasn't uncomfortable talking about it, she just didn't think it would be right to talk about it if Daylen wasn't there to answer the questions himself. "I understand Daylen." Contessa replied quietly and blinked in surprise. He was going to sleep?! Really? "Oh...n-no I don't mind." Contessa started and shook her head. "You go and get some rest, you need it after reading for so long. Besides, you're not feeling well, rest can help." she added quietly and decided she'd eat the rest of the soup, drink plenty of water and knit to kill time since she wasn't tired at the moment. "I'll join you once I'm tired again." she informed quietly.

Daylen just placed the book in his desk. He knew his customers would love her. It wasn't a big deal to him, he done this from the time Sirus started to work for him. He just weakly smiled remembering he never visited his brother today, he would do that before heading to bed. He just stood up, grabbing his tray. "I have someone to visit before I retire for the night. You are welcome to come. I'm sure Sirus would like that." He told her sadly. He missed his brother. The wound was still fresh and it took everything he had not to break again. It still hurt knowing he would never see him again. Only in the mirror did he see his face, he tried to avoid the mirrors to the best of his abilities for that reason. He just talked to his brother's mausoleum when he could, he was surprisingly very talkative when he was alone with him.

Contessa knew who he was talking about and smiled sadly. She knew he missed his brother, how could he not? Sirus wasn't someone you forgot easily, she missed him a lot too. Contessa felt bad for not visiting him like she should, it seemed she was busier than she thought. She nodded in reply and hugged herself as she thought of what she would say, but it was probably best to let Daylen speak to his brother first. "Are you sure you don't want to be alone when you talk to him?" she asked quietly. Contessa was still going to go, but if Daylen wanted to be alone with his brother then she would give him that.

Daylen just looked down at the tray in his hands. "It's alright. Everything I tell Sirus, I'll tell you eventually." He wasn't meaning it the way it sounded but he did tell his brother allot of things he kept inside. He wasn't going to visit him long, just wanted to say a simple greeting and a few things he learned today. "It won't be a long visit, just saying hello and letting him know, what I learnt today." His tone was actually sad as he spoke. "I never talked to him about anything but work or things related to it when he was alive." He told her, he fought the tears forming in his eyes. He was a horrible brother to Sirus when he was alive.

Contessa frowned at his words, it sounded like there were things he didn't want her to know yet and then noticed the tears brimming in his eyes. "You shouldn't feel bad about that Daylen. You still talked to him and I'm sure Sirus enjoyed talking to you about anything. It would be worse if you never talked to him at all. You did though, and I'm sure he appreciates that." Contessa commented sweetly. It killed her to see him this way, but it was only natural to feel sad when you thought about a loved one you lost, especially when you were very close to that person.

Even though he was listening and knew her words were real. He couldn't help but think that, he was always a bad brother. He never spoke to him unless it was work related. Never laughed at his jokes or pranks. Beat him up when at times, granted it was mostly playing but still. Daylen just sighed lightly. Daylen just walked passed her, the tears blurring his vision as he walked. If only Sirus had taking the potion, he had finally found the way to stop a vision but still lost his brother. Slowly he made his way to the kitchen, ignoring the pain as he walked. Daylen just set the tray down on the counter gently before making his way to the maze and his brother's grave.

"Daylen..." Contessa started but kept her mouth shut as she watched him leave. Contessa debated on whether or not to follow after him, but she did. She made sure that there was some space between them as she followed him at a distance. She would let him have some alone time with his brother, and then she would go and visit Sirus herself. "Maybe I should just sit with Daylen to comfort him instead..." she said to herself as she walked through the maze, looking at the flowers to make sure she wouldn't get lost.

Daylen just sighed as he sat down on the steps of the mausoleum. He could see Contessa in a short distances. "Hello Sirus." He said softly before speaking in the ancient language his ancestors had. His back was resting against the cold marble wall. He wasn't talking bad about anything, he was just telling him about what he learned today. Even about Contessa possible news. Daylen could just imagine his brother jumping with joy over that part. Yet the news of the craving, he would be serious about. He knew it had to be from the craving, the aching inside, the hunger that was never stated. Everything Daniel was saying but he couldn't find himself to drink from someone. All the vampire's he knew drank only the substitute blood and the tonic, they were fine with just those. So why wasn't he? He just explained the concerns he had over this sudden change in his change with every word his face grew cold and distant once more.

Contessa walked towards Daylen, occasionally stopping to smell the flowers. She reached Daylen and sat down beside him in silence. She didn't know what he was saying but he was probably telling Sirus about everything on his mind. What would she say to Sirus? Whatever was on her mind as well. Right now all she wanted to do was comfort Daylen in any way she could. Contessa knew he liked her company even if they didn't talk, so that was something to take into consideration. Perhaps once he had gone to bed, she could work on something but remain in the room so that if anything happened she'd be the first to know. She occasionally glanced at Daylen but kept her eyes to the ground most of the time to let him speak to his brother.

Once everything was said, Daylen just looked at the ground in silence. He sighed softly. He was fighting the tears the whole time. He really missed his twin. The sharp pain was still floating around in his body. He wanted to tell Contessa that the pain might be the craving stirring up in side of him, she needed to know but he couldn't find it in him to tell her. It would be safer on her part, but knowing how kind of a person was was she would offer her's. Though he couldn't risk her giving blood at this point if she really was with child. No, he shook the thought of his head. He would fight it, through had to be a way to fight it completely; Saria and Claire did. So did all his other vampiric customers. His hands were shaking slightly from the hunger. He didn't like that.

Contessa looked at Daylen and frowned slightly, "Daylen is something the matter?" she asked and raised an eyebrow. She noticed his shaking hands and looked at him closely. "Daylen what's wrong? Is there something you're not telling me? Is...is everything okay?" she asked. Contessa was really starting to worry about Daylen, something was obviously wrong so why didn't he tell her? Was it something that he really didn't want him to know? She was his wife though, so why couldn't he just confide in her? She wasn't going to get upset with him. Maybe he thought she would and that's why he didn't tell her? "Daylen I promise I won't get upset, I'm just really worried right now, I've never seen you like this. If you tell e what's wrong maybe I can help somehow. How can I help you if you won't even tell me what's wrong?" she asked curiously. Looking at Sirus' grave she frowned and decided to drop the subject, there was a time and place for everything. This was not the place to start some fight.

Daylen just softly shook his head, he wasn't fine but he didn't want to tell her. "Nothing is wrong, Miss Contessa. I'm just tired." He told her softly. He weakly smiled trying to reassure her that was all it was. His eyes were heavy and his stomach hurt to the point he wanted to scream but never did. It took all his strength not to held onto it and to stand up straight. He never looked up from the ground. His eyes glowed a soft red. "I'll think go lie down." He told her softly. Before she could even reply Daylen transformed into the multiple bats and flew in the direction of the house. He landed on the balcony to their room and entered it. Daylen hoped she didn't see his eyes glow before he left her in the maze. Daylen just removed his vest and shoes, placing them in their correct spot before climbing into bed. He hid under the covers. Part of him wished he never took take potion, he just knew something bad was going to happen with this.

"I'll be right up..." Contessa whispered once he had left. Looking back at Sirus' grave she sighed and placed her hands on her lap. "Hello Sirus, I apologize for not visiting as much as I should have. I've been rather busy in a way I suppose. I've been doing my very best to be a good wife for Daylen." she started and frowned. "You're the only person I feel I can tell anything to, and I have quite a bit I want to talk to you about. But before I do, I'd like to ask how you are doing? Daylen and I assume you're pranking your father aren't you? And how's Alberta? I'm sure she's happy to see you." Contessa said and smiled sadly. "We miss you a lot Sirus, I can tell Daylen really misses you even though he doesn't say it. He was almost in tears earlier today, it saddens me to see him that way but I'm trying my best to cheer him up. I just don't think I'm doing a good job at it. One time he got so hurt and passed out, I panicked and didn't know what to do but Daniel the new nighttime butler took care of the situation easily. Oh I felt so useless that day, I didn't tell Daylen this because I didn't want to upset him. I don't tell him many things for that reason and I know I should but I can't. Yes he's my husband but I'm afraid that if I say anything he'll be upset with me and I cannot bear the thought of having Daylen upset with me." Contessa continued and sighed.

"I know he's hiding something from me, I don't know why but I am not going to keep asking him what is wrong. If he doesn't want to tell me then I shall respect his choice." she commented and paused for a moment, just allowing for Sirus to understand what she had been saying. "Did he tell you that I might possibly be pregnant? I'm happy, even though I don't look happy. I am. I'm just worried and scared. I can't take care of my own husband, I don't think I'll be able to take care of my own children." she said and buried her face in her hands. "I don't know what to do. I know that if you were here you would give me some great advice. Now I have to figure it all out on my own, and believe me when I say I'm trying." she said quietly before letting out a soft sigh. "I should get going and check on Daylen. It was really nice talking to you again Sirus, I promise to come visit whenever I can, and I promise to take very good care of your brother." she promised softly before getting up and heading back to the manor.

Daylen was hiding under the covers when Daniel come in, he placed a tray with a glass on the nightstand. "Drink." He simply told Daylen. He folded his arms over his chest as Daylen peeked out from under the covers. "You need to drink real blood. The craving will get worse. You risk Miss Contessa's life if you do not." Daylen just sighed. "I do not understand it. Why do I crave it, no other vampires that I know do. The substitute blood and tonics are all they need. So why do I?" Daniel just looked at Daylen, he was just staring at the glass. Slowly Daylen sat up and took the glass before drinking it. It tasted different. He knew that taste. Daniel had mixed real blood with it. His stomach settled the moment the liquid hit it, yet he was still hungry. "You forced your transformation with magic. You have traits of a vampire, you will never be a real one." Daniel simply told him. "You are doomed to drink real blood while others are not." He took the glass from Daylen, picked up the tray and left the room.

Daylen just laid down and hid back under the covers. He now understood. 'The traits and immorality of a vampire but ever will be one.' It was a shame that werewolves were mortal and that Daniel would grow old and die, he could learn allot from Daniel. He sighed deep in thought. If he wasn't a vampire, just shared the traits then what was he? What did he turned himself into? One question was answered but now more bubbled up the deeper he went into thought.

Contessa got lost a few times but managed to reach the manor eventually. When she did, she took a deep breath and let it out slowly as she made her way to the kitchen. Contessa warmed up what was left of the soup and poured it into a bowl for herself and grabbed a spoon before sitting down at the table and eating her soup happily. It was so warm, helped her to stay warm if she was ever cold which at times she was. Knowing Daylen, he probably just wanted to be alone, but a good wife always check on her husband from time to time right? Contessa was going to give him some space while she finished her soup but once she was done she was going to go check on him. Besides, she needed to feed little no name too. He wasn't very little anymore though, he was starting to get bigger so she'd need to feed him meat soon.

However Daylen flipped and turned, he just couldn't sleep. Slowly he made his way to his desk and pulled out his journal. He made his way back to his side of the bed and starting to start everything he learn today. He simply started with the noted changes in his physique then when in detail on the internal changes the book had mentioned. Daylen just mumbled to himself as he wrote quickly. It was barely audio, so no one could really hear it except Daniel. He paused when it came to writing down the feeling of the cravings. He was experiencing them first hand and if it wasn't for the new butler he would be lost on the transformation completely. He kept thinking that if Sirus took the potion then he would be going through this. That made him tear up again, he was so selfish to doom his brother to this. In a way he was glad he didn't take the potion. He didn't want Sirus to deal with this suffering.
