It was hours before he slowly stirred awake. He was still tired and he shifted in bed. He never opened his eyes. He just took a deep breath. Slowly he opened his eyes to see Contessa still asleep. Slowly and carefully he got out of bed to make sure didn't wake her. His hunger was unbelievably sharp. He gathered his things to go shower and cleanup for the day. There were still a several hours before the gathering would take place. It didn't take long to get ready for day. He cleaned his mess up and placed his cloth in the laundry basket before leaving the room. The sun was barely raising and all the curtains were closed. He made his way to the kitchen to get himself something to eat. However Daniel and Raymond were starting the food preparations for the party. Daniel just tossed Daylen a white packet. "Drink." He simply told him. It was real blood. Daylen and Raymon just looked at him. Daylen just gritted his teeth, he really didn't want to. With shaken hands, he opened the pack and started to drink the contents. His eyes turned red from the liquid within the packet, it was soothing his stomach the more he drank.

Contessa felt some movement but then it was gone so she didn't think much of it and continued to sleep soundly. After a couple more hours, she slowly opened her eyes to find that Daylen was not in bed anymore and started to panic. Hoping he was okay, she quickly slipped out of bed and remembered today was the day of the gathering. Quickly, she walked to her closet and looked through the dresses. She had to look nice, but she didn't think floral dresses would be fitting for this event. She pulled out a red dress and sighed softly, hoping it was nice enough for today. Grabbing everything else she needed, she headed into the bathroom and started a shower for herself and judging from the clean smell Daylen had already showered and probably got ready for today. That thought made her relax as she stepped under the warm water and sighed happily as she enjoyed her shower. She made sure not to take too long though since she needed to visit her parents right away before the event started. Finishing her shower, Contessa shut off the water and stepped out to dry herself then got dressed and left to fix up her hair. She sat in front of a mirror and pulled out her brush, carefully brushing her curls and even grabbed her curling iron to make sure that her curls looked nice.

Daylen couldn't help but feel disgusted with himself. He has drinking blood and actually enjoying the flavor. Daniel and Raymon just went on with their task as he drank from the packet. His stomach was settling as he drank. Though he was hoping he wouldn't have to repeat this on a daily basis. Once he finished the packet, Daniel tossed him another one. He just looked at it, his teeth was slightly pink from the blood he just drank. "Drink." Daniel just ordered him. Raymon just took the empty packet and threw it away. "I just drank one..." Daylen spoke softly but Daniel just looked at him plainly. He sighed before opening the new packet and drinking from it. He closed his eyes as he did. His stomach was feeling better, the pain was leaving with every sip he took. Daniel was trying to avoid an accident by making Daylen drink his fill before the party. Hopefully it would work.

Grabbing the paper that was for her parents, Contessa slipped on some heels and picked up no name in her arms before walking out of the room to go look for Daylen. She reached the kitchen and noticed that all three men were there, smiling in greeting she looked at Daylen and noticed that he was drinking something out of a white pouch. Contessa wasn't sure what it was but she could only assume it was blood. "G-good morning everyone. I hope you all slept well." she said politely and looked at Daylen. "D-daylen could I possibly go visit my parents? I promise I won't take long, I just want to see how they're doing and give them something. I'll be back right away I promise, I don't want to miss the gathering." she explained. She missed her parents and her little sister, she was sure that Carolyn had grown a bit since the last time she saw her.

Raymon and Daylen just nodded a greeting at Contessa. Daniel just continued with his task. Daylen just swallowed what he had in his mouth before speaking. "Miss Contessa you don't need to ask permission to see your parents. You are free to come and go as you please." He told her softly, his fangs were slightly extended as he drank from the packet. His normally white teeth were still slightly covered in the blood, he tried to hide them from her but he was sure she would notice. "You should eat something before you go however." Daniel had made her biscuit and gravy with sausages for breakfast. There was a tray on the table with a cover and juice sitting beside it. "On the table." Daniel simply stated to her as he kept on with his work. He had added something extra to help with her queasiness. Daniel was actually used to caring for all kinds of people, including pregnant women. Raymon was actually kind of jealous yet also enjoyed it. "Eh, Raymon. It's too early for you to be thinking that way." Daylen simply told Raymon who just smiled.

Contessa noticed the blood on Daylen's fangs and smiled, she was happy to know he was drinking real blood before the event. "Well I like to ask anyway." she answered and nodded, "Very well, I'll eat a little something. I hope you slept well Daylen." Contessa said and walked over to the table where her plate of food was. "Thank-you Daniel, it smells lovely." she thanked and sat down with no name on her lap. Without another word, Contessa started to eat her breakfast meal happily and quietly. She was going to have to eat it all since she wasn't going to eat whatever it was that both Raymon and Daniel were making for the guests. The food tasted wonderful, and she was surprised that Daniel was doing this for her, he was actually a very nice guy it seemed. Hearing what Daylen had said to Raymon, she couldn't help but wonder what it was he was thinking but decided it would be best not to worry about that and continued to eat her breakfast.

Daylen just turned away from his perverted butler and nodded to Contessa. "I did, thank you." He told her softly. "Did you sleep well? How are you feeling this morning?" He asked her softly before drinking more from the white packet. Raymon just went to Contessa and placed two bowls on the floor near her. He gently took the little creature from her lap and knelt down with it. He set it on the floor and tapped the bowl of warm milk and pureed meats. It sniffed the meat and went to run away. However Raymon picked it back up and scooped a little meat on the tip of his finger. He let it sniff it before making it taste it. Gently he set it down and let it sniff the meat before it started to eat at it happily. He stood and smiled sweetly at Contessa before leaving to wash his hands, then help Daniel with the cooking.

Contessa continued to eat her food quietly and took a drink of the juice before answering. "I slept well thank you." she started and smiled, "I'm feeling rather nice this morning. I'm very hungry though, and still a little tired but I think that's just because I just woke up and am just now eating. I'm not feeling nauseous though, so you don't have to worry about that." she explained and resumed eating her food, occasionally glancing down at no name who was eating his food and drinking the milk happily. He was getting bigger, she was going to miss seeing him so tiny and running around. He wasn't going to fit in his crate anymore, so he'd have to sleep on the bed or on the floor. Contessa smiled back at Raymon int thanks for feeding her pet and let him get back to work, it was going to be a busy day today.

Daylen just smiled softly hearing that she was feeling better today. He just took a step back when a small ray of sun peeked through the curtain. It stung when it touched his pale skin. Daniel went and closed the crack in the curtain. daylen just weakly nodded a thank you. "I'm glad to hear that Miss Contessa." He said softly. He felt more like bother at the moment. He just weakly looked at the floor. "I'll be in my study if anyone needs me." He quietly said before leaving the room with the white packet. Raymon just smiled sweetly. "Poor Master Daylen, he still feels like he is bothering us." He just continued cooking the food as Daniel chopped the vegetables. "Until we know what he is. He is." Daniel told Raymon plainly. Raymon just looked at the werewolf. "Tack, my dear wolf. Tack." Daniel just ignored the immortal as he continued his task.

Contessa finished up her food and her drink before carefully getting up, making sure not to step on the bowls off food for no name. Hearing what Daniel said, she couldn't help but glare. "He is not bothering any of us Daniel. If he is bothering you, then I suggest you keep that to yourself, it's quite rude of you to say that my husband is a bother. Especially when I'm in the room." she said seriously and looked down at no name who was still eating. "If you'll excuse me I need to go. I will be back right away." she said and when no name had finished eating his food and drinking the milk, Contessa carefully picked him up in her arms and grabbed what she needed before wiggling her nose and vanishing, appearing in front of her house. "Here we are no name. I had forgotten how lovely it looked." Contessa said softly and walked up to the front door, ringing the doorbell. Her mother answered it and smiled when she saw her daughter standing there. "Contessa! Please do come in dear, how have you been? How is Daylen doing?" she asked as she closed the door behind them.

Daniel just looked plainly at Contessa, completely unphrased by her words. He just continued to do his work. Apparently she was sheltered her whole life. She didn't know the danger Daylen put them all in. Yes he showed traits of a vampire, deep down to the very core but he wasn't. He didn't come to his race naturally nor did his abilities. He was a accident waiting to happen. Right now it was just the craving, later was what Daniel was worried about. Daylen was a good man, however Daniel never met a sorcerer who changed into a vampire by potion. It was impossible, or so he believe. Upon hearing about Daylen, Daniel set out to met him but he refused visitors, so the next best thing was employment. Raymon just looked at Daniel. "You really show think before speaking. What you said was rude and even if it doesn't bother him. It bothers her." He told him sweetly. "I will not sugar coat words she can not handle. Master Daylen is more dangerous than you two believe." He plainly he spoke, never looking up from his task. His guard was always up. Daylen himself wasn't a threat, it was vampiric gene that made him so.

"Mum!" Contessa cried and hugged her mother tightly before letting her go. "Oh dear I'm so happy you have stopped by for a visit, we have missed you terribly." her mother explained. "That we have." Edward agreed as he walked down the stairs with Carolyn in his arms. She had grown a bit and sprinkles was atop her head. "Dad!" Contessa called out happily and hugged him tightly when he had reached the bottom of the stairs. She looked at Carolyn and kissed her cheeks before looking at Sprinkles, "Hello Sprinkles, it's nice to see you again." she said and looked at her parents before handing her mother the paper. "What's this?" Grace asked as they all took a seat on the couch. "It's a bank account. Daylen has set it up for you with that much money for you to use on whatever you wish." Contessa explained softly. "That's....that's a lot of money dear!" her mother gasped. Edward raised an eyebrow and took the paper to read it himself. "Why?" he asked. "Daylen's father raised both him and Sirus to take care of their wife's family is she didn't have an older brother. I believe that's what he said." Contessa explained softly and sighed softly, wondering if she should tell them that there was a possibility she was expecting.

(Time skip.)

Daylen had his hair pulled back into a low ponytail. He adjusted the lens on his microscope, he was busy all day trying replicate the healing gene. He cut a small piece of it with a scalpel, waiting to see the results. However instead of healing the damage up, it just died. Daylen covered a yawn, it wasn't from being tired. It was just a long day. Sitting up he began to write the results down in great detail. He set his quill before removing his safety glasses. He held one side of them with he rubbed the bridge of his nose. He set down his safety glasses before he continued to write down the results of the experiments. He went over the other side of the room to recreate the replicates with a slight difference. He wasn't seeming to get closer but hopefully it would be successfully soon. He was checking the ingredients as he went. Writing down how much and what he used as he went on with his work.

Contessa's parents were surprised by the news but they were very happy for her. "Now we shouldn't get too hopeful, Daylen said he wanted to run some tests in two weeks just to be sure that I am." Contessa explained. "I know dear but just imagine it, having a child of your own. It's a lovely feeling." her mother chimed happily. Contessa laughed and nodded, "I know, I just hope I can be a good enough mother like you mum." Contessa explained as she stood up with no name in her arms. "You are going to make a wonderful mother Contessa, don't doubt yourself." Edward replied honestly. "I'll try not to dad. I have to go now though, can't leave Daylen by himself too long." she said and hugged her parents. "Thank him for us okay?" Edward asked. "I will dad. Now then, I should get going, I'll be sure to visit again real soon." Contessa said before wiggling her nose and appearing back in the kitchen with no name in her arms.

Raymon and Daniel were gone, they were setting everything up for the gathering of Daylen's customers. Tables and chairs fill the ballroom, it was only a few hours away. Daylen was just took the newly created replica to the microscope on a clean glass slide. He placed on his glasses and slide the slide in. He wrote down the number of the experiment before picking up the freshly cleaned scalpel. Leaning forward, Daylen peered into the lens. He cut the replica carefully, watching closely for any signs of healing or death. He had been at this all day. Daylen cursed slightly when it bubbled before dying, another failure. He removed his glasses and lightly tossed them onto the desk before rubbing his face in frustration. He wrote the details of this experiment before looking at his clock above the door. He could sneak in one more before he had to get ready. With that, he set off to clean his tools and remake another replica.

Looking at the clock, Contessa noticed that she still had a few hours to kill before the people started showing up so she decided to go spend some time in her garden, However, she could not sit down since she didn't want to get dirty so she stood there and smiled as she noticed the progress the plants were making. "Look at you all! You're all getting so big already. I remember when I had first planted you all, I was very excited to see how you would all turn out and look at you now. So big and beautiful. Oh I'm sure once you all are fully grown and blooming, you'll look amazing!" Contessa chimed happily as she hugged herself. "You're getting big too no name, I can't wait to see what you look like once you're all grown up. I'm sure you'd like to have a friend of your own, maybe someday we can get you a friend. For now the only friend you have is me." Contessa explained to no name who's yellow eyes stared at her. "Would you like to run around a bit before the gathering?" she asked and carefully set her pet down, letting it run around while she chased it and was careful not to step on the plants.

Daylen just covered another yawn, this was exhaustion work. The pain in his abdomen was returning. He had drank substitute blood from time to time and a tonic but once again they didn't work. When the timer went off, Daylen took the replica to the microscope. He killed more time waiting for the small things then anything. He repeated the experiment he been doing all day. It was another failure. He sighed again. He scratched his head lightly. This would be another problem, he honestly wasn't seeing an improvement at all. After writing down the last details of the experiment he gathered all the papers. He left the study filling through the paper, he had forgotten to take his glasses off as he walked down the hall to the bedroom. He was mumbling to himself as he read the results all all the failed experiments. He had all the listed recipes with the results of the test. There was a small pattern, maybe if he tried more of the fifth ingredient. He could make a successful test. He stopped seeing movement in the solarium. He didn't know how long Contessa had been back but she looked happy playing with her pet. He smiled softly watched her. It was cute seeing her have fun.

Contessa laughed as she chased no name who was a lot faster than she was. "Oh dear..." she said and stopped to catch her breath. "You're very fast no name, but I'll catch you eventually!" she called and laughed before chasing after him again. This was good practice for her if she was expecting a child, to run after it once it was old enough to run away from her. Contessa continued chasing back and forth through the garden until little no name got tired and lay down instead. "Aww, tired?" Contessa asked and carefully picked him up in her arms, kissing his forehead and laughing. "You're a joy to play with no name, now let's get you all cleaned up alright? You have to look nice for our guests, and behave." Contessa explained and turned to leave but noticed someone staring at her out of the corner of her eye. Looking to see who it was, she smiled when she saw that it was Daylen and noticed he still had his glasses on. He had probably been so busy working in the study that he never noticed. She had to admit that he looked cute with his glasses on, she also noticed his hair was up in a pony tail, it was a nice look for him. Quietly, she walked back into the manor and walked into their room. "Hello Daylen, I take it you're done working for today?" she asked curiously since he was no longer in the study, though he was probably going to continue after the event ended.

Daylen just set the papers down on his desk as she spoke. "For now at least, did you have fun visiting your parents?" He asked her curiously. He wasn't going to clean up much, probably just wash his face. He just took out a fresh piece of paper and his quill. He had pens but he was use to quills. It was something their father always preferred and he adopted that love for quills. He was just writing down notes on what he should try next. Periodically Daylen would flipped through the recipes and notes, mumbling to himself. He wasn't sure if the healing trait was something that could be correctly replicated. "Hn, I think I know what I did wrong." He spoke to himself. He just tapped a recipe in front of him. He looked at the clock. He didn't have time to run another test. He just cursed lightly before he wrote down his thoughts onto the paper.

Daylen didn't really want to do this gathering, it was always Sirus that insisted on mingling with his customers. It was a good idea to get to know them better but he was sure all he would get were their condolences about Sirus. He just sighed softly before placing up his research notes. He set his glasses down on the desk before covering a slight yawn. The pain was coming back from time to time yet something felt different about it. He wasn't sure what though.

Contessa smiled and nodded, "Well at least you're taking a break of sorts. Yes, it was nice to see them again. They send their thanks for what you did." she replied softly. "Carolyn seems to be getting bigger. I think she'll be taking my room once she's big enough. Or perhaps my room will become a guest room and Carolyn's room will just be remodeled." Contessa commented quietly as she watched Daylen start writing down some things again. It was kinda funny to see him work all the time, maybe he honestly never got tired of working, just like Saria. Contessa decided to let him work and left to the bathroom just to give no name a quick bath.

"We have to make sure you look presentable no name." she said and smiled. Once his bath was done, she carefully dried him off with a towel and then wrapped him up in the towel like a child to keep it warm. Walking out of there, Contessa walked to the closet and opened it up then opened up her suitcase and pulled out the small box with the set of rings that Daylen had given her. She supposed not was a good day to start wearing them and so she opened up the box and took out the rings before closing the box and putting it back in her suitcase. They were very beautiful rings, rings she didn't feel she deserved but she loved them anyway and happily put them on. Closing her suitcase, Contessa closed the closet door and checked the time as she held her pet in her arms.

After Contessa went in the bathroom. Daylen just left to see how the preparations were coming. Raymon and Daniel had fixed everything up. "All set." Say Raymon as he looked at Daylen. Some of the guest were already arriving, the ones that always showed earlier like the three witch sisters. Daylen just nodded a greeting to the women. They all looked alike, only difference were their eyes. Their hair was white, stringy and long. Their skin had a grayish hue to it and their outfits was black, somewhat revealing. Their makeup was black and had slightly ran but they still were highly attractive. They all chirped happily seeing Daylen. They all gave their condolences but quickly changed the subject to him now being a vampire. They were in awe that he was able to cast such spells and gave it all up. They acted more like succubuses then witches. Daylen just pushed one off but she pouted. "That's right you're married now, where is your lucky bride?" The eldest asked, even if he wasn't married he still didn't like them touching him. "Leave di Pavia alone... I'm sure his bride is lovelier than you harlots." A eerie voiced whispered out. It was creature wrapped in a tattered black cloak. It's skin with gray and transparent revealing nothing decaying organs and bones. Its eyes were pure black, no white, drawing you closer to its skeletal face with the same transparent skin. A black mist came from the creature as it came closer to Daylen and the witches. "Grim, nice to see you again." Daylen plainly said the to reaper. He wasn't a customer of his, just a family friend.

Contessa had to mentally prepare herself to see his costumers. She was very nervous because she didn't want to offend them by looking scared, just like Daniel had said. "You'll be fine. Just be yourself and don't be surprised to see the creatures. Don't worry, don't panic, and don't stress." she told herself as she left the room. She could hear people talking but before she went to see who it was, Contessa left to the laundry room where she tossed the towel in the basket and sighed, she'd have to do laundry first thing in the morning. Steeling herself, Contessa walked out of the laundry room and towards the sound of people's voices. She was terrified but she didn't let it show. The entire time she was telling herself in her head to remain calm and to be herself. You'll be fine, just relax. she thought to herself. When she stepped into the room where all the guests were gathering, she managed to smile and held no name close in her arms.

As more and more creatures of just as creepy looks appeared, all stopping to talk to Daylen. A man with painted up skin came into the room. He wore a mask that covered from his upper lip up, his eyes were similars to Grim's. His mask was a skull, four black circles cover the forehead, two on each side resting above his eyes. He would appear to be a normal male if he didn't have six arms and his ancient warrior like clothing. The lighting in the room was dimmer than normal, some creatures were light sensitive. A hissing came from the ceiling of the room. The torso of a woman rested on the body of a large spider. Her hair was long, black in color, her pale porcelain doll white. Her eyes were a deep red, like most, she had no white or pupils. The abdomen of the spider part on her had a large skull resting over a pile of tiny faces screaming in agony. The woman's black lips curled into a smile as she landed softly on the floor, her spiderlegs made her just as tall as Contessa. She was wearing a black corset, there was no need for other clothing seeing how she was mostly spider. She had out her hand for Contessa, he nails were black and point; more like claws. "You must be the famous Contessa, I am Kalikah." Her voice was enchanting as to lure in prey. She just smiled, flashing her fangs as she did.

These were all Daylen's customers?! No wonder he was always so busy all the time. They were pretty scary but she was quickly getting accustomed to it. She just hoped this gathering would go through smoothly for Daylen's sake. When she saw the grim reaper she actually chuckled softly, he looked just like he was depicted in the story books which is why she wasn't afraid of him. Hearing a voice beside her, Contessa turned to see a woman that was part spider and felt chills run up her spine. She was scary looking but actually very pretty too. "Oh, hello there." Contessa said and shook the woman's hand, "It's very nice to meet you Kalikah." she said and shook her head. "I wouldn't say I'm exactly famous, I'm just a regular fairy." Contessa explained. Did everyone think of her as famous? Was she considered famous for having married Daylen? Daylen was really the famous one since he was the one who did so much throughout his life. What did she ever do?

The lady just kept on her smile. "Yes dear, quite famous in the underworld. The most powerful sorcerer's bride." She was interrupted by a woman. "Who now is a vampire. He is legendary for making that potion, too bad. He could have been greater than his ancestor." The woman that spoke skin was a shimmering teal, as if she was wet. She had no nose but small nostrils where they should be. Her fish like eyes were white in color. She was hairless, yet a small fin tailed the center of her head down to the base of her neck. She had a few tentacles that filled the back of her head as if it was hair. They draped her shoulders to her waist. Her ears were pointed but web like most of her kind. Her outfit was a soft loose fitting fabric that covered her perfectly. "Amell." She introduced herself to Contessa. Her silver jewelry sparked softly in the dimmed candles. She turned to Saria and Claire. "Saria and Claire told us what they could about you." She looked over at Daylen being swarmed by the other customers. "You'll get use to this. Everyone just loves him, all but Claire normal avoid being too close to a di Pavia in parties. You'll get tramped." She told the faerie jokingly. Though it was true.
