Logan smirked.

"He shoulda known that was coming," he said, leaning against the wall.

"Clearly he hasn't been around you long enough." Sabine grinned, moving into the kitchen. Because she did actually get paid to cook once in a while. "Speaking of, you're getting volunteered to help me."

Logan raised an eyebrow.

"You don't want me in the kitchen," he told her. "I'm no good at cooking."

"I know that, I've known you for how long now?" Sabine raised an eyebrow at him. "I'm cooking, you're slicing. You're good at that."

Logan snorted.

"Fine," he said. "But don't expect any more'n that outta me."

"I know better." Sabine patted his shoulder as she passed. She was really kind of having fun with him.

"Good," Logan said with a bit of a smirk. He followed her into the kitchen. "What're you plannin' to cook?"

"Grilled cheese, everybody likes grilled cheese, with an optional salad." Sabine eyed him for a minute. "And possible a steak, because some people seem to think they're carnivores."

Logan just shrugged.

"Ain't ever claimed not to be," he pointed out. He smirked. "If people weren't meant to eat animals, they wouldn't be made of meat, now would they?"

Sabine snorted. "Uh huh." She shook her head and got everything out, starting to work. If Clint wasn't back with Natasha and Cam by the time she was done, she'd go fetch them.

Logan let her do her thing, slicing things when she told him to.

By the time the cooking was done, Cameron was dragging herself into the kitchen, hair damp from her post-workout shower. She sat down at the table with a soft groan.

"Doing alright there?" Sabine asked, looking at her. "Natasha didn't kill you?" She stirred the soup as she looked Cam over.

"Ask me again in twelve hours when I can feel my bones again," Cameron mumbled into the tabletop as she put her head down.

Sabine snickered. "You'll be okay," she said, patting Cam's head. "I've got your favorite tea here, if you want me to make some."

Cameron just mumbled incoherently, and the kettle on the stove rattled a little. Logan snorted. Yup, he was familiar with that, at least.

Sabine rolled her eyes and went to go fill the kettle and then put it on to heat. At least she was used to this by now.

Cameron just kept her head on the table, though she did turn her face so she could see everyone else.

"I don't know how anyone keeps up with her," she said.

"Years of practice," Sabine said with a nod. "And vodka. Lots and lots of vodka, apparently. To hear Clint moan about it, anyway."

"It's ridiculous," Cameron said. She grimaced a bit as she sat up. "People should not be able to bend that way."

Sabine laughed. "Natasha frequently defies physics, I'm pretty sure it's her real super power."

"It's bizarre," Cameron said. She stretched her arms a bit, flexing her fingers. "Anyways, change of subject, food smells good."

"Good, it's just about done. I'll let you grab some before the rest of the hoard." Sabine grinned and pulled out plates and things, glancing over at Logan.

"Want to go round up the kids for me?"

Logan raised an eyebrow.

"Do I look like a nanny?" he asked. Regardless, he stopped leaning on the counter and headed into the next room.

Cameron couldn't help but snicker.

"That makes the answer 'yes'," Sabine muttered with a grin. She did make sure Cam got her food first, and she set a serving aside for Tony before she let the kids gather up their lunch.

Cameron snorted and floated her food over to herself without getting up from the table.

The kids all started to filter into the kitchen, all heading towards the food. Logan was the last one in, following Clint into the kitchen after the kids.

"Happy now?" he said to Sabine.
