Logan raised an eyebrow at that.

"Lumberjack?" he asked. "Got a type?"

"Does it count as a type if it's only one person?" Sabine asked, partially because she was genuinely curious, and partially just to see his reaction.

"If you can convince me it does," Logan replied with a smirk.

Sabine snickered. "You were asking to be called a lumberjack, with all the wood you've been chopping the last few days," she teased.

"Good to know you have a thing for that," Logan replied. He paused for a moment, and then took a chance and kissed her.

Sabine made a pleased little noise and returned the kiss, giving as good as she got.

Logan growled a little into the kiss and turned around, carrying her inside the little cabin and closing the door with his foot.

Sabine and Logan ended up staying out in the woods for about a week further after that. Sabine was much more relaxed, and her control was improved when Logan finally suggested they head back to the mansion.

It was evident that Sabine was more relaxed when they got back, to the point that Charles decided to let her settle back in on her own for a few days.

Cameron, on the other hand, was freaking out. She was in her room when Sabine got back, though she would argue that she wasn't hiding, per se.

It didn't take long for Sabine to hear that Cameron was back, and as soon as she knew that she went to go find her.

"Cam?" she called quietly through the door, knocking gently.

Cameron jumped a bit at the knock, but got up and opened the door.

"Bee?" she said. "Hey, Bee, I didn't know you were back."

"Just got back a couple hours ago," Sabine said, looking her over quickly. "You okay?"

"Um--" Cameron blinked, fidgeting a bit. "Maybe?" She bit her lip, trying to keep her racing thoughts quiet.

"Maybe?" Sabine's eyebrows shot up. "This sounds like a conversation best had with tea. Want me to bring up a tray?"

"If you want," Cam said. "I... don't really feel like tea right now." Just the thought of tea made her feel a little queasy.

"Okay," Sabine agreed easily. "No tea, then." She frowned a little. "What's up?"

Cameron hesitated.

"I don't know if I told you," she said finally. "Just before...everything, I might have...slept with Tony." She glanced at Sabine, trying to gauge her reaction.

Sabine blinked a few times rapidly. "You did?" she asked, startled. "Huh. I knew he was making moon eyes at you."

"I blame the champagne at the gala," Cameron said. "But yeah... and then I sort of...freaked out, the next morning, but by then you were missing and I sort of used that to get away from Tony for a while, and I've kind of been hiding since then."

"Kind of hiding?" Sabine raised her eyebrows. "Or definitely hiding and still haven't spoken to him?"

"Maybe that one," Cameron admitted. "It's just... after how my last boyfriend treated me when we finally had sex, I didn't think I'd want to again, and then I did. And now..." She trailed off, biting her lip a bit.

"And now?" Sabine prompted quietly, watching her. This was probably the real root of the problem here.

Cameron hesitated, wringing her hands a bit. She hadn't said it aloud yet, as if somehow doing so would really make it real. She looked at Sabine.

"I'm pregnant," she whispered.

That threw Sabine for a loop. She blinked again, rapidly processing that and storing it away for now.

"Okay," she said slowly. "Have you thought about what you want to do yet?"

Cameron shook her head.

"Not really," she said. "I have no idea what to do. All I know is that Tony's not going to want it, and--" She hesitated again. "And I do. I want it."
