"Mmm." Sabine shifted enough to look at him. "Not that I needed help." She was going to be stubborn about that.

"You keep sayin' that," Logan replied. "Doesn't make it true."

Sabine huffed at that. "I keep saying it because you keep not believing me," she shot back. "There's nothing wrong with me. I'm fine."

"You're not fine," Logan replied. "Nobody'd be fine after what happened."

Sabine grumbled indistinctly at that and tried to burrow farther into the bed. At least she was healed now.

Logan eased off the massage and settled in next to her, pulling her close.

"C'mere, you," he murmured. "Just settle in for now. We'll stay here as long as you need."

Sabine made a vaguely protesting noise but curled into him willingly enough.

Logan just held her, letting her relax. Anything more than just cuddling could wait until she actually was doing better.

It took a little while but eventually Sabine shifted so she could hide her face in his chest, sniffling.

Logan just rumbled softly.

“It’s okay,” he said. “Let it out. I got you.”

Sabine's breath hitched at that and she tried to hide against him, finally breaking from the stress of the day.

“It’s okay, I got you,” Logan murmured, rubbing her back gently. “Whatever you need.”

Sabine finally cried herself out a while later, slumped against him. She sniffled a couple more times but was otherwise quiet.

"Sorry," she muttered.

“Nothin’ t’ be sorry for,” Logan murmured, still holding her. “It’s what I’m here for.”

"Pretty sure you didn't sign up for everything that's been happening the last few months," Sabine protested, wiping her eyes.

“Not sure you noticed, but nobody’s forcin’ me to be here,” Logan pointed out. “I’m here cause I want to be.”

Sabine huffed at him. "Doesn't mean you signed up for all this," she muttered. "Especially not all this other stuff that's coming up." She grimaced. She hadn't actually meant to say that list bit, but oh well. She knew she'd have to tell him what happened eventually.

“Sabine, I’m not goin’ anywhere,” Logan said. “No matter what comes up. So just stop tryin’ t’ convince me that yer not worth it, because you are.”

Sabine made an indistinct rumbling noise at him that she had definitely picked up from him. "You are entirely too stubborn."

“Yer one t’ talk about bein’ stubborn,” Logan retorted, pulling her a bit closer and shifting a bit to get more comfortable.

"I've always been stubborn, it's what makes me good at my job," Sabine pointed out reasonably. "At least half of my job is just being stubborn."

Logan snorted.

“Handy for managin’ Stark,” he commented. “More now with another Stark on the way.”

"No kidding," Sabine muttered. "That is going to be fun and yet exhausting." She smiled a bit. "But Cam's happy."

“Stark better be makin’ her happy, or he’ll have to answer to me,” Logan muttered.

"Oh now that he knows I don't think we'll have to worry about that," Sabine agreed, though she smiled. "You are occasionally ridiculously overprotective."
