Well. So much for sitting outside and enjoying the sun shining. Wasps. Oh heck nope.

Yep. I was sitting outside in a nice patch of sunshine when one landed on my arm. I ran for the door after that. I'm still in the house.

Oh man, I really hate wasps. I got stung by one yesterday in the freakin car of all places.
I'm allergic to the stupid things so I had to choke down meds as soon as I got home.
Today I'm all miserable because my chest is sore from the whole not being able to breathe right.

My dad has always been responsible for the gardening in my family, and as he has gotten older, it's gotten hard for him to keep up. So this year, we had two really big thorny thistle bushes right in the flower patch in front of the porch. It was hard to get at them because the were in the middle of flowers we did want to grow. It wouldn't have been such a bid issue except the purple "flowers" attracted bees and wasps. At any given daylight time, there were four or five buzzing around, right in front of the porch, which is where I go to smoke. A couple of times, one landed on me. I remembered what Mom taught me as a kid, and sat still, so as not to startle them, and the flew off after a few seconds that felt like a few minutes.

Bees are good. We need bees. Wasps, not so much.

HIM still finds Lordi's song Let's Go Slaughter He-Man (I Wanna Be The Bestman In The Master's Of The Universe) hillarious.

That's one of the reason's we didn't get rid of the thistles, we figured that they were good for the bees if they were attracting so many. It's still unnerving when one lands on you, though.

Good Evening.
What's everyone up to?

I'm chatting with a friend on facebook, and considering putting together an RP request thread.

My roommate and I don't have TV. I use mainly Netflix but I also have Hulu.

Aya loves her food network and crime shows

I'm way more a TV show person than a movie person. I like that they are usually like 45 minutes and you can make the decision to binge watch or stop and watch more episodes later. I don't always have the patience to sit through movies, especially if I'm watching by myself. I'm more likely to watch movies with other people and TV shows on my own.

There's just no tv shows that interest me.
Or the ones that are I've already seen and have
no interest in watching them again.
