They look so cute I'd feel bad eating them.

They look very different from the hotdog octopi we made at camp when I was a kid. You cut each end of the hotdog into quarters until about a third of the way down, then roasted them on a stick over a fire untill the cut parts curled.

That sounds like fun. :D super fun!

I did, but this was more of a test, just to see if I could do it. I think I might try it again with vienna sausages, if I can't get actual Japanese sausages.

To be honest, I preferred s'mores to hot dog octopi as fireside food. Much tastier. I've never been a big fan of hot dogs.
