Mumsy says they don't sell the good traps they used back in the day anymore. The traps and repellents that are said to really work are always like, "Use it outside," or, "DON'T be in the same room as this!"

I was at Wendy's the other day and noticed a zapper light on the wall.
Sticky fly paper traps work pretty well! ...ya just unroll them and hang them from the ceiling...but they look pretty terrible after a few flies are stuck to them.

The grocery nearby has a big ol' zapper near where you get a shopping cart, and you can hear that thing shocking like crazy all summer.

I thought flies only lived a short while?

When there are a lot of them, lifespan doesn't matter. They live long enough to be seen and have me curled up on the floor in tears! In fact, that is evolutionarily why they've gotten away with having a short lifespan.

Depends on the type of fly.

According to Google, flies help break down garbage and rotting debris.
