I haven't been around long enough to really get a feel for the community, but so far it seems to be much more welcoming than not (and a lot friendlier than other boards I frequented in the past)

We always try to be friendly. I mean, you're always going to run into that person anywhere, but thankfully we have gotten rid of the really bad ones.

Nowhere is safe from that person. All we can do is surround ourselves with better people and shoo away the rest. Glad to see the community here seems to be proactive on that front.

What I'm most proud of really, is that we don't have trolls or spammers.

Really? That's good to hear. I posted something on this thread, then jumped to a different tab to reply to another thread, typed it up really quickly (it wasn't a long response) and got an error message about spamming the forum, despite each post being completely unique and in different forums entirely. I just type too fast for some forums. 10-second responses are frowned upon and I completely lost track of time!

Oh yeah, that is mostly to prevent double posting. Sometimes users with slower internet connections end up posting twice.
I hit that thing all the time just posting too fast. Usually it doesn't feel like too long and attempting to submit again shows me how much time is left I believe. (I usually click send every 5-10 seconds if there's nothing I want to add to it)

Yeah, that makes sense. Good to have those precautions in place. I don't see a "delete post" button in case someone does double post by accident. But yeah, I just got ahead of myself on that post.

If you need a post deleted (they wont delete threads because it breaks things) you can report your post and write that you'd like the post deleted. Though if you just want a post removed that isn't a double post, editing it to be just a dash or period works just as well. (granted that still removes the gold earned)

It's a good policy to have in all things, honestly. Then if you say something that offends someone else, you have good cause to defend yourself instead of backpedaling and being all "No, what I meant was..."
