Lori blinked then blushed as well laughing when she saw the heap. "Honestly." She helped Gemini up. "Roy come help get Al up."

Nodding mutely, Roy went to help pull Al up off the floor. "Why didn't you turn to the side?" He asked.

Gemini thanked Lori. "He did turn, but maybe not enough this time." She said.

Lori examined Al "no dents." She looked at the other two. "Are you two alright?"

Al sighed softly looking to his brother who had gotten the worst of it. "I'm fine." Ed grumbled rubbing his head. "You two seemed just fine." He smirked.

Gemini nodded. "I'm okay." She said. Then she turned to smile at Lori, at exactly the same time as Ed made his comment. She had questions for the woman later.

"You mind your own business." Roy said, having finally regained his composure. "Now, if everyone is alright, I believe Lori made dinner for everyone."

"Let's eat." Lori lead the way she didn't mind Al not eating since he couldn't so she chatted with him avoiding the subject of her and Roy kissing.

Gemini followed to the table and thanked Lori for the food before digging in.

Roy held Lori's chair out for her, then went to sit down himself.

Lori glanced at Roy as an awkward silence filled the room. "Alright I'll say it." Ed finally broke the silence. "Are you two going to date know?"

"That's none of your business." Roy said, unable to think of another answer.

Gemini, who had just taken a bit of food, started choking in surprise.

"Well why else would you have been kissing?" Ed looked to Lori. "How can you stomach it? Kissing or touching him?"

Lori blushed darkly and babbled a little then took a breath. "because I love him."

Roy stared at Lori for a second. She loved him? "Lori...is that true?" He asked.

There was a startling silence from Gemini, who was still choking and starting to turn blue.

Al smacked Gemini hard frowning softly at the color she had been changing.

"Yes it's true." Lori blushed more.

A piece of food flew out of Gemini's throat and she started breathing again. Her color slowly changed back to normal. "Th-thanks..." She said, still gasping for breath.

Roy didn't know what to do. Acting on instinct, he got up, grabbed Lori's arm and pulled her into another room. "I don't...I can't..." He didn't know the words he needed, so he gave up trying and kissed her, hoping she would get the message from that.

Lori blushed and kissed him back slowly pushing him away. "You don't have to love me back or date me. I know you have better things to think about then a relationship but when we get to your goal I'll still be waiting for you."

Ed blinked as Roy pulled Lori away. "Adults are weird." Al nodded "I agree."

"No, that's not..." Roy sighed, trying to get his thoughts together. "I do love you, Lori. And I want to be with you. But with what's been happening lately, it would be too risky...unless we kept it a secret for a while."

Gemini nodded, too. "I think they love each other. But...does being in love make everyone act like that?" She asked.

"I'm not sure." Al frowned then looked at Ed. "Well maybe." he smirked a little.

"Well...I can keep a secret." Lori smiled at him. "it's up to you really."

Gemini raised an eyebrow and made a decision to ask Al what he meant later.

Roy smirked. "I can keep a secret, too." He said. "If you're okay with that...then I think it's worth it."

"It's settled then." Lori inched closer. "This while be are little secret...though the children will know for sure." She chuckled.

"That's true. But I think it makes them uncomfortable enough that they won't say anything." Roy said with a chuckle.

"True. Let's go back before they get curious." Lori lead the way a happy smile on her face.

Al looked up as the adults walked in.

Gemini looked up as the adults came in, watching their faces carefully. She smiled when she saw that both of them looked happy. "Did you two have a good talk?"

"Yes we did." Lori gathered the dishes smiling as Al stopped her.

"Let us clean up you worked hard to cook for us." Al smiled at her.

Gemini nodded, jumping up. "Yeah, we can handle this much. You get to relax for once." She said, eager to help.

"I can help, too, if you'd like." Roy offered. He blinked at the tiny redhead glaring at him. "...Or...not?"

"We've got this."

Lori smirked a little and held Roy's hand under the table watching as Al forced Ed to help Gemini wash while he dried. "they sure are adorable."

"Adorable isn't the word I'd use." Roy said. "Frightening, maybe."

"I think it's adorable." Lori kissed his cheek gentle then yawned softly. "Guess I'm tired." she smirked.

Al finished the dishes. "Ed and I will go so you can sleep." he looked to Gemini. "We'll see you soon Gemini." he wiggled out threw the doorway then waited for his brother. They waved once from the street before heading off.
