Roy stood. "I should be heading home, myself. Goodnight, ladies." He said, waving as he left.

Gemini waved out the window to the boys, then went back to Lori. "You should wear that dress tomorrow." She said brightly. "I bet he'll like it."

Lori blushed "go to sleep you." She huffed and vanished into her room grumbling. The next morning she made breakfast and changed into the dress cursing as she fought with the zipper.

Gemini giggled and ran off to bed. The next morning she woke to the sound of swearing and went to see what the problem was. "Do you need help miss Lori?" She asked, standing at Lori's door and holding the kitten in her arms.

Lori jumped then sighed. "Would you?" She turned and pulled a chair to her. "I can't get the zipper." She pouted.

Gemini smiled sleepily and put the kitten down, then went over and climbed on the chair. "Miss Lori...is it sad that I'm twelve years old and barely tall enough to reach your waist?" She asked as she helped pull the zipper up.

"Not really...I'm fairly tall." Lori smiled and moved the zipper up the last few inches. "Thanks Gemini. Breakfast is on the table."

"You're welcome...and thank you." Gemini said, hopping down from the chair. She headed out to get started on breakfast.

Lori blushed at her image and the joined Gemini. After breakfast she let Gemini lead the way to the office taking a breath she entered. "Good morning." She smiled at the group.

Being as small as she was, Gemini had the pleasure of going unnoticed while she watched everyone try not to stare at Lori. She smiled when she saw Roy's expression, especially.

It was barely an hour since he'd come in to work and already Roy was irritated. He had been going to grab a cup of coffee when Lori walked in, and he stopped in his tracks.

Lori shifted under there stares. "Is there something on my face?" She frowned at them sitting at her desk.

Everyone quickly looked away, except Roy, who walked up to Lori. "You, ah...you look great." He said. "New dress?"

Gemini smiled brightly. "I think they're all just stunned by how pretty you can be." She said.

Lori blushed and frowned at the girl. "Yes it's a new dress. It's a present from Gemini "

"Well, it looks good." Roy said, feeling awkward for some reason. "Oh, don't glare at her like that- she's probably right. I mean, you're always pretty, but they're not used to you showing it off."

Gemini nodded. "Yes, that's exactly what I meant!" She said.

Lori turned darker pink and vanished under her pile of paperwork smiling happily.

Roy looked down at the girl. "There's more paperwork for you to help with today." He said, smirking a little at how Gemini seemed to deflate.

Lori smirked and moved a pile over to Gemini's side of the desk. Lori looked up then stood quickly "President Bradley." she saluted the president who eyes Gemini then look to Roy with a smile. "Keeping young children as part of your group now Colonel?" Bradley smiled teasing the Gemini.

Roy saluted quickly. "We're just giving her something to do until another mission opens up, sir." He said.

Gemini followed suit and saluted, biting her lip to keep from arguing that she wasn't a child.

"Well how about that. I have a job something easy." Bradley smiled and handed over a file a town north of here is making complaints that there water ran dry which it shouldn't since a Alchemist created the river system. I want you to find out why."

Gemini smiled brightly, excited to finally have a real mission. She took the file and bowed deeply. "I'll get to the bottom of it, I promise! Thank you, sir!"

"Your welcome. As for you Mustang I was sorry to hear about your friend." Bradley squeezed his hand. "Such a same but we have a suspect in mind Maria." "The girl that was watching over Al and Ed?" Lori frowned. "The same." Bradley shrugged. "Just wanted you to know." He headed out.

Roy's face hardened and he nodded, waiting for the man to leave. "Lori, I'll be back in a little while." He said coldly before walking out of the room.

Gemini blinked. "He's...not going to do something stupid...is he?" She asked.

"Most likely." Lori hurried after Roy grabbing her gun on the way hoping Roy at least asked the girl if she had done it Maria didn't seem the type.

Not knowing what else to do, Gemini decided to follow Lori.

Lori stopped to catch her breath she realized they hadn't caught Maria yet when she found the only cell empty. She would never find either of them in time.
