"I escorted Ed and Al's friend to the test and then I stopped to talk to them. I'm sorry sir it will not happen again." Lori shifted embarrassed that she was late.

Mustang waved off her apology. "It's not a problem, I was just curious. So, this friend of the boys is taking the test?" He asked, wondering who this girl was and where they'd picked her up.

"Yep...I'm not sure who she will do but we may have another young Alchemist on our hands." Lori sat at her desk with a shrug. "How are you Hughes?" "I'm great." Hughes grinned.

Just then, there was a soft, shy knocking at the door. "Who could that be?"

Lori answered it a soft smile on her face. "Colonel Mustangs office." She greeted.

It was Gemini, holding her completed written exam. "Um...I finished...and I didn't know what to do so I brought it here." She said.

"The instructor should have taken it." Lori sighed. "Lazy no good." she trailed off then smirked at the girl. "I'll have Roy bring it to the main office."

Gemini smiled. "Thank you." She said, glancing over at Mustang shyly. She bowed. "Nice to meet you. I'm Gemini." She said.

"Is this the friend of the boys everyone keeps talking about?" Mustang asked, coming over to take the paper.

"That would be here. Be nice or you will not get a break." Lori threatened sticking close to the girl just in case Roy got any crazy ideas.

Mustang raised his hands. "Relax, I'm not going to do anything. Even I have limits, you know." He said defensively. He looked at the girl. The first thing that was obviously notable about her was her red hair. The second was that she was even shorter than Ed. "It's nice to meet you, Gemini. Do you have a last name?"

Gemini nodded. "Yes, I have my parent's name. Starr." She said proudly.

"Starr, huh? Interesting."

"Armstrong has mentioned that name a few times." Lori frowned ignoring Hughes grimace.

"That's right! He was a friend of my parents back when I was little. He even sent me the book I learned from. I'd like to see him again." Gemini said brightly.

"Yes, I was somewhat acquainted with the Starr family as well. But that was a long time ago. I didn't know they had a daughter." Mustang said.

"You aren't scared by." Lori didn't get a chance to finish as the man in question appeared out of nowhere and hugged Gemini.

"I heard it from the brothers you were here. I'm so glad you are alright!" Armstrong grinned then glared at Mustang.

"Eep!" Gemini hadn't had time to brace herself. "Of course I'm alright, I'm my parent's child aren't I?" She said, trying to regain her breath. "It's so nice to see you again!"

Mustang raised his hands again in defense. It seemed like he was doing that a lot lately.

"He has not harmed you?" Armstrong pouted then grinned. "Just say so and these." he ripped his shirt as he flexed his muscles. "will beat him up for you."

"PUT THOSE AWAY! There are children here." Lori screeched looking like she was going to be sick.

Gemini covered her eyes quickly, giggling. "No, nobody's hurt me. Actually, everyone's been really kind." She said.

"Why does everyone just assume that I'm going to do something bad? She's a child!"

"You did want to give the boys the talk and there only kids." Hughes smirked at Roy clearly enjoying how annoyed he was.

"We only assume because your a idiot who tells us about all his dates." Lori smirked joining Hughes in his quest to make Roy uncomfortable.

Gemini looked around at the adults in the room, not sure what they were talking about. "I'm not a child, I'm twelve years old. And what's "the talk" that you wanted to give Ed and Al?" She asked.

Twelve? I thought she was ten. Mustang kept the thought to himself, just in case she was as sensitive as Edward. "I'm leaving." He said abruptly, turning an amusing shade of pink at Gemini's question.

"Oh no you don't you still have work." Lori grabbed the back of his collar. "Go back to work. Since you seem to be attached to Armstrong he can tell you." The man paled and then pleaded with her. "Alright, alright but you can't show your muscles for a week." She gathered up the children and lead them to a closet explaining the birds and the bees.

Confused, Gemini followed Lori into the closet. Several minutes later, a scream was heard, and Gemini burst through the closet door, looking horrified. "That's sick! You're sick! I'm never, ever growing up 'cause adults are sick!" She shouted.

Lori ame out chuckling literally dragging Al along who had passed out. "Just you wait you'll think differently when your older." she smirked knowingly. "You ok Ed?" Ed had a look of horror and disgust on his face.

"No way! That's just sick!" Gemini protested vehemently. "I need a shower. And bleach for my brain." She shuddered.

"It's not sick."Lori pouted then noticed Roy and blushed. "Not sick at all."

Catching Lori's look, Mustang quickly looked away and scratched at his nose, trying to hide his own blush.

Gemini noticed the exchange and grinned wickedly. "Ooohhh, Miss Lori likes Colonel Mustang! I bet they kiss!"

"Shut up." Lori blushed more. "Or I'll make sure you have the talk again." It was a lame threat but she wasn't really going to threaten the girl.
