"One very messed up life." Lori laughed.

Al took her hand in order to keep up. "They need to make caffine injections." he smirked.

"We'll just have to make sure to be the best parents ever to make up for the mental trauma." Roy said.

Gemini laughed. "They can't do that, Al, or people like you would die of a caffeine overdose. That, and can you imagine your brother on caffeine? That would be horrible."

"That sounds just about right." Lori shifted May gentle. "Do you want to hold her while I vacuum and stuff?"

"Do you really think it would be that bad?" Al blinked softly.

Roy nodded and reached out to gently take the baby. "Sure. I like holding her."

Gemini shrugged. "Well, you're a workaholic, so I can see you just taking caffeine shots to stay awake over and over. And...think about Ed hyped up on caffeine, especially if someone called him short."

"I know you do. That baby has had you wrapped around her finger since she was born." Lori grinned and started to clean up the house. She stumbled at one point and had to grab the couch to stay up right. "Maybe I should take it easy." she sat down carefully.

"That would be scary." Al shuddered.

Naturally, when Lori stumbled, Roy was by her side in an instant. "I shouldn't have let you exert yourself so soon after having a baby. Do you want some water?"

Gemini nodded. "Exactly." She said. "Ooh, there's a sale on chicken. How about that for dinner?"

"I want to cuddle." Lori pouted and held her arms out waiting for him to sit down so they could cuddle.

"That sounds good. And maybe some potatoes?" Al asked with a smile.

Roy gave in instantly and sat down, putting his arms around her. "Alright, cuddle it is." He said, adjusting himself so that May wasn't stuck between them.

"Yeah, okay." Gemini agreed, picking up the chicken and putting it in the cart, along with a small bag of potatoes.

By the time they had everything and got in line Al was hanging onto the cart yawning every two seconds. "Need caffeine." he grumbled.

Lori sighed happily and smiled at May who was curled in between them cooing softly.

"Hang in there, we've got coffee at home." Gemini encouraged him gently.

"There, that's better. Can we just stay like this?" Roy asked, smiling.

Al nodded and slipped his hand into hers. When they got home he flopped onto the couch and was out in seconds.

Lori nodded. "For as long as May lets us." she tickled the babies tummy. May giggled and grabbed her finger seemingly happy to just hold onto her mother.

Gemini gave him a find smile and started putting the groceries away, then went about making dinner. She'd let him sleep until it was time to eat.

Roy's smile brightened just at the sound of May's giggle. He didn't think he'd ever loved a sound so much in his life.

Lori noticed the look on Roys face and giggled. ''You are so in love with this baby." she snuggled closer. "but you still love me of course. Right?" she pouted cutely at him.

"Of course I do." Roy nodded. "I love you both more than anything else in the world."

"Good." Lori kissed him gentle then yawned softly. "I'm beat already."

Al was woken by the smell of food. He walked over yawned then blinked. "When did we buy potatoes?" he looked confused. "That wasn't a dream was it?"

"You only just got out of the hospital. It's only natural that you'd get tired quickly." Roy said. "Don't push yourself too hard."

Gemini shook her head, smiling. "No, it wasn't a dream." She said. "Have a seat, dinner's almost ready."

"Thanks for cooking." Al kissed Gemini's cheek and set the table before sitting down. "Smells great."

"Your right. I have you to take care of my after all." Lori smirked evilly. "I could totally make you my slave." she was joking of course."

Gemini blushed slightly. She didn't think she'd ever stop blushing at those kisses. "No problem. You needed the nap." She said, bringing the food to the table. "We have chicken, potatoes and carrots. And I have something special in the oven for dessert."

"Yes, you could. And I wouldn't do a single thing to stop you." Roy said. He was only half kidding. "Anyway, I like taking care of you. You're my wife. It's my instinct to care for you, and for May, too."

"Yes but I'm not going to let you over do it either. What would Al do if you got sick? In fact what would the country do if you got sick?" Lori pouted at him. "Then I would have to take care of you of course but at least until she can sleep threw the night lets not get sick."

Al grinned. "I can't wait to see what you made for dessert." he blushed suddenly and looked away. A very naughty thought had just crossed his mind and he was a little embarrassed to say the least.

Roy nodded. "Deal." He said. "We'll both be careful to stay healthy, at least until May can sleep through the night."

Gemini, luckily, missed both the innuendo and Al's blush. "You'll see." She said, sitting down.

"I'm glad you agree." Lori gave him a gently kiss then sighed as a bad smell drifted up from May. "Someone needs to be changed." she chuckled and went to change the little one.

Al pouted cutely. "I'll have to eat fast so I can see it then." he joked.

Roy pouted, but let her go. After all, leaving May with a dirty diaper would be unpleasant for everyone.

"Don't give yourself a stomach ache, or you won't be able to have any." Gemini warned.

Lori changed May and kissed her tummy making the girl giggle. "There a clean baby." she picked her up and turned to Roy. "Do you think she'll be able to do alchemy when she's older?"

Al nodded and ate slowly but still managed to finish in record time. "Guess I was hungry." he chuckled leaning forward to steal food off her plate.

Roy shrugged. "That's entirely up to her. If she wants to learn, I'll teach her, of course. But if she doesn't care for it, that's fine too." He said.

Gemini laughed and jokingly swatted at his hand. "Alright alright, I get it. I'm done anyway." She said, pushing her plate towards him.

"If she's anything like us she'll want to learn." Lori smiled then blushed. "Though I learned so I could be a little closer to you."

Al ate the rest of her food and sighed. "Time for dessert?" he pouted cutely.
