Gemini nodded and settled further into her chair, taking his hand gently in hers. "Then I'll stay. Relax and rest, I'll be here when you wake up." She promised.

"OK." Al fell back asleep his hand relaxing.

Lori was waiting for Roy rocking May gentle. Roy had been at the office all night and she was beginning to get worried. She placed May in her play crib and sighed.

Al groaned and blinked. "morning?"

Roy walked in the door, looking beyond exhausted. "I'm home." He called quietly, not wanting to wake anyone if they were asleep.

Gemini had fallen asleep in the chair, with her head resting on the bed by Al's hand. At the sound of his voice, she stirred, but didn't wake up.

"Welcome home." Lori greeted him kissing his cheek. "You look exhausted. Go to bed this second young man."

Al smiled at her and reached out to touch her cheek. He hissed when he used the wrong arm taking a deep breath to keep from screaming.

Roy smiled warily. "Normally I'd argue, but I'm too tired." He said. "You're coming with me."

Hearing the hiss, Gemini's head shot up off the bed, her eyes instantly going to Al. "Are you okay? what happened?"

Lori blinked. "Alright." she took his hand and helped him into his pajamas then tucked him in before joining him curling up against him. "Sleep."

"Fine just moved the wrong way." Al assured her. "Being right handed does not help." he chuckled.

Roy pulled Lori close, and fell asleep as soon as they were comfortably settled.

Gemini sighed a little in relief. "Oh. You didn't reopen the wound, did you?" She asked, checking his bandages.

Lori giggled a little and let his sleep getting up when May began to cry. "That's your daddy." she whispered to her. "He loves us very much." she sat down to feed her humming softly.

"I don't think so." Al felt his shoulder. "It doesn't feel like I did."

Satisfied that he wasn't bleeding, Gemini backed away from Al a little bit. "Good. We can't have you getting even more hurt." She said. "How are you feeling?"

"Better." Al assured her. "It doesn't hurt nearly as much though it is sore." he reached out with his other hand this time and brushed the hair from her face.

Gemini's expression softened to a smile. "With any luck, you'll be healed up soon. Until then, I'll be filling in for you at work."

"Alright but no over going it. Someone has to help take care of me." Al grinned at her.

"Don't worry. I'm mostly going to be helping Roy manage the workload, and I won't be the only person helping. I'll still have plenty of time to take care of you." Gemini said.

"Good." AL gestured for her to lean closer. "Come here so I can kiss your cheek."

Gemini leaned forward to accept the kiss.

Al grinned and kissed her on the mouth instead. "got you." he winked at her.

Gemini blushed brightly, one hand going up to touch her lips. "You're such a tease." She said, smiling.

"I learned it from Roy." Al joked.

"Don't learn too much from him. I like you the way you are." Gemini said. "And I don't need you turning into a mini Roy."

"I will promise not to turn into a mini Roy." Al grinned at her then glanced at the door as Lori walked in pushing May in front of her. "Hey Lori. Where's Roy?"

"Sleeping so I brought Miss fussbritches here for a walk." Lori glared down at her daughter who was sucking on her pacifier.

Gemini grinned. "Well I'm glad you brought her by." She said, crouching down so she was eye level with the baby. "I just love seeing little May."

May giggled softly at her letting her pacifier fall out of her mouth. She started to babble at Gemini telling a story. "Thats adorable." Lori grinned.

Gemini giggled and nodded, listening. "Is that so? That's a very interesting story." She said. "Do you have any more stories?"
