"Good." Lori grinned. "Finally another girl Alchemist around here."

"There aren't a lot, are there?" Gemini asked.

"No only three that I can easily think of. Olivia, You and of course me." Lori created a small flame in her hand grinning a little. "Come on let's get you all set up." she lead the way grabbing the file a person handed her. "Ok here's your watch and your name...the Storm Alchemist."

Gemini smiled. "The Storm alchemist...I like that. Electricity is my specialty." She said proudly.

"I we'll get along just fine." Lori smirked and Gemini could practically see the evil things she had planned. "Let's head to my place its getting late." She lead the way stopping at a restaurant to get supper.

Gemini nodded. "Okay, then." She kind of liked this lady, she decided. When they got to the restaurant, Gemini paused. "I...don't want to make you pay for me. They won't let me in, anyway." She said, indicating her dirty clothes and bare feet.

"If you don't order something I'm not feeding you later. Get something and we'll eat outside." Lori gestured to the table's that sat near the road. "Better get use to people buying you things. Armstrong will probably buy you presents and I for one intend on getting you more clothes."

Gemini blushed, gazing down at her bare feet. She was used to fending for herself. No one had bought things for her since her parents died. "A-alright...thank you..."She said, slightly overwhelmed by the kindness people were showing her.

"Glad we have an understanding." Lori smiled then bought them both something to eat. "Dig in!"

Gemini made sure to eat every last bite, to show that she was grateful for it. "That was really good...thank you again." She said. She felt like she couldn't thank the woman enough.

"It was no problem." Lori blushed a little then spotted Roy on his way home a smiled softly gaze going distant. She seemed to forget Gemini was there "he's so amazing." she sighed.

Gemini raised an eyebrow. "Miss Lori...do you love Colonel Mustang?" She asked curiously.

Lori turned a bright pink color. "No of course not." She answered quickly a little to quickly maybe. "He's my boss and my friend. I'm not...I would never...I'm." She stammered. "I'm not." She finished lamely.

Gemini smiled knowingly. "Okay, if you say so." She said. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone." She added in a whisper.

Lori blushed more. "There's nothing to not say...he doesn't feel the same." She sighed watching him greet one of the girls of the night.

"How do you know?" Gemini asked. "I mean, earlier today he acted nicer to you than anyone else. It's obvious he respects you." She watched him greet another woman and shrugged. "I think he flirts with those other women so much because he doesn't respect them. He respects you too much to use that cheap flirting on you." For a twelve-year-old, she was surprisingly insightful.

"I wish you where right." Lori sighed and ducked her head when Roy looked there way blushing softly. "Did he spot us?"

"I'm gonna say yes." Gemini said as Mustang waved and made his way over.

"Hey, Lori. Fancy meeting you here. What are you two up to?" Mustang asked as he approached.

"Just have supper before we head to my place." Lori was glad the blush was gone from her face. "what are you up to?"

Mustang shrugged. "Nothing much. Just wandering, listening to the local talk. I find it interesting, the things the people talk about." He said casually. "So, did this little one make it through?" He asked, gesturing to Gemini.

Gemini blushed slightly, but didn't get angry at being called little. "Yes, I made it." She said proudly.

"Well we should go. Tomorrow is her first day of work." Lori paid and went to leave only to trip over the leg of her chair. She yelped as she headed for the ground bracing for the pain.

Without thinking, Mustang stooped to catch Lori. "Careful now. Are you okay?" He asked, helping her back up.

Gemini watched the interaction silently, smiling just a little.

"Thanks." Lori blushed fixing her skirt and shirt. "I just tripped no big thing." She shifted looking for something to talk about. "I'll see you tomorrow." She finally said with a soft smile.

Mustang raised an eyebrow, slightly amused by her unusual lack of words. "No witty commentary today? That means I'll probably get it worse tomorrow." He teased.

Gemini stood and went to Lori's side, deciding to help her out a bit. "We really should go. Miss Lori said she was going to get me some clothes, and it's getting late." She said.

Lori blushed then hurried away dragging Gemini with her. "Curse him." She grumbled heading for a short place.
