Well thanksgiving was a smashing success.
After dinner my daughter says, what a great holiday. But u know, since we moved here all our holidays and birthdays have been so good.
Then I said, of course. Momster ain't here.
Ain't that a shame. But OK. Momster had thanksgiving with my other sister. They're 2 peas in a pod.
Everything was delish .boo made a ham and sis made a turkey. Daughter made all the desserts. Banana pudding, apple pie, cheese cake,
We also had green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, and of course stuffing.
Bro r from the church is known as a light eater, but today he wopped up on some turkey. We also have him a plate to take w him.
After dinner I played the guitar and sang and then before bro r left he wanted us to pray for him so me being a minister gathered all of us together held a short prayer service.
It was a good day for all.
Thank u Jesus. Amen

glad you had such a fulfilling thanksgiving. I'm kinda glad we don't have it here though (apart from all the good foods) because its so close to Christmas, and we only just had Bonfire night so funds are already low. I think I'm thankful for that, so do I get to eat some candied yams?

Capt. That sounds just about as traditional as a Thanksgiving could get!
I am so happy for you and your family! ...and bro r!

Candied yams aren't just for Thanksgiving, ya know! They make a nice accompaniment to a pork chops...in the middlle of summer, even! Lol!
I empathize with ya about the cost of holidays....but Thanksgiving usually doesn't cost that much when each person brings a dish.
I find it to be more about the gathering of loved ones than the food....especially since I'm not big on turkey.

I love sweet potatoes just baked....add some butter....YUM!
If ya want to make it even better, sprinkle with a bit of brown sugar, maybe a little cinnamon...and bacon crumbles...MORE YUM! Lol!
When I bake sweet potatoes I usually wind up eating mine, half of Sarah's and most of Hope's, too!
I like to eat leftover baked sweet potatoes, cold, out of the fridge....slip the skin off and eat em like a banana!
They are really good for ya, too! !

I'll miss her but it's best.

omg!!!! OK, so you guys know I'm hormonally transgender.
Well it just dawned on me that I've worked fought&played as a man. & more, in the most macho tough guy things. Army, steamboats, steelworkers, security specialists
With only a half or so of the"real guys" brute strength.
Of course, I'm tall and leverage helps, but still....
I rock!!!!!

I wonder what the sandy dog's story was before he found your stoop? I found an old Alsatian on my doorstep a few new years eve's ago, but unfortunately he was far to ill for the vet to save. we found out later that his owner was an old homeless drunk who'd been dragging the poor mutt around for years, even after his hips gave way to arthritis. guess he got tired of dragging and just left the dog where he lay. we gave him the best of foods and company up till the end, and plenty of warm blankets too. pity we couldn't do much more than just make him comfortable

Kelsey, I always knew that you rock

Menelaus, that was a very nice thing for you to do for that dog!
I think its important for domesticated animals to know that someone cared about them before they die.

Am I the only one who thinks that Sandy-dog strikes a strong resemblance to the dog on Petticoat Junction?
...am I the only one who ever noticed the dog on that show?
...am I the only one who remembers that show at all? Lmao!

None of the male viewers noticed anything past the girls in the water tower.

if I did, I wouldn't have known for sure that I was watching Petticoat Junction, they offer change the names of shows when they send them overseas

Once again I find myself in self loathing mode.
I saw a pic on fb of a cow in line for slaughter crying her eyes out.
I'm gonna take another stab at the faceless diet.
Not eat anything that has a face.
Wish me luck.
The hardest thing about any diet is your family.
Loooooooord, but I'm a mess. 😿😿😿😿

OK, so yesterday I started back on my faceless diet.
Soooo today boo cooked hogs neck bones and potatoes with cornbread.
What's more, she bought a 20 LG pork loin chop.
Guess who's job it was to cut it into chops?
Now, I've never cut raw meat like this ever before.
I did it. It was hard work but I did it.
Nice thick chops.
It's not as bad as it sounds, I never mentioned to boo that I was gonna diet. Soooo... I'll eat meat when boo cooks it.
But pass on it for my snacks and dining out options.
Hey! It beats a blank
Well, in the tub. Bubble bath, awaaaaaay

Hi cappy! That's interesting you said you have half brute strength. When did you discover that? Could you do pull ups? I've never been able to do that. I do admire guys strength. What do you think of women going into combat? How can they physically carry their comrades? Fight hand to hand? They don't even have Olympic games with both genders.

I was out with my sister.
She was Christmas shopping. I was just tagging along enjoying the season.
As we were leaving I saw a large young man with a flat tire.
Oh look, says I to sis. But I reckon he's more about than me to deal with it.
That's when I noticed he couldn't break the tire loose from the wheel hub. They get stubborn.
I had sis pull over and told him, lady down on your back and kick it on alternating sides.
Says he, I've tried everything.
So I had sis pull over and I got out and did what I had told him. Laid down on my back and kicked the tire for about twenty seconds and it broke loose.
He was thankful, even if he did have to help me out.
And once again the day is saved by Cheshire Pisces!!!!!!
Later I opened a jar of pickles for sis....cheezzzz whizzzz awaaaaaay!!!!!
