Aurora hadn't been able to sleep so she had gone out to the hall and sat on the window seat staring out into the darkness. "Hey Steve." She smiled at his reflection in the window.

Steve blinked at her."hey",he said going over to her."you okay?"

"I couldn't sleep." Aurora shrugged. "To much on my mind." she sighed a little. She rubbed her temples scowling "I tried to but I keep hearing things." she stared at him. "Do you think? No I don't have powers." she chuckled.

"you have fire powers"Steve said and tilted hi head."what were you going to say?",he asked softly

"I thought I was hearing people's thoughts." Aurora shrugged.

Steve blinked."really?",he asked shocked.

"Yes really." Aurora shivered. "I thought I heard you thinking about me." She chewed her lip "think of something loudly. "

Steve blushed."okay", he stared at her anf in his head said, 'I think im falling in love with you'

"You do?" Aurora blinked. "I think I'm falling in love as well." She smiled softly. "Looks like I got a power I didn't know about."

Steve was blushing.So she had heard him.He grinned."good,it is good right?"

"Maybe." Aurora sighed. ''it's not fun having other peoples thoughts roam into my head. So help me if it happens when Tony is alone with Pepper I'm killing myself."

Steve smirked."that would be bad",he said softly,then jumped at the sound of Jessica screaming out in terror.


Jessica had been tossing and turning,deep in a nightmare where Aurora and herself had caused the world to end.She sat up gahsping,strugging to calm down

Thor hurried into the room. "Are you alright?" he asked hammer in hand looking around for the trouble.

"Looks like Thor has it covered." Aurora smiled.

Steve grinned a bit."if i didn't know any better I'd say he's falling for her...'

Jessica nodded ."J-just a bad dream...",she said in a whisper

"You should hear his thoughts." Aurora snorted. "he's totally in love."

"Are you sure?" Thor placed his hammer down. "I was told that when someone has a bad dream that they might like a hug."

Steve blinked looking to her."what really?"

Jess looked to Thor ,and blushing slightly she nodded

"Really...it's cute." Aurora giggled. "So...since you like me do you want to try dating?"

Thor smiled and hugged her gentle. "There, there it's alright." He smoothed her hair down.

Steve smiled."I'd like that...since we do work together it will be easyer"

Jess curled into him .."thank you",she said softly not wanting to move away from him.

"Yes it will." Aurora smiled and then blinked she moved from the window. "Let's go downstairs." She was blushing softly.

Thor let her stay there his fingers combing threw her hair he was humming a tone his mother use to sing when he was little and wasn't feeling good.

Steve blinked a little."sure"

Jess soon dozed off but had found herself clinging to his shirt.Not wanting him to leave

"I can hear Jess's thoughts." Aurora explained then let out the biggest yawn he had ever seen.

Thor rested on the bed with her tucked in his arms a soft blush on his face.

Steve blinked and smiled."ou should try to sleep,even if its on the couch"

Jess cuddeled into him when they rested on the bed,though she had a tear in the corner of her eyes as she slept.

Thor brushed the tears away before he too fell asleep.

"Sleep would be good." Aurora stumbled a little. "I wish there was a way to block out the thoughts."

"You'll find a way",Steve looked her over and gent;y picked her up."Here, let me carry you",he said heading down the stairs and was glad the others had gone off to sleep and then laid her on the couch,sittign oon the edge

"thanks Steve." Aurora settled in pulling the extra blanket over her. "Your thoughts are nice and quiet." she focused on him eventually falling asleep holding his hand.
