Emily looked at Thomas and nodded."Okay then." she whispered quietly and walked with Thomas close behind Deuce to his house. "Why do you live so far away from people?" she asked Deuce.

Deuce opened his front door and walked inside. He looked at Emily when she asked her question and he chuckled. "I'm not a people person." he answered and took Luna to his room where he lay her down in his bed and tucked her in then walked back out to the living room.

Thomas smiled a bit."you may not be a people peson,but it seems Luna has warmed your heart",he said softly. He sioghed and hung his head in shame. "Deuce,please forgive me for what I said back in the hospital",he said softly."I had no right,I know you care about Luna,and there was nothig you could do in the condition you were in. I was just so angry that something had happened to her,she has been through so much already....",he looked to him."please....please don't stay away from her,I don't know how to deal woth a new wlf,and she really would be sad if you left",he said softly looking at himhis eye truely sorry

"Well well well....usually us muts are the beggers." Deuce started and motioned for them to sit. "I'll see what I can do to help her out. We wolves stick together, you know that. I guess I should tell you what happened." Deuce said and sat down as well. "We were walking around and came to a lake. We stayed there for a while, talking and then she mentioned her father being an artist that had art in the museum so I said we could go. She was so happy, and when we started to go another wolf showed up. I knew it wasn't going to go well so I told her to run and hide and she did. While he and I were fighting she decided to help me out and hit the other wolf. Eventually I killed it and I took her and myself to the hospital. I think he had bit her because it's the only way she could have been turned." Deuce explained.

Emily couldn't believe what they had gone through. It sounded horrible, they could have died! Thankfully they didn't but they were both still very hurt.

Thomas sighed,knowing Deuce was't going to forgie him anytime soon.As he sat down he frowne sadly as he listened to what they had gone through.He smiled softly."That sound like Luna,coming back to help even though there's danger",he said softly."Thank you Deuce,it could have turned out much worse,I'm glad you were there to protect her",he said softly.

Luna sighed softly and blinked awake again.This tmes she was warm ad cozzy.She looked around and smield.She was in Deuces bedroom.She sat up slowly and groaned at how light headed she was.Then how thirsty she was,and hungry.How long had she been out in the woods?.She carefully swung hr legs over the bed,and moved to get up, Then yelped as she tripped over her own to feet ,her legs were still asleep."ow",she huffed softly and sat up.

Thomas blinekd hearing teh light crash form up stairs.'I think she's up"

Deuce smiled and looked at both Thomas and Emily. "You two go check on her. I'll make us all some food. I'm sure you're both hungry." he said and left to the kitchen to start working on some food for everyone.

Thomas smiled softly."alright",she said and stood looking to Emily."come on",he said softly.

Emily nodded and walked with Thomas over to the room where Luna was. "Luna, h-hi. How are you feeling? Are you okay?" she asked her friend.

Deuce was busy in the kitchen, making food for everyone. He hoped they were hungry, he knew Luna would be.

Luna loked up and blijned seeing Thomas and Emily.She smiled a little and nodded."yes,im fine",she said softly."my legs are still asleep thought"

Thomas eyes widened at Luna talking so openly. He smiled wondering if Deuce had anything to do with it."Luna....you had us worried sick....your lucky Deuce fnd yu",he scolded.

Emily couldn't believe that her friend was actually talking! Maybe Deuce helped her come out of her shell more than
she thought.

Deuce finished making everyone some food and placed the bowls on a tray then walked over to his room where everyone was catching up. "Hello Luna. I know you're hungry so don't try to hide it." he said and handed her a bowl. "Here, eat up while it's still good." he said to her and handed the meals to both Thomas and Emily before grabbing his own. "We can eat here or at the table." he said.

Luna had blinekd at their shocked faces .Then her face lit up a bit more when Deuce came in she gently took the bowl."im starving",she said asoftly."and my legs are still asleep so maybe we should eat here",she said shyly.

Thomas looked to Deuce."did she always talk this openly to you?",he asked gently raking the bowl

"At the start, no. When she was in school she never spoke. I think she started talking to me this way when I brought her to my place. Ever since then she just spoke to me this way, I was just as surprised as you both are when I first heard her speak." Deuce explained.


Emily listened to Deuce speak and smiled at Luna. "He was always nice to you wasn't her?" she asked Luna softly. She was happy to see her friend again and she knew that Deuce couldn't be a bad guy.

Luna nodded and blushed.

Thomas smiled"she trusts you,she normaly oney speaks to us,but even thene its rare,you must make her feel safe"

Deuce nodded, "Yes, I guess I do." he answered and looked at Luna. "Luna, do you remember what I said we will do in case of a full moon?" he asked her, wanting to know if she remembered at all.

Luna blinked a bit.'we stay inside ...right?",she asked her head still a bit fuzzy

"Close but wrong." Deuce said and smiled sadly. "You stay inside, I stay outside. The door is to remain locked until the sun is out. You will not open the door until then, if I ask to come in before that time you have to ignore me. It is for our safety." Deuce explained.

Thomas glanced at Deuce."what about her,shes ...like yyou know too...",he said woorried

Luna nodded then looked o Thomas.So she had seen him and Emily at the beach and he saw her.Wait.How did he know it was her?

Deuce nodded. "I know. But if the both of us are in the same room I fear we may end up hurting each other and I don't want that. She'll be safer inside rather than being outside." Deuce explained.

"Why is she safer inside?" Emily asked curiously. "Well, because she can be killed outside if someone is out hunting." Deuce answered her.

Thomas frowned,remembering how she was almost shot on the beach."alright",he said softly and rubed the back of his head."be sure to lissen to Deuce okay?",he said looking to Luna.

Luna blinked but nodded."alright",she smield to Deuce sadly."I'm sorry you have to take care of me for a bit",she said softly looking down

"You don't have to be sorry Luna. I'm going to take care of you even if you don't want to. What you have become is dangerous, you need to understand that and you need to learn to control it. When there's a full moon you can't control it, but every other time you can. Your anger will most likely trigger the transformation, so you need to keep your anger under control." he explained to her seriously.

Thomas smiled softly."well the anger part you shouldnt have to worry about,i dont think ive ever seen Luna get angry,have you Emily?",he asked her softly.

Luna blushed moe at that.It was true,she never really got angry

Emily shook her head. "Yes, I've never saw her angry at all." Emily answered honestly.

Deuce smiled, "Well that's good to know. Still, try to keep your emotions under control because we don't know which one will be the one to make you snap." he said to Luna.

Thomas smiled at Emily and looked to Luna."you'll do just fone",he said softly and smiled more."Yu have us ,esessialy Deuce looking out for you",he looked to the window. "if we want o get home ,we better go now Emily",he said looking to her."I dont want your aunt and uncle to worry,and we should let them know Luna is saf and ound...and i will xplain some things to you",he said softly.

Luna nodded and tried to stand but flinched her mussels still hurt.Was it always going to feel this bad?

"Feel free to visit any time you'd like. You know where I live." Deuce said to both of them and smiled. He knew that Thomas had a lot to explain to his little friend there, hopefully she would believe him though. Looking back at Luna he shook his head. "Do not move, your body is really sore from the transformation. It needs complete rest. If you need something that's why I'm here." he explained.

Emily nodded, "You're right. My auntie and uncle are going to worry if I'm not home soon." she said and waved at Luna. "We will try to visit as much as we can Luna. Get better soon and listen to Deuce, he knows your situation better than anyone right now." she said to her friend.

Thomas smiled."rest up Luna,you;ll be back to school before you know it",he then gave a thankful nod to Deuce amd headed out.

Luna pouted cutely."I just wanted to get on the bed,the floor isn't that comfortable...plus i have to use the washroom",she said softly.She had been sitting on the floor since her first attempt get out of bed.Her but was starting to hurt

Emily followed Thomas out and started walking with him back to her house. "So...what exactly do you need to explain to me?" Emily asked softly.

Deuce laughed, "The floor is comfortable once you get used to it." he said to her and carefully helped her up. "Alright let's take you to the washroom." Deuce said and helped her over to the bathroom then opened the door for her. "In you go. I'll wait out here." he said to her.
