"It's so cool outside, very nice." Emily said softly to herself and then looked at Thomas. "Can you believe we're going to be working together now?" she asked and smiled. "We'll have to tell Luna and Deuce sometime when we see them." Emily suggested.

Tom nodded."eyah",he said grinning."maybe well pop in and see them some time tomorrow"

"I wonder how they're doing. Hopefully they haven't fought, hopefully Deuce is being good and getting better. Were his wounds really serious?" she asked Thomas softly. "I only ask because you went with him to get his stitches removed. What was that like?" Emily asked.

"I'm sure there fine",Thomas said softly."and his wounds were pretty bad...he went through a lot to keep Luna safe.. .though i don't think she is use to that yet"

"I'm sure this won't be the first time he does this in order to keep her safe." Emily commented and sighed softly. "He's always protecting her, she will have to get used to it eventually I think." she said, hugging herself.

"oh im sure she will",Thomas said softly."shes been on her own for years,and weve donw what we ould,but Deuce ,hes showing ehr she is worthy of bing cared about,loved,and protected",he said softly."remember how close we had to watch her after her parents died?she had almost given up on living....she even went mute,well,exset for you"

Emily listened to Thomas and nodded. "I remember, she always liked being alone and didn't talk to anyone but me. However, she's come a long way since Deuce showed up. She started to talk more now that he's here...we didn't even know anything about him and he didn't know anything about us either but he was always kind to Luna." Emily said softly.

Deuce continued sleeping peacefully, wincing only whenever he moved which was every now and then.

Thomas nodded."yeh",he said and smiled."he's good for her,and i think she knows it too"

Luna had eventually dozed off in the chair ,wanting to stay close

Emily smiled, "Yeah I think that they are both good for each other. They are both stubborn too but I think that's why they're so good for each other." she noted and laughed softly.

Deuce growled in his sleep and slowly opened his eyes. He noticed Luna fast asleep on the chair. He let out a soft whine and reached out to hold her soft hand in his. At least know he'd know she was safe.

"i wonder who woukd win at a stuborn contest",Thomas said grinning

Luna jolted awake,but smiled softly at Deuce."you okay"

Emily laughed, "Oh that sounds interesting. I'm not very sure who would win at that." she answered. "I think it would be a draw or Luna would win because maybe Deuce would do whatever she asked him to." she said softly.

Deuce kissed her hand and smiled at her. "Come to bed. You look tired." he whispered. "I'm okay, just hurts when I move." he explained.

Thomas blinked."you really think so?"

Luna was blushing but she nodded ansd carefully cmibed into bed.

Emily ran her fingers through her long black hair and nodded. "I do." she answered. "Who do you think would be the winner in such a battle?" she asked him curiously.

Deuce purred softly as he wrapped his arms around her slender body and cuddled with her. "Much better." he murmured, closing his eyes and trying to go back to sleep.

Luna was bright red but smiled staying where she was,wanting him to relax.

"Wll there both crazy stuborn,but neither would want to hurt the other one,and if they did they would feel guilty...again i think it be a toe..."

Emily listened to what Thomas said and knew he was right. "You're right. It would most likely be a tie, neither of them would want to hurt the other." she said and looked up at the sky. It would be getting dark soon.

It didn't take too long for Deuce to fall back to sleep with her in his arms. Hopefully she'd be able to sleep as well.

UNA WAS BLUSHING SOFTLY.hAPPY WHERE SHE WAS ,IT FELT SAFE.

tHOMAS SMILED."i SHOULD GET GOING",HE SAID SOFTLY

Emily looked at Thomas and smiled sadly. "I understand. I guess I'll see you tomorrow?" she asked softly.

Thomas smiled and leaned down kissing her deelpy."of course"

Emily blushed a soft pink at the kiss and kissed him back lovingly, running her fingers through his hair before breaking the kiss. "Alright then, I'll see you then. Goodnight and sweet dreams, be safe." she whispered.

Thomas smiled."same to you,love you",he said softly'

Emily felt her heart skip a beat at Thomas' words. "I love you too." she said softly and waved. She looked forward to seeing him tomorrow. Emily was also looking forward to checking in on their friends after work.

Thomas watched her go back inside before heading home,grinning at how happy he was

Once inside her house, Emily let out a happy sigh that her aunt and uncle heard. "Where's Thomas?" her uncle asked. "It's getting late so he had to go home." Emily answered. "That sigh tells us he did something before saying goodnight." her aunt teased.

The next day,Thomas had been up earlu,grabbed a quick breakfats and was on his way to meet up with Emily.Then looked forward to seeing there friends,hoping they were okay

Luna was in a deep sleep,staying close to Deuce.She felt beyond safe while she slept next to him.But told herself not to get use to it,since ,once Deuce was btter,hed probabbly go home...she didnt want him to,but she didnt want to guilt him into staying

Emily blushed at what her Aunt said and giggled. "It's nothing bad, he just said he loved me." she said before saying goodnight and quickly going to her room where she got dressed for bed and went to sleep. The following morning, Emily ate some breakfast with her aunt and uncle before walking with them over to the cafe. Today was Thomas' real first day of work.

Deuce yawned and opened his eyes to see the lovely Luna sleeping soundly in his arms. He was very careful when he crawled out of bed, making sure not to wake her as he limped to the kitchen and started to work on some breakfast for her.
