Aurora cowered away from the man who snarled. "She is mine. She accepted me...not intentionally but I will not hand over what is mine." He shivered a little. "This boy is becoming a nuisance." He snarled. "Once I deal with you he's next." He stepped towards Gemini. Aurora bite her lip and suddenly a hazzy image of Steve appeared between Gemini and the man. He stopped short "you think that will stop me?"

"She doesn't belong to anyone, she's a person! And she certainly can't belong to someone who would take her by force." Gemini insisted. She blinked and stared at the image of Steve. "After me, huh? In that case, you'll never get to him, because you're not getting past me." She prayed Aurora would keep fighting.

Aurora could feel herself getting tired and knew she couldn't hold on much longer. She did the only thing she could think of "Gemini do you have water?" she asked flinching as the man hissed. "If we dose him with it." she shrugged knowing there might also be the chance that her powers would go out.

Gemini caught on quickly. "There's water nearby. Hang on, I promise I'll see you soon!" With that, she disappeared. On the outside, she came back to herself with a jolt. "Water!" She gasped. "We can defeat it with water!"

Steve jumped, startled. "Well...okay." He said. He went to put Aurora down, only to find Gemini shaking her head. "What?"

"You can not put her down, no matter what. I'll be right back with water." Gemini said, standing up and running away. She came back just a few moments later with a bucket of water. "I'm going back in. Wait for my instructions!" She said, before grabbing Aurora's hand again. This time, she was only half inside the other's mind. "I have it. Tell me what to do!"

"Your not going to like it." Aurora sighed. "I'm going to let him out once you see the black fire you have to keep pouring no matter the sounds I make." She was expecting this to hurt. She wrestled with the man "Go!" She forced the being out and at once a black flame surrounded her body.

Gemini didn't have a chance to answer before the man was shoved out, and she had to leave as well. "Pour water on her! Steve, hold her down, and don't let her up no matter what." She gasped, grabbing for the bucket of water. Only seconds later the black fire appeared, and Gemini started dousing it.

Steve was incredibly confused by all this, but still he did as Gemini told him and held Aurora down. The black fire burned, and he got the distinct impression Aurora was in pain, but he didn't let go.

Aurora clawed at him hissing in pain. Slowly the fire went out leaving her panting and exhausted.

Steve took every hit without flinching. Once the fire was out, he relaxed his grip just a little. "Is it over? Will she be okay now?" He asked.

Gemini had run out of water, so she was glad to see the fire go out. Collapsing to her knees, she put a hand on Aurora's forehead. "Come on...be okay..."

"Mmh?" Aurora swatted Gemini's hand away and curled towards Steve. "Ow." She mumbled slowly opening her eyes.

"So far so good." Tony smiled at Aurora who just glared.

Gemini pulled her hand back, her expression hurt. "Are you going to be alright now?" She asked.

Steve pulled Aurora close, cradling her gently. "Is there anything I can do to help?" He asked her.

Aurora flinched. "You can loosen your grip a little." she groaned. "Everything hurts." she glanced at Gemini. "Thank you."

"I think we're all just glad your alright." Tony looked relieved though he was staring at Gemini not Aurora.

Steve instantly relaxed his grip, not wanting to cause her any more discomfort than she was already feeling. "Sorry." He said.

Gemini gave her a tired smile. "No problem." She said. "Are you really free of it now? Cause I don't want to do that to you again."

"I'm free." Aurora sounded exhausted and she was keeping close to Steve shivering a little.

"How about you?" Tony asked Gemini. "Are you alright?"

Gemini blinked and tiled her head, as if this question hadn't occurred to her. "Me? I'm fine." She said, clearly wondering why he was asking about her.

"Can we get a blanket over here?" Steve asked, noticing Aurora's shivering. "Do you think you need a hospital?" He asked her.

"I don't know. I'm just cold." Aurora tried to get closer to Steve sighing as Bruce draped a blanket over her and started to check her over.

"I just wanted to make sure." Tony smiled at her.

Steve held Aurora gently, staying quiet as he waited to hear if she was alright.

Gemini blinked. "Okay, then." She shrugged to herself.

"She's alright physically." Bruce frowned pulling away. "We should have her looked over by someone who knows her powers."

Tony sighed a little. "People who like each other tend to ask of the other one is alright."

"Is there anyone who knows your powers, Aurora?" Steve asked. As far as he knew, he'd never met anyone with her powers. But there had to be someone they could ask.

Gemini blushed and glanced away. "Oh. Right." She mumbled. She still wasn't sure if she should let herself feel...whatever she was feeling for him.

"The person who trained me." Aurora felt better with the blanket tucked around her. "He was living in California the last time I checked but I haven't heard from him in forever."

"Let it all in." Tony smirked at Gemini. "I'll teach you all about being in love."

Steve sighed. "Well, it's worth a shot, at least." He said. "We'll wait until you have a bit more energy and then head out. Is that okay?"

Gemini blushed brightly. "I-I'm not...I can't..." She clamped her mouth shut and focused on resisting the burn of tears behind her eyes.

"Sure you can." Tony helped her stand up. "I can be patient when I want to be and I'll wait for you to change your mind...though I will be annoying."

"Yeah. As long as your here." Aurora smiled up at him and slowly drifted off.

"Yeah, because annoying someone is the perfect way to make them like you." Gemini said with as much sarcasm as she could muster.

Steve smiled. "I'll stay with you, no matter what." He said quietly as she drifted off.

"Exactly. Eventually they give in just to shut you up." Tony nodded a grin on his face.

Gemini's expression clouded over. "Right. Sure. You go ahead and do that, see how far it gets you with me." She said, then turned and walked away.

"Come back I was joking." Tony caught up with ease. "I wouldn't actually do that...not knowingly anyways. I'm more mature then that."
