Steve rolled his eyes. "We're gonna need extra room for your ego." He said.

"I'm sure someone out there feels that way about you." Gemini said. "Meanwhile, why are you ,en so snippy with each other? Is it a penis thing?"

Steve turned bright red and started coughing. "I-what-you-that's...I refuse to talk about this!"

Tony blinked then burst into laughter holding his side. "I like this girl."

Aurora turned a dark pink color. "I bet Steve would win that." she mumbled.

"You would think so." Gemini said slyly. "We could find out right now."

No longer able to speak, Steve walked away. His blush could be seen even from behind.

"I may be willing to show off but that is even beyond my comfort zone." Tony admitted with a soft smirk his cheeks a faint pink color.

Aurora slipped away from them ready to end the conversation.

Gemini chuckled. "I never knew teasing could be so much fun." She said happily.

"Come on, let's get going!" Steve called, impatient to start.

"We're coming old man." Tony easily caught up with the group. "Oh of course it's fun you just have to know your victim." He chuckled. "I know Aurora and Steve since there the same it's easy to tease them both at the same time.

Gemini smiled but didn't say anything. Mentally, she was taking notes for future teasing.

"Stop teaching her your nefarious ways." Aurora sighed glad they where talking the trail they where at least no one would come across them or find any bodies for a while.

Tony shrugged and then grinned. "If someone wants to learn at the feet of the master who am I to say no?"

"Is this argument really necessary?" Steve asked irritably.

"There's no argument. Relax, you'll get heart problems going on the way you do." Gemini said.

"It's hard to relax when we're supposed to be taking things seriously and at least two of us won't do that!"

"Listen, I can literally feel your tension, along with the mixed emotions of everyone here. If I try to lighten the mood to make it easier on myself and everyone else, you can hardly blame me!"

"You do need to relax old man." Tony sighed then pushed Aurora gentle into Steve. "Tell him Aurora." he grinned as Aurora stumbled only managing to keep up right by gripping Steve's arm.

"You need to not be so relaxed." Aurora sighed righting herself then ran a hand threw her hair. "Your both right. Steve needs to relax but you need to take things more serious."

"I do take things serious but it's going to take us an hour to walk to the base I'm just trying to lighten the mood." Tony shrugged.

Gemini was rubbing her temples, looking a bit stressed. "I think I made a mistake coming here. I can't handle so many emotions at once." She said.

"Are you serious? Wait a minute, are you saying you've never been around this many people before? You've got to be in your twenties at least. How is that possible?" Steve asked. He hadn't realized just how sheltered she'd been.

"I am twenty-five, and until a few months ago, I lived alone. There are places in Japan- in every country- secret places where those who wish to hide may live peacefully. My father, being a kitsune, brought my mother to one of these places when she became pregnant with me. We lived there in seclusion for sixteen years, until my powers became unstable and killed my parents. Then I lived alone until I was invaded by this... Aether. In my whole life, I have never been around more than three people."

Steve didn't know what to say. He hadn't thought it was possible for a person to be secluded that way their entire life. No wonder she was having so much trouble around all of them.

"Well this is a crash course on how to handle all the emotions." Tony studied her. "We'll try to keep the emotions down but." he shrugged.

"But he can't help but be him." Aurora sighed finishing for him. "I promise to help you as much as I can." she hugged the girl thinking warm happy thoughts. "Is that better?"

"Right. We'll all do what we can to help." Steve said. He wasn't sure how to tone down his emotions, but he would try.

Gemini paused, unsure how to react to the hug. "I...yes, that's...it helps. Thank you." She said, giving them all a tiny smile.

"You can hug me back I don't have a disease. I had myself checked after I dated Tony." Aurora smirked.

Tony's eyes widened in surprise and he started to laugh. "Oh come on I'm not that bad."

Lori's statement actually surprised Steve into laughing. "For some reason, I didn't see that coming."

Gemini smiled, glad that the general mood had lightened. "I apologize, I'm not used to hugging. I'll try next time."

"Alright." Aurora wonders ahead to talk to Natasha she bad and easy friendship with the girl.

Tony studied Steve for once keeping his thoughts to himself hoping he could make Gemini feel better when she was around them.

Since the drama seemed to be over, Steve started walking again. He kept his thoughts light, just in case his mood was affected by them.

Pulling her hands inside her sleeves, Gemini continues to walk. She concentrated on keeping her powers reined in, trying not to feel the emotions around her.

Aurora spotted the base first she had been climbing on of the rock hills on the path when she stopped "it's huge." She gasped eyes scanning the building. As the others crested the hill they saw the Hydra base with members patrolling the outside.

Coming up beside Aurora, Steve had to pause for a moment. "This is...how has this been here without anyone finding it?" He asked. It was too big not to be noticed. Unless it was like Area 51 and they killed anyone who got too close. "...Actually, that's probably exactly it..." He muttered.

Gemini was momentarily dumbstruck by the base in front of them. "How are we going to do this? There are so many..." She said, her face going pale as the emotions of the soldiers started to faintly reach her. If she went in there, she was sure to lose control. "Wait...I think I just figured out how to take most of them out."

"Your Bruce?" Aurora suggested making Bruce scowl lightly. "I'm kidding." she assured the man with a soft smile watching the base frowning as a man stepped out. 'Hit the deck." she hide and looked to Nat who looked as frightened as her. "It's the Winter Soldier." Nat swallowed joining Aurora.

Tony blinked and slid down next to a rock examining the masked man. "I thought he was a myth."

"Ha ha. I was talking about that power I told you guys about before. The one that-" Gemini was cut off by the order to get down. She ducked instantly.

Steve dropped to the ground, his training kicking in before he could even think. "The winter soldier?" He asked in a whisper. "Explain please."

"Most of the intelligence community doesn't believe he exists. The ones that do call him the Winter Soldier. He's credited over two dozen assassinations in the last 50 years." Nat shivered a little. "Five years ago I was escorting a nuclear engineer out of Iran, somebody shot at my tires near Odessa. We lost control, went straight over a cliff, I pulled us out, but the Winter Soldier was there. I was covering my engineer, so he shot him straight *through* me." Nat lifted her shirt a little shows them the bullet wound on her stomach. "A Soviet slug, no rifling. Bye-bye bikinis."

"That's horrible." Gemini said, shivering. "But he looked pretty fit...he'd have to be Steve's age, at least. How can he still be up and running?" She asked. "And why don't I feel anything from him?"

"This is insane. First the gigantic base, and now a legendary killer that's not supposed to exist and shouldn't be alive. What do you mean you don't feel anything?" Steve asked, suddenly catching that last bit.

"I mean what I said. He's within range, and I can feel emotions from the people around him, but he's like...a black hole. This really cold, dark spot on my awareness. I can't feel him." Gemini said. This seemed to disturb her quite a lot.

"And...that's a bad thing?"

"It's never happened before. Everyone has emotions...except him, apparently."

"I've meet the winter soldier as well...I think he could even beat Steve. He's mind has been stripped he feels nothing...makes for a good killer one who has no emotions." Aurora swallowed. "We need to think of a new plan know that we know the Winter Soldier is here." she watched the man he was staring at her and started to walk there way. "there's no way he saw us." Aurora paled.

"No emotions means no fear...but he's gotta sleep, right? Someone say he sleeps." Gemini said, her voice dropping even lower.

"I don't know. Why does that matter?" Steve asked.

"Because I can make people fall asleep. I just need eye contact."

"Too dangerous. We outnumber him. If he somehow saw us, we should be able to fight him."
