@ ava; oh, it wasn't just because of that stuff was it?
Usually some foods and drinks will alter the way you smell.
I know pop does it to pee, lol
Yeah, since they are reuable they are a green-friendly product.
They're definitely inventive and if it works for some peeps, then yay.
But yeah, for me I see it as... I don't want to deal with that stuff anymore than I have to. That is how I personally feel. You're right, there are women who tend to snear or act like they don't have the same bodily functions as you do. Usually tend to be in-between adult or older women who do that. I'm tired of hearing "TMI TMI TMI." There's no such thing as TMI because some may learn new things they haven't and are not the only ones who deal with it.
lol They do use the red "period dot" in one commercial but I forget which.
Maybe it was always before they updated it???
awh,
I'm glad you found an alternative!
For me its like, ugghhh xDD
@ Inza; No longer???
Did you remove your ovaries?
My friends mom had her ovaries removed because she was sick of dealing with the female stuff.
I think it affected her by increased weight gain, though. I saw before pictures of her and she wasn't as big as she was.
Yeah, I saw the cup thing.. I can see that happening, lmao

Lol....... I was in a bar one time and the barmaid and some girls at the counter were talking about condoms.
Well there was this guy joined in and the girls thought he was being funny.
But they realized soon that he knew what he was talking about. He was a male prostitute and his arsehole leaked from excessive abuse..... Like, eew!!!

Why don't sharks eat lawyers? Professional courtesy.
Not that I can't complain too much, but the system we work out of for my job is down. Dag nab it. Guess that I means I can post here. Woo hoo!

M i r o....No,...I still have my ovaries.
I'm about to turn 55 on the 20th...I successfully advanced through menopause without many adverse side affects.
I had had a heart attack some years before, making me ineligible for a hysterectomy, because people with heart disease can't be treated with hormone therapy...or so I was told.
I get an occasional hot flash...but, me being a hater of the cold, I don't complain much when my face gets all red and sweat starts pouring down my back! Lol!
I love how diverse the topics get in this thread, by the way!! !

Conversations up in this thread are ridiculously hilarious most of the time. Part of the reason I keep coming back.
Well how do, only two hours of down time and now we are back up and running and we can print. Hooray.

I love the topics we discuss here too. :D
@ M i r o ;
I think it was definitely because of the disposables. All of the blood and bacteria and sweat was trapped in the plastic and I was always self conscious because I could smell the blood very strongly on myself and I worried everyone else could smell it too. I realize now that was probably an irrational fear, but I could smell myself in disposable pads.
In the cloth pads I don't smell myself and my craw can breathe so there's not so much sweat and grossness getting trapped in that one area.
The cup is pretty awesome too. I use that as well on days I want to go swimming (Or days I don't want people to notice the pad.) I use the DivaCup and I think it's a wonderful product. It's dye free and you don't even feel it when it's in if you put it in the right way. The only thing I have against the cup is that it can be hard to take out sometimes... You kind of have to push it out enough that you can hold onto the ridged sides and even then, once you got a hold on it, when you go to pull it out, if you don't fold it into itself to break the "seal" it can hurt coming out. For me, it hurts all the time coming out even when I do break the seal because... well... I dunno. I don't use that area very much and I'm sensitive down there.
Anyway... There's my shpheal on the whole cup front.

Ava, I am loving the term "craw!"
I, personally, have never heard that word used for that region of the body.
But, I have heard the expression "That really sticks in my craw!" many times!
I had never put much thought to what a "craw" WAS!
Now, that expression takes on a completely different mental image in my head! Lmao!
Oh..and, by the way..there is no such thing as TMI in my world! Lol! !

ohhh, that will do it then.
I think hot flashes would be a perk in cold weather. lol
I'm naturally cold/cool and it sucks when it gets colder outside.
Whenever I am warm or too warm I feel kinda ill. My body temp is weird.
But I am one of those peeps with ice box feet, lmao
April? Happy Early Birthday!!
eh, I'm sorry to hear that. :/
Removing internal organs seems pretty risky to anyone anyway.

I've never heard of it used that way either.
When I read that, it sounds like its like a bird or something (freaky image)
Nor mine xD
I do wonder when "TMI" slang was first started, it's really annoying.
@ Ava The Vampire: Oh, okedokeys. I understand ^^
yeah, I'm happy for you to feel comfortable with what you use now.
There's too many things in the world that are already cause self-consciousness lol
ehh, is it because it works like a suction cup onto your skin???
I just don't like having any kind of door-stop, so I will never use tp's or the cup, haha!
I bet it answered some others concerns about it, though!
I know 1-2 peeps asked about the diva thing before

I watched my uncle put salt on a slug once...
It was so traumatizing.
I swear I could hear that little slug screaming at the top of it's little lungs...
