doctors drive me nuts. all kinds. they're all so damn full of themselves . and i'm talking about specifically every single one i've encountered that is treating me. except that knee specialist. he was amazing.

and dr awesomly nice who moved away. sadness...

but they've all never listened. even the shrinks are like. what. you don't wear abercrombie and fitch and you're bullied? well no wonder! be more girly . silly child. *STABS* I'm gonna be me bitch. Back off. You can't change me. you're suppossed to listen and help me get over things not ATTACK ME!?!?!?!?!?!

Ahh, so you're not girly either! So glad we found each other.

Damn know it all doctors! I think part of their training should be LISTENING to what the patient is saying. People generally have pretty good instincts when it comes to their bodies and knowing if there is something wrong.

I don't know a lot about HPV. It doesn't make sense to me.
If what little I know about it is correct, I caught a strand of HPV once.

I'm going to put it in a spoiler because it may be TMI for some people...

SPOILERX

I caught an STD, (warts) last year and I think that's a strand of HPV that is (hopefully?) non-cancerous but is still HPV. Right? I think that's right.
Anyway, I'll just say you aren't alone, Shadami!

Anyway,
I'm not girly either. Well, that's a lie. I'm kind of girly. I like girly things, yet, I don't shave so I'm hairy and I say a lot of TMI things and I'm very gross. :P

I think some doctors just don't know how to treat teenagers. I've seen therapists as a teenager and they were ALL HORRIBLE because they treated me like an idiot and I think that's because a lot of therapists don't take teenagers seriously.

I'm putting this stuff in a spoiler too so I don't trigger anyone. So, warning, triggering material ahead!

SPOILERX

I saw one therapist for about three months when I was 14 and the whole time I was complaining about feeling alone, bullied because of my ethnicity (growing up in a mostly white neighborhood), and I felt just so sad that I couldn't "snap out of it". This was the same therapist that I told that I had been sexually abused and he decided I was lying about it because, well, apparently I wasn't "acting sexually abused". Well, after those three months he decided I was just being a moody teenager and decided that the therapy sessions could stop.

Like, two years after that I attempted suicide and was hospitalized. I had an IV and everything and I was placed on a 72 hour hold. When I got out of the hospital my parents (for some stupid reason) took me to see that same, shitty therapist and he was like, "Wow, I thought you were normal." I was 17 at the time and only after I attempted suicide did he actually take me seriously.

I think that's sad because someone should NOT have to almost take their own life to be heard.

Ava, that doesn't quite sound like HPV, but I am not a OB/GYN, so what do I know.

Super happy right now. Took my truck in to get the oil changed and have it looked over since I never did that when I bought the truck and Meineke says the truck is really good shape. Only needed one service and that was for rear differential fluid, needed to be changed out. Hooray for not needing a shit ton of things done. *happy dance*

All I got was there's at least a couple people out there who have no business being therapists.

Gee, thanks, Amane.... That's what I've always wanted!

Oh, maybe it isn't then, Queenie.
Like I said, I don't know much about HPV at all. That's the only experience I have with anything remotely similar.

That's totally true, Citrus.

Boy, don't get me started on inept doctors! ....from med docs prescribing antidepressants without a single follow-up, to mental health therapists who use scare tactics and give poor advice!...I've had a little of it all, and now I avoid doctors whenever possible!

A major problem with health care is that so many doctors are overwhelmed with low income patients and they just don't have the time to give good personal care.
Everyone has the right and responsibility to themselves to get second opinions or change doctors if you aren't satisfied with your present one.
I have changed doctors because, as I put it to the next doc, "There is a BIG difference between hearing and listening...and my previous doc did NEITHER!"
....just milking Medicaid and the state funds!

Some mood eveners cause a fear of driving...please research any meds you take and don't dismiss symptoms that may seem harmless. Be educated about your health.

Nearly anyone who has ever been sexually active has the virus for genital warts....Thank you '70's, when unprotected sex was rampant!
Most don't even know they have it...so it is easy to pass on to unsuspecting partners.
I have had cryogenic procedures, where they freeze and remove abnormal tissue from my cervix, amongst other procedures, because of repeated abnormal pap smear results.

Shadami, please keep us informed on what you discover from test results..
I'm hoping its something that is easily treated!

Oh..by the way...I, too, am not, never have been, and never aspire to be a girlie girl! ...55 years!...why change, now? Lol! !

got the test. now sitting and waiting for results... the doctor that did the ultrasound was pretty much silent the entire time. except when i asked if there was anything glaringly obvious and their only reply was that they just took the pictures. the doctor would look at them....

listen lady. how many ultrasounds have you done. You should be able to answer if there is something OBVIOUSLY WRONG.

*is wondering when Shadami's test results are eexpected *
I know how easy it is for folks to tell ya not to worry about stuff like this...
Start a new hobby or read a book that absorbs your whole mind while you wait to hear if you need to worry or not...
I'm hoping it is something easily treated and you feel better real soon!

Well now...I was just getting used to the fish puns....now its horse puns?
....I hope y'all stirrup some good ones, cuz my brain seems to be on "horse-hiatus!" Lol!
