A fundamental principle of enslavement is to destroy any sense of belonging elsewhere. It's a universal point of slavery, it's horrible no matter where or who or when.
Ok, I'm done with this topic. A pissing contest over whose slavery was worse serves no purpose. Stand proud and never kneel again.

Not saying one is worse,
Just saying that by umbrella-ing slavery you minimize the impact it had on an entire group of people.
The fact is, the story of Dido Elizabeth Belle was very amazing and it's sad that a lot of white people to this date can't be excited for the fact that there was a black noble in 18th century Europe who was born into royalty because they feel that "black nobles weren't in short supply" or that there weren't any white nobles in African cultures.
That is minimizing the amazingness of Dido's story. The thing is, many white people today will never know how it feels to be treated as a second class citizen and have no legal rights or be targeted by police simply based on the color of their skin.
Black people have come a long way in history and have an amazing story of survival and bravery. Instead of trying to say "well, other people have been brave too" why not celebrate that black people did come a long way. Why not celebrate that black people have a story to tell? All throughout history their story has been buried underground and not shared with the world because of hate and color. Well, now is the time for black people to be proud of who they are and where they come from and it's sad that some people can't see it for what it really is.

Things League of Legends has done to me when I don't even play: this one 3DS game I'm playing has a status effect called Instakill, and I call it Pentakill.

Because they like to do the thing where they release a CI and then two more Mennies items to accompany it. You have to pay for it, so it's all CIs to me.
