Felt it was important to say this here and hope that you all understand.

After FoWN I will be taking a hiatus from Menewsha. After some choice posts by people that think they know best or know me, it has been apparent that my efforts with giveaways, selling CIs for a discounted price and over all friendliness is not needed here. I am nothing more than an exchange forum whore, to put it in my own words.
Kind of hurts since I have been here since 2007 and worked hard making friends with people here, getting to know them off of the site and tried my best to provide fun, worthwhile giveaways for the past few years.

Your friendship and continued posting of this thread is much appreciated. Much love to you all.

Had my feelings hurt and if it does seem like I am being a bit whiny, well guess what, I don't like hanging out where I am so very not wanted.

I don't think I have ever initiated a trade here, but I know that there are some folks that depend on the trades system to finance their Menewshan livelihood and the fact that the trades have been down for so long is hurting them.
I, personally, have been disappointed that the blogs feature went haywire with the new server update.
I fully understand why some folks might decide to leave Menewsha if the trades aren't fixed soon.
I am not saying that I think that staff is negecting the issue...just that I can see why some folks might leave.
I don't use the trades myself, unless someone gifts me something...I am here for the social aspect of the community.
I am sorry to hear that Queen will be leaving...though I don't know her well, I feel bad that her feelings were hurt enough to make her want to leave.
I think the server update borked more than some of Menewsha's threads and services. It seems to have put some folks on edge.
I hope the errors all get fixed soon and all Menewshans can go back to enjoying what they have enjoyed doing on Menewsha again.

The trade thing is but a small drop in the bucket of my discontentment with mene right now. I wish people would stop saying that's my reason for taking a break. There are so many things that have piled up to cause these feelings.

As I said in my previous post, I don't know Queen very well...therefore, I don't know what all has culminated to bring about your decision to leave.
It appears that you are feeling disrespected and taken for geanted...which never feels good.
I am sorry you are feeling hurt.
I imagine that folks will realize the asset you have been to Mene during your hiatus and will hope for your rapid return...absence makes the heart grow fonder and all.
Sometimes ya just need to take a break!
Just know that some folks will be sad about your absence!

Mene has been slow all around, actually.
I figure that folks are busy doing stuff to prepare for the holidays...shopping, decorating, cooking, baking, wrapping, travelling.
I hope we see the activity level increase soon.

The activity level should pick up when the event starts, hopefully the site will send out an e-mail a week in advance to notify the folks that aren't super active. Always nice to have a reminder, especially during the busy holiday season.

Inzane, my neck of the woods is on the Sun's ass. My husband and I reside in Mesa, Arizona. Summers are B R UTAL!

I have heard that Arizona summers are nearly unbearable.

Arizona summers are down right horrific at the best of times, there are good parts though, like the Monsoon season. The rain storms during Monsoon season are ridiculously fantastic. Rolling thunder that will shake the buildings, lightning and the sound of rain just pouring from the sky. I love it.

It has been a relatively mild Fall/Winter so far. Finally dropping into the mid 60's. We don't get much cold weather here, although the natives of Arizona like to think anything under 70 is FREEZING! Crazies.

Nope, Kirin, you were not a reason for my intended Hiatus. No worries there.

Desperately telling myself that I am not getting sick, looking like it will be a losing battle on my part though. Damn it.

Queenie you've been a wonderful friend to have in the time I've known you here. I'm sorry to see you go for that reason, but I can completely understand a need for a hiatus and a break and just to get your head on straight or whatever is going on. <3 I certainly will look forward to you coming back at some point in the future however long that takes. Even if its a 'hey this is what's going on in my life update.' <3

I'm sorry about not being in here and very talkative lately myself. Been being anti social and only dealing with behind the scenes stuff for the most part lately when i'm on Mene :/

As for the email, it should be going out shortly if it hasn't already. Unless the emails are still being dumb.... So consider this your heads up. ^^; we have been dropping some teasers about it in the hopes people would catch on. Like this hint for example :D

The Friday before 24th is the 22nd. So it's possible it starts then. ;)

Shadami, that's awesome you guys are "Dropping" hints, but that doesn't notify the people that aren't posting on the site. Will there be an announcement on Facebook about the event?

As far as I know there should be, but I don't control the facebook notifications. I assume you mean the people that aren't posting on the site? We are trying to get better with all of the social media stuff of course. I'm working on learning them myself to help out with all of that. ^^

I think we were traveling through a corner of Arizona on our way from Denver to Las Vegas one time when we encountered a lightning storm...my daughter was so amazed to watch the lightning hit the desert sand! It was a pretty cool occurrence to drive through.

Other than the blurb on the front page from the announcement two weeks ago, nothing else is mentioned about the impending event. Will there be an announcement made officially here on Menewsha to prep people for the start? Because lots of people do not post all over the site and might not see the hints that are being dropped, yet they see the front page when they sign in, or they check it for announcements.

Lightning here is pretty awesome to see. It streaks from cloud to cloud, or lights up clouds in front of it. Getting pictures of it never quite do it justice.

I live in Colorado where the mountaintops kiss the clouds and it can be downright dangerous to be outdoors during a lightning storm!

I rarely log out, so I rarely see the home page unless I purposely go there for some reason.
I did, however, stumble across a thread that told when the event would start and end, but I don't recall the name of the thread...it may have been in the announcements forum...I have been lurking all over the site out of boredom and lack of desire to say much.

There really aren't, Mon. Activity is way down. Hopefully the threads will pick up after Christmas is done and we head into the new year.

I think it's cause the emails aren't working so they couldn't send out the usual email.
