Good luck on the liquid diet, Queen!

Are you doing it for weight loss, or just for the procedure?
My mom did a 60 day juice fast once, which is kind of like a liquid diet I guess. She lost a lot of weight. But we make our own juice at home with a juicer, so it was very little sugar as she mostly juiced vegetables.

Maybe that might be helpful for your liquid diet?

I am doing the protein shakes. Gearing up for having the band adjusted on the twenty eighth of the month. It is for weight loss. I had the lapband done a few years ago and got sloppy about getting it adjusted regularly. It's been quite while since I had fluid added. It's not going to be good when I go in. Totally expecting a stern talking to.
Hoping that by starting the liquid diet now I can jump start the weight loss before the adjusting of the band. Done living at three hundred pounds, plus or minus ten pounds. Two hundred would be acceptable, but really trying for one hundred eighty.

I once tried a liquid diet - and it didn't work for me.
Then again, I really don't have any weight I need to lose.

I have been meaning to get a decent juicer as I love home made juice from fruits and veggies though! :]

I have a few pounds to definitely lose, one hundred and thirty is the current goal. After that I will do my best to tone myself down to the recommended one sixty four that is my suggested weight for my height. *sighs* Got me a long road, but it needs to be traveled.

Homemade juice is the BOMB.

My favorite concoction is kale, green apples and lemon. I really enjoy homemade juice. My mom makes it for me everyday. She sometimes gets creative and adds beets, cilantro, mint, watermelon, etc. It's sooo tasty!

In the summer we enjoy a tall glass of fresh watermelon juice with mint and lavender. It's sooo refreshing and surprisingly filling! If I drink even 16 oz of watermelon juice, I'm completely full for the next two hours!

Shadami, you should join the court! Make up your own title.

Veggies that are blended make me a bit green, pun intended. And I don't care what anyone says, yes! I can taste the kale and it's flat out disgusting. Would rather lick a homeless person's foot.

I love kale... D:
Even when it's not juiced it's delicious in salads! 8D

Sometimes when I go to the store and buy kale, I'll rip off some pieces and eat it on the way home. 8D

I don't like blended veggies or fruits. A juice machine makes it a thin, watery juice and leaves out the pulp so it's not like a smoothie where everything is mashed together. Yuck.

Of course, the only thing that is "bad" about juicing is that it leaves out pulp, which is where the fiber is. I mean, there's still some fiber in the juice, but the pulp is where the "really good stuff" is... So there's that. But I'd rather drink a fresh, thin juice than a goopy, veggie smoothie. The texture of smoothies that aren't blended completely smooth makes me gag.

I think I am going to invest in a juicer. It would save me some money.

Doing shots of wheat grass is pretty amazing. Definitely cleans you out, no joke.

I don't have the counter space for a juicer. Our apartment just isn't big enough. Hoping that we can get into something a bit bigger at the end of the year.

Ava, smoothies that aren't smooth are beyond disgusting. Gag. And come on! The colors they come out as sometimes reminds me of baby shit. Ick.

I love pulp!! <3 But it isn't for everyone. Everyone has something they don't enjoy - that just leaves more for us who love it! :]

Queen, you don't have to drink anything green or with Kale. No one is forcing you to drink anything you don't want to drink!

Starving right now, probably a good time to go drink the second protein shake I brought today. Just down it as fast as I can.

I've never tried juicing anything. But i'm kind of interested. I want to figure out a way to get more veggies into my system cause i really just... hate veggies. Been doing spinach scrambled eggs. and an occassional salad. And I LOVE fruit. but i'm not eating any cause i hate that they go bad so fast in my area. seriously.. i think there is something wrong with the air in this house.
and my mom takes up 3/4 of the fridge for just herself so I don't have room to put anything in the fridge.

I can't wait to move. UGH.

but as far as juicers go. what do you suggest? I got a smoothie blender, and a puree machine. Though the smoothies i'm just getting into .. I'm lactose intolerant so milk is a problem. and i hate yogurt. but i've found i like the lime pie yogurt. so maybe there is a flvaoring i can add to plain yogurt to make me like it.

Depends on what kind of pulp it is, or how thick for me.

I have two juicers. One is a Breville or something, and the other is a cold press juicer.

The cold press is easier to use and makes more juice with less pulp. My parents say its easier to clean, but I doubt that. x.x

This is the one that I have, the cold press one.

I am not fond of raw kale. It's a bit to bitter for my taste.

I'm... pretty sure that's what I'm remembering o.o

isn't it what what's her face in my neighbor totoro boiled for her bento box lunch for school?
perhaps I'm remebering something else that had made me want to try kale and when i couldn't find it at the store was dissapointed.

All this kale talk makes me want an artery clogging cheese burger with bacon on it. Yum! But I am sticking to my protein shakes and trying to be a good girl. Soup does good for lunch though.

Kale is so tasty!
It can be bitter sometimes, but I heard if you try something you don't like 10 times then the 11th time you try it, you'll like it.

I used to hate beans, oatmeal, broccoli and green olives.
But I tried them all a few times and now I like them! :D

I haven't had a cheeseburger since early 2013. O_O
