I don't eat meat and I'm lactose intollerant - that's the only reason I've not had one in so long.

I have been trying to cut back on my cheese intake lately.
I don't eat meat, so there's no burger, but I used to love veggie burgers. I still do, but not with cheese. :o

I love the Gardenburger chipotle kind. :D

I'm pretty sure I'm lactose intolerant too.

I noticed when I stopped eating cheese, I was pooping a lot more and a lot more easily too. I used to go weeks with maybe one poop if I was lucky, but now without cheese I poop multiple times every day.

Also for some reason whenever I eat a lot of cheese, it gives me really, really bad gas and I end up bloating so much that I look pregnant! :O

It was weird because last year I could eat tons of cheese and be completely okay and I didn't bloat or get gas, but after I stopped eating cheese for longer than a month, then went back to eating cheese, I noticed I would get so bloated and I had such horrible gas. It was crazy. I don't know if that's happening because I haven't had cheese in a while or if it's been happening but I just didn't notice it.

Hey baby steps my friend. Eveyr healthy choice counts. And if you have a cheat day don't beat yourself up. Just tell yourself it was a bad day and do better the next day.

Really it's about all things in moderation. Don't completely cut tings out of your life that you enjoy.Because when you fall off the wagon you will far hard. Like if you really like sweets allow yourself sweets one day a week. You can do that with anything. I only allow myself pop one day a week.

My dad called me today to say that he got genetically tested and he is a carrier for the Alzheimer/Dementia gene and that I should get tested since my uncle has full blown Dementia and he is Seventy. Looks like I will be getting the test here pretty soon to find out. If I am predisposed to it, well, smoke 'em if you got them I guess.

And I see that they have announced an event dealing with flowers. Interesting. We'll see how much I really participate, if this will be a full event or one of their mini events.

I went cold turkey. Got super sick and by the time I felt better two, almost three weeks later, I didn't crave the smoking or really miss it.

I've never smoked. But my grandfather was addicted to all sorts of drugs, (though his favorite was cocaine) and one day he said, "I'm going to stop" and he just did. That was the end of it. He just made up his mind and he never smoked again.

But he did drink, in fact it was drinking that ended up killing him. :|

I quit cold turkey. When I want to quit. >.> than i usually pick it up a year later for another couple months and than quit cold turkey again. i refuse to let myself get to more than a pack a week. If it starts going that way i just quit cold trukey. Right now i'm in my not smoking phase :D

My dad quit drinking beer after mom put in him jail for domestic violence. I was seven-ish and she was pregnant with my brother at the time. I remember that day so clearly.
We were coming home pretty late, it was around one or two in the morning, from a party at my aunt's house. Dad started getting mouthy and handsy with mom while driving us home. My mom ended up getting him to pull over at a gas station where she called the cops and they took him to jail.
Luckily he sobered up and he's been the best dad I could ever ask for since. He's also a really great husband to my mom. I'm really glad he quit, because I honestly think things could have gotten worse for us.

Although, he is able to drink his tequila shots, but it doesn't have a huge affect on him like beer does.

Root beer is good when it's ice cold. But only a few sips. The taste is too strong for my taste.

I just rather not drink it if I don't have to, but I do get cravings.
