The messes aren't always fun - that's true, but it really is about spending time with a happy family and two girls who enjoy it... that makes it all worth it. <3 We'll have two little mess makers for quite a few years to come. <3

That's so sweet, and I think that is a wonderful perspective to have as a parent ^_^ <3 your children are so lucky to have such loving and understanding parents :D

We do our best with them. I know too that Alex wants more than the two... we're waiting. It's a running joke between us that if he had his way I'd be barefoot and pregnant. (He doesn't deny it. XDD!)

What do you mean by barefoot, Livi? (I think I understand the joke but just wanted to make sure) ^_^

Oh like not working - just a stay at home mom, who doesn't need shoes because she stays at home with the kids. (Not literally for us, it's more us joking about it because we both do want more than the two kids.) And if I'm not making much sense, sorry - it's been a long day.

Oh no worries at all Livi <3 that is a very cute joke <3 that you would not need shoes anymore while at home with the kids ^_^

since you mentioned that you both want more than two kids, do you mind if I ask -- how many children do you want? and when do you plan to have a third one?

The funny thing is - I actually do hate wearing shoes. :P

We want to wait awhile before Baby #3 - at least waiting until Sweet Pea is 4 or 5. But we'll see how things go. As for how many kids we want - we've brought up the idea of 3, possibly 4. It all depends on where our life takes us. :)

Do you mind if I ask -- are you hoping for any specific sex or gender for your third and/or fourth child? Obviously, it's not really a matter of choice I guess unless people go the in vitro fertilization route but was just curious ^_^

and that is good, sounds like you two are super responsible *nods*

and yay for bare feet

We really have no control over it - I do want a boy. But if we end up having a third or fourth girl... so be it! Alex will just be REALLY out numbered. ;)

Haha indeed he will be! Not that it would necessarily be a bad thing :P

I would like at least one girl and at least one boy too *nods* someday in the future

We were hoping that our second would a boy, but we had our sweet little sweet pea instead. And we love her oh so much despite her messy eating habits. :P

He already is outnumbered actually! :P And even if we did have a boy, they'd still be out numbered. ;) LOL!

Haha, very true :) that's okay though!

I have quite a few friends who have five children in their family. And I also have friends who believe that everyone should have at least one brother and at least one sister :) which would mean at least two boys and at least two girls

The way I see it - is there's no way to know for sure which gender one is going to have... so why does it really matter because if you have expectations of wanting ONE boy and ONE girl or so on and so forth - there is a high probability that you're going to be let down. Because it's all in the genes and we have no control over that. Either way the child will be yours and your partners and they should be loved unconditionally either way. :)

I'd love to have a boy and a girl myself *someday*, but you do make an excellent point Livi.

Also, good morning y'all~

I always saw myself having a boy... technically I did - he wasn't mine though. (He was the little boy I was a surrogate for.) Absolutely no control over over the genders of our daughters - and oh dear lord, I love my girls. SO MUCH! The only way to know for sure is to adopt - and boy, that's an expensive endeavor. I know the boys have been discussing adopting another kid... but it's still in the discussion phase for them at this point.

Good morning to you too Laurelle! <3 although it is already afternoon where I am, heheh

Livi does make a great point *nods* I know that regardless of my future children's sex, gender, etc I will love them a lot <3 and wow, that is so nice that you were a surrogate <3 if you don't mind my asking, who was the family you were surrogating for?

The boys - that I refer to from time to time - is the couple I was the surrogate for. Jon and Greg - Jon was my twin's boyfriend when my twin was still with us, and I got back in touch with Jon, and got to know him again and met Greg and I know that they really wanted to be fathers... I offered, after talking to Al about it. (I had three men hovering over me for that whole pregnancy. Exhausting, I tell ya!) LOL!

Ahh okay you did mention the boys and their child, but I didn't make the connection until just now. That's so wonderful that you did that for them ^_^ *nods* how old is their son now?

I keep forgetting that not everyone was around when I was pregnant with Benji so they don't know who I mean when talking about "The Boys" Benji (Benjamin Oliver) is 3 on the 19th of February. He's right between my girls - Sophia (my youngest) was a surprise baby - we weren't trying to get pregnant when I got pregnant with her. (We were planning a break to give my body a break... which is what we're doing now.

Thank you for sharing that with me ^_^ it sounds like you keep in close contact with the boys and as well as their (and your?) son ^_^

How did you figure out that you were pregnant with Sweetpea? (sorry! I don't know if that's a dumb question because I've never been pregnant before -- did you just notice some weight gain? or missed a period?)

I'm Benji's godmother. :) He's fully their son, no genetic connection to me at all. I was just the one who carried him, so we have that connection.

It was actually Alex who put two and two together. But the main one was severe morning sickness - worse than that with Benji or Becca. I was cranky, tired and sick. Alex came home with a test and handed it to me. I denied it.. I had thought possibly being pregnant, but at the same time I just thought I was under the weather, I had a cold at the same time that we found out and it felt like me just being sick..., but didn't think we were pregnant. And.... now we have a little mess bug who's my shadow, poor girl is as clumsy as me. (My mom laughs at me over that - but in my defense, I act moody, tired and yucky when I'm sick too... lol)

Ah, I see *nods* although I think even without any genetic connection, he did receive nutrients and antibodies from you and all ^_^ that is a wonderful connection too

Aww well sounds like it was a happy accident in the end, which is all that matters <3

Hi Fuu-Chan! I wasn't familiar with the term oil pulling so I went ahead and looked it up. It sounds pretty cool. I'm reading that it could improve oral and dental health. May I ask what your experience has been like with oil pulling?

I don't know what you mean
By my "experience."
I have horrid dental health. I always have to get fillings.
And I am sick of it. I mouth breath which could be part of my posture of being in active too and I do oil pulling to improve my teeth and not be self conscious of it.
