That's a good point, Fuu-Chan. Fractions and measurements definitely sound like qualifications for a fabric store job. I wonder what other qualifications they would look for. Maybe things like interpersonal communication?

Pretty much what any store wants.
Being able to lift a certain amount in lbs, having social skills, etc

That sounds about right. No requirements for GED or degree, right? But I guess it is good to start somewhere <3

You know what's great? Cats. You know what's not great and is actually terrifying? Dogs.

I agree that cats are great, but don't you think puppies are adorable <3

I remember your saying that you're scared of both, though?

They say you need it but it's actually a cover. No one really needs a degree for retail or working at a fabric store.
But social skills are important because you are working with people and helping customers.

Of course. That doesn't sound like a degree field! How silly.

I have a rice cooker at home, so I just wash a bunch of rice, put it in the rice cooker with water, and it does the rest of the work for me :D

I've been thinking of investing in a rice cooker.
I hear you can cook lots of things in a rice cooker, like beans, lentils, rice, etc.

I have a recipe for vegan chili using red lentils and some other stuff I can't remember right now and it requires a rice cooker, but it can also be done in a pot.

That's how they work. My rice is stove rice.

I made rice the other day. It was brown rice.
It took forever to cook, though, I feel like brown rice always takes forever to cook.

I don't trust brown rice.

Why not, Amane? :o
It's just as tasty as white rice, except it's kind of grainier.

You can cook the brown rice until it's nice and soft ^_^

I do recommend investing in a rice cooker!

I love brown rice. :D

I like getting it at Chipotle and making it myself for meals.
I made a pot of vegetarian chili last Saturday and my mom said, "This would be excellent with some rice!" So I made a pot of brown rice too and she was right! IT WAS SO GOOD.

I think I'm going to save up some money to buy a rice cooker, though.
That would make it much easier for me to cook other things at the same time.

Vegetarian chili sounds good! What do you put in it?

Amane, to each their own :) I like white rice too, although I usually eat it with things

We should do a Gold Mountain posting contest event again. That was magical.

It was really good, salvete!

I added diced tomatoes, black beans, kidney beans, green, red and yellow bell peppers, cilantro and onion. :D

I got the recipe from Whole Foods' website.

My mom and I actually would buy vegetarian chili from our local co-op and we realized we were spending a lot of money on something I could probably cook myself at home. So I decided to make it over the weekend and it was awesome! So from now on I'm going to make it myself, unless I just so happen to be at the co-op and I'm hungry or something.
