Reilly mixed up drinks for them and handed one over to Aurora. "Here you go. Let me know when you're ready for more." She flopped in her own seat, turning on the TV for some background noise.

Steve essentially paced the apartment while Bucky took his shower. It wasn't really working off his frustrations, but it made him feel a teensy bit better.

Aurora didn't reply, just taking a long sip from her drink and settling in again.

Bucky finally came back out in a pair of sweats, hair still damp.

"Your turn," he murmured.

Steve nodded and made his way into the bathroom. He took some time showering, scrubbing himself very clean before emerging again. But even then he couldn't properly settle.

A little while after Steve had gotten out of the shower, there was a knock on the door. Natasha and Clint waited outside patiently, Clint holding a small styrofoam cooler full of dinner for the four of them. They had gone over when Bucky had contacted Nat to tell her what had happened.

Steve opened the door for them, sighed, and let them in.

"Bucky called you?"

"He called," Natasha said, going inside. "I decided it was best to drop in." She tilted her head towards the kitchen, silently telling Clint to go take care of the contents of the cooler. "Tell me what happened."

"We were caught out by the girls," Steve told her after a moment, sitting heavily in a chair. "Things had been going well for us, too. But they were... Shocked. Horrified." His smile was bleak. "I don't know if we'll hear from them again."

"I see." Natasha was quiet for a moment, thinking it over. "Give them some time to make peace with it. If they did not immediately try to kill you, I think you still have a chance."

Steve chuckled mirthlessly. "Maybe," he agreed quietly. "I'm willing to wait and see. Can't get much worse than it is."

"Give it some time," Natasha said. She settled onto the couch. "We brought dinner, so help yourself. You'll feel better for it."

Steve sighed but didn't go get any yet. He did, however, make sure to go tell Bucky because Bucky hadn't been eating much.

Natasha just settled in to keep an eye on the two of them.

"Not hungry," Bucky muttered when Steve told him there was dinner. It wasn't necessarily the truth, but he just wasn't in the mood for anything, no matter how long it had been.

Steve sighed. "Gonna have to eventually," he said, as much to himself as to Bucky.

"Don't want anything," Bucky muttered, shaking his head a bit. "Maybe she'll have me if I go on a diet."

Steve huffed. "Maybe," he muttered. "Won't help you right now though." But he didn't actually argue further, instead just settling in there for now.

Bucky made a vague, neutral noise and just stayed where he was. He didn't feel like moving or doing anything, not for a while.

Elsewhere, Aurora had abandoned her drink in favor of curling up around a pillow and staring into space. She was still trying to process what had happened.

Reilly was coping better, and she was at least actually functional. So she made sure that Aurora didn't kill herself or anything.

"Well. Gotta admit, I never saw that one coming," she muttered as she flopped down next to Aurora.

"I don't understand, there were no signs," Aurora said, moving over to make space for her sister. "None."

"Nope." Reilly sighed. "Which either means we don't know everything, or they're excellent at hiding. Or both."

"Both is definitely possible," Aurora murmured. She hugged the pillow tighter. "I don't know what to do."

"Well then, I'll be a good sounding board," Reilly said, getting comfortable. "Tell me what you're thinking, what your options might be."

"How are you even okay with this?" Aurora asked, sitting up and looking at her. "Why aren't you, I don't know, upset? They lied to us."

Reilly was quiet for a moment. "On the one hand, I am upset," she said. "But I wasn't quite as attached to Bucky as you to Steve, so it's a bit easier for me to take a step back. I can understand why they lied. Sort of."

"I don't know how I'm supposed to handle this," Aurora said. She clutched the pillow tightly. "We hunt vampires. And now..."

"And now two guys we were interested in are vampires." Reilly's smile was brittle. "Yeah. I know. And they fooled us."
