Steve grinned a bit at that. "I'm not here all the time, and when I am, it's usually pretty early," he told her. "I like to go jogging in the mornings."

"Ah, you're one of those," Aurora said, grinning a bit. "Morning person. I see now."

"More like I don't sleep," Steve said with a bit of a grin. "Not much, anyway. Don't need much sleep." That, at least, was pretty true.

"An, an insomniac, then," Aurora said. "My cousin is kind of like that, he sleeps the most ridiculous hours sometimes." A bit of an understatement when it came to Tony, but not untrue.

Steve grinned. "So you're familiar with the ways of the insomniacs," he said playfully. "Good to know. I still try not to text people at crazy hours, most people get grumpy when I do that."

Aurora raised an eyebrow a bit, teasingly.

"Oh really?" she said. "And you think you'll be texting me?"

Steve snorted quietly. "Well, I have no idea," he replied with a bit of a grin. "Guess that depends if you want me to or not."

Aurora gave him a scrutinizing look.

"Will it get me more coffee?" she asked teasingly, grinning.

"Maybe," Steve teased right back. "If that's what form of bribery you accept then yes." He grinned at her.

"I think we can work something out," Aurora said, grinning. "Let me see your phone."

Steve handed over the phone without hesitation. For one thing, there was nothing she could do that he couldn't undo if necessary, and for another, he would probably already do just about anything she asked.

Aurora turned the phone over in her hands for a moment.

"Nice phone," she commented. Then she put her name and number into the contacts list and handed it back to him.

"Thanks." Steve grinned and sent her a quick text. "Now you've got my number too." He looked quite pleased.

"Good to know," Aurora said, grinning a bit. She took out her phone, checked the text quickly, and then put her phone back into her pocket.

Steve grinned a bit at that. "So, I'm guessing you're pretty local," he said. "Or do you commute here just because the coffee is that good?"

"No, I don't live too far from here," Aurora replied, shrugging a little. "Close enough to walk."

Steve nodded. "Yeah, I don't live too far from here, with my best friend. We've been living together for... Oh, feels like forever."

"I live with my sister," Aurora replied. She grinned. "And our crazy cousin drops in all the time."

Steve snickered. "Oh, crazy cousin, sounds very entertaining. I love crazy cousins."

"Oh it's very entertaining sometimes," Aurora said, nodding. "Though not so much when he has one of his insomniac episodes, then things just get a little weird."

Steve nodded. "Yeah, my friend has occasional insomnia, he tends to get very grumpy when that happens," he agreed. "Hopefully your cousin doesn't get you into too much trouble when he has his bouts of insomnia?"

"Not recently," Aurora replied, taking a sip of her coffee. She grinned. "Though he somehow installed an AI into a toaster, once, that was an adventure."

"He... what?" Steve blinked a few times at that, because that just did not make sense. "AIs aren't even available for people, how did he get his hands on one?"

"My cousin went to MIT," Aurora hedged, with a bit of a sheepish grin. "He made one. It's not particularly bright, but still, it's an AI."

Steve nodded. That made sense. Sort of. He could tell there was more to that story but he wasn't going to push that.

"So, you've got a sister and a crazy insomniac cousin. Any crazed ex-boyfriends going to come after me that I should be aware of?" he asked playfully.
