"Oh please I've been hurt before." Alex got the bedrolls out. "Come on lets start a fire." he went to touch the would Lori had collect but stopped short when she hissed at him.

"Get your own." Lori snapped dragging her pile over. "I don't think we could disappoint him more then we already have." she sighed starting a fire with difficulty. 'Come on." she pouted.

Rosemary opened her mouth, then closed it, and nodded. "Yeah, I guess that's true." She knelt down to help start their fire, keeping one eye on the brothers. Specifically, the younger.

Cal rolled his eyes. "It's alright, we have our own." He took some dry wood out of his pack- he had collected it earlier just in case- and a fire starter, and started up their fire. He had no trouble doing so, which made him smirk slightly at Lori's troubles.

Lori glared right back then blinked as Alex snatched the fire starter and walked over.

"Here." Alex helped start there fire. "You'll freeze without it." he headed back over to his brother but not before glancing at Rose.

Cal's jaw dropped. "Alex!" He scolded, though there was nothing he could do about it. "Sit down, you fool, before you get hurt again." He said instead.

Rosemary looked up to meet his gaze, looking both shocked and grateful. "Thank you." She said, not bothering to keep it quiet.

"Your welcome." Alex smiled as he sat down ignoring his brothers protests.

Lori stuck her to huge out at Cal before settling into her bed roll.

Cal rolled his eyes. Lowering his voice so that the princesses couldn't hear him, he spoke to his brother. "Alex, you're not making it easy to forget...whatever I'm feeling about that woman." He whispered. "Why did you help them?"

Rosemary followed suit, settling into her own bedroll. She glanced over at the two men, and found herself blushing softly as she laid eyes on the younger brother. No, this is wrong. He's hunting us. I can't feel this way about him. She scolded herself.

"because there better off in perfect health then coughing and shivering." Alex glared at him. "They maybe are target but we can still be nice."

Lori stared at the fire lost in thought.

Cal groaned softly. "I don't think I can do this, Alex." He said, his voice barely audible. "I can't be nice to her without revealing everything. I've never been in this situation before...what do I do?"

Rosemary could tell Lori was still awake. "Sis?" She whispered, returning to the nickname she'd used as a kid. "What are you thinking?" She asked.

"Thats fires are pretty." Lori smiled. "What are you thinking about?"

"Like I'm suppose to know?" Alex sighed. "To be honest I think i like the younger one."

Rosemary made a face. "I'm thinking something I shouldn't be thinking. I'm thinking something you'd get mad at me for." She answered.

Cal met his brother's gaze and sighed. "Then we're both royally screwed." He said.

"Please never say that again." Alex groaned. "That sounded so wrong."

"Your thinking of going home?" Lori joked.

Cal groaned, rolling his eyes. "Leave it to you. I thought I was supposed to be the dirty one." He teased.

"No." Rosemary's voice was serious. "The younger brother. I still don't trust him fully, but...he was kind to me before, when I waited on him. He was sweet and awkward and shy...and he's cute. He's not acting like the older one. I...think I like him."

"YOU WHAT!?" Lori screeched louder then she meant to. She slapped a hand over her mouth and glared at her sister. "Of all the foolish things...you couldn't have fallen for someone else?"

Alex laughed. "I know but thats all I could think of when you said it."

Rosemary flinched, ducking her head into her bedroll. "I'm sorry." She whimpered, on the verge of tears. "I didn't mean to. I never thought...I didn't want this."

Cal chuckled, starting a little when one of the sisters yelled out. He raised an eyebrow at Alex. "What do you suppose they're talking about?" He asked.

"Not a clue. Maybe they saw a spider?" Alex suggested with a smirk.

"I know you didn't mean to." Lori sighed. "I'm sorry I yelled...we'll figure it out. I promise."

Cal snorted. "Yeah, maybe." He sighed. "Let's get some sleep. We'll figure out what to do next in the morning."

Rosemary sniffled. "Okay...it's okay." She said. "I knew you'd be upset."

"Yeah." Alex passed out to tired to care right at that point.

"I'm not upset per say. I'm more worried about you." Lori sighed. "lets get some sleep and figure it out when my brain is working."

Lori woke before anyone else and went for a short walk to think.

Alex woke with a groan. "Ow." he grumbled sitting up.

Rosemary got up next, woken by Alex's groan. On a whim, she went over to see if he was alright. "Good morning. Are you okay?" She whispered, not wanting to wake his brother.

"I've had worse." Alex smiled up at her. "And that's the truth. It's more sore then anything at this point."

Lori was working on her walk when a hand grabbed her. She went to scream but a hand covered her mouth. A hand she recognized all to well, "don't worry my Lady it's only me." She turned to see a tall well built man with Brown hair and dark blue eyes. "Elliot." she stared at him in shock wondering how he had found them so fast.

Rosemary smiled back. "That's good. I...was really worried about you. When you got hurt." She glanced away. "The horse that got spooked...we saw the bird that spooked it. She was yours, wasn't she?"

"Do not answer that question." Cal said, sitting up. He had woken to Rosemary's question and didn't like that she was asking. Seeing that the older sister was gone, he stood up. "I'm going out. If you're going to hang around, girl, then make yourself useful and check his wounds." He snapped before leaving.

Alex stuck his tongue out at his brother and turned to Rose. "Ignore him, he's just being a idiot and yes the bird was mine. Her name is Cleo...horses don't like her.' he chuckled.

Elliot pulled away once he sensed Lori wouldn't yell or run. "What happened my Lady? Why are you running? Who are the ones following you?" "You know why I run and as for the ones that follow...there just hunters." Lori frowned. "Are you going to take us back?" "Of course my lady." Elliot frowned. "I will go without a fight if you leave my sister alone." Lori was ready to fight him if he insisted on taking them both. "Alright my Lady." Elliot sighed and let her lead the way towards her horse.

Rosemary rolled her eyes. "I think we're past secrets at this point." She said. "So, Cleo huh? She's very pretty. Have you had her long?" She added.

Observing from the shadows, Cal narrowed his eyes. He took a risk and stepped out onto the path behind them. "So that's it? You're just going to leave without telling her? Well, I guess it makes things easier for me, anyway. Without you around, your sister won't even put up a fight." He addressed Lori.

Elliot turned and reached for his sword only to gasp when Lori knocked him over the head. "You know nothing about me." She headed for the cave. "We need to go." she pulled there things together.

Alex blinked. "Did we miss something?"
