Cal looked over at his brother, who had plunked down next to him and fallen asleep. He chuckled and continued eating, shaking his head slightly. Alex was not a morning person like Cal was. He glanced up to see the older sister looking over at them, and gave her an easy, welcoming smile.

Rosemary was next into the room, cleaned and dressed and ready for the day. As she approached the table where her sister was seated, she noticed the man from the day before nearby, apparently asleep, next to another man. She had to smile just a little bit- she hated mornings as much as anyone. She just happened to be in a good mood that day. She sat down next to Lori. "Good morning."She said. "I'm pretty sure that man is flirting with you."

Lori snorted and glared at him eyes telling him to go to hell. "He can flirt all he want but if he thinks I'm going to flirt back he can bite himself." Just then breakfast appeared and she dug in with gusto.

Cal raised an eyebrow, slightly amused at the princess's reaction. So, she was going to be difficult, then. He smiled. Good. I do like a challenge.

Rosemary rolled her eyes and chuckled. That was just like her sister. "Well, okay, you should be on your guard, but don't close yourself off completely. New life, new opportunities...he's not that bad looking, either. Just a thought." She said, digging in to her meal as well.

"I did not escape one guy to start dating another." Lori bite out glaring at her eggs which would have started bleeding if looks could kill. "So he can chase me all he wants...don't forget though I know how to handle a dagger." she smirked. "I will ruin him."

Rosemary couldn't help but smile. "Yeah, you're right." She laughed. "I almost feel bad for the guy, if he starts trying to go after you."

"You have my back right?" Lori glanced at her sister already knowing the answer. "This food is really great." she changed subjects randomly as she nibbled on her bacon.

When there food appeared Alex raised his head and dug in still half asleep.

Rosemary nodded. "Of course, always." She said without hesitation. Following the change of subject without question, she tried the bacon. "Yeah, it is. Probably the best breakfast I've ever had."

Cal chuckled and started eating his meal. Leave it to Alex, he though, to wake up for food. The boy could be so predictable- at least, to Cal he was. Other people wouldn't know him well enough to predict him.

"I wish we knew how to cook." Lori frowned a little. "It would make things easier."

"We could learn." Rosemary said. "I'll bet it'll be easy for you. I always imagined that you'd be a great cook."

Lori blushed softly and stared at the table. "Who would teach me though?" she wondered then sighed. "I'll figure something out."

Alex sighed happily. "I'm better now." he glanced at his brother. "Morning."

"Well, if we get jobs here, maybe the innkeeper will teach you." Rosemary suggested. The did need jobs now that they weren't princesses anymore.

Cal chuckled, chewing on his last piece of bacon. "Good morning, little brother." He said. "I've made a discovery about the elder princess. She's not open to courtship, which means a challenge. And you know how I love a challenge." He smiled, looking like he was suddenly having a lot more fun.

"Just be careful." Alex sighed. "If you push to hard she'll be harder to get."

"Maybe." Lori didn't want to get her hopes up. "We need to get jobs first."

Cal waved a hand. "I already know that, Alex. That's what makes it so fun. I have to find more subtle ways of getting her to trust me." He said.

"Well then, after we finish eating we should ask about jobs." Rosemary said. "We won't get them without trying, after all."

"I know you'll manage it. Just protect your lower region for a while." Alex smirked at his brother.

"Your right of course." Lori finished eating. "Let's do this." she stood and took a deep breath before going over to the innkeeper. "Are there any jobs available. "We need a waitress." she blinked at them.

Cal chuckled. "Very funny." He said. "Completely true, though. She seems like the type who would kick first and ask questions never."

Rosemary stood next to her sister- not behind her, as she had always been taught, but directly next to her- as they asked about jobs. "Just one waitress?" She asked, wondering which of them would take that job if it was the only one.

"The seamstress might need a hand, or the herbalist." The innkeeper shrugged. "You take this job Jinny. I'll just keep asking around." Lori smiled at her sister.

"The younger one seems to be a cheerful person." Alex sighed. "I'll have to be careful to. I have a feeling she's like her sister under that smile."

Rosemary blushed slightly. She had forgotten that she had chosen that name for herself. "Are you sure, Sarah? I don't mind if you take it." She said, remembering that her sister had chosen another name, as well.

"Possibly. It's going to be interesting, I can tell." Cal said, watching the girls out of the corner of his eye. They were talking to the innkeeper, though he couldn't tell what they were talking about.

"I'm sure...you know why." Lori smirked a little. "I'll try else where." "Well girl go get a apron on and get to work." the innkeeper handed her one. "The rush will be coming in soon." Lori left her sister to her work and headed outside looking around for a moment she headed for the seamstress hoping she would need help.

"Looks like there getting jobs." Alex observed watching the innkeeper thrust a apron to the younger sister. "should we split up?" he asked as the older headed outside.

Rosemary nodded. "Okay. Good luck!" She said, smiling at Lori before taking the apron and putting it on. She had watched the cooks enough times to know how it was supposed to look, so she got it without help.

Cal nodded. "Yeah, might as well. No need to make one of them nervous with both of us here." He stood up to go after the older one. "I'm sure I made a bad impression yesterday, so having the younger one waiting on me is a bad idea. I'll head off."

"Luck." Alex smiled at his brother watching as the innkeeper thrust four mugs of beer into the girls arms and point to a table with four knights. This had his guard up, if even one of them regonized the girl they would drag her back to the castle whither she wanted to go or not.

Lori headed to the seamstress only to be disappointed to learn that she needed no help. She sighed and scanned the town frowning at her choices. Farmer, herder or herbalist. She didn't think she had the stomach to kill sheep or birth babies that left her with farming, or milling. It was as she headed for a flower shop that she smelled something sweet. Following her nose she found a bakery. She stared at all the breads and desserts finally walking in when someone bumped into her. She studied the woman kneading bread who smiled at her. She introduced herself and asked if the woman might need help, the woman said that yes she needed help with the cleaning. Lori didn't mind doing that as long as she could smell the desserts every day.

Rosemary took the mugs and went to the table she had been assigned. It took everything she had to keep from running away when she realized it was a table full of knights. Putting on a cheerful smile, she brought them their beer.

Cal followed the older princess from a safe distance. Stalking his target once again made him smile. He was good at this. He watched her go into the bakery and not leave for a good while. Seeing through the window that the girl was helping to clean up, he realized that she had gotten herself a job. Good...now I know where she works. It would be easy to arrange a few "chance" meetings with this knowledge in hand.

"Hurry up girl." The older knight glared at her. "We're dying." "Oh leave the girl alone Jake." One of the others sighed. "She is pretty though." The third smirked his eyes roaming over her body.

Lori started her work glad to be doing something.

Rosemary sped up as much as she could without spilling the drinks, setting them in front of the knights. "Apologies, gentlemen. Please enjoy." She said with a small smile, trying to ignore the way they looked at her.

Seeing that the princess wasn't going to be leaving the bakery anytime soon, Cal decided to go for a walk. He would come back later, he thought, and stop into the bakery to buy something for his little brother. She seemed like the type to appreciate caring for a younger sibling.

"What's your name?" The one who was examining her asked. "Mine's Adam." he grinned at her.

Alex frowned at the knights and started to inch closer in case he was needed.

Keeping her polite smile on, she angled herself slightly so that she could run if she had to. "It's Ginny, thank you for asking." She said kindly. "I'm sorry, but I really should get back to work. Lots of tables, lots of customers to take care of."
