"Saw what? Him enjoying his freedom from Harley?" Lori huffed glaring at the ceiling.

Gemini sighed and told Lori everything. Every encounter where he'd acted strangely for a moment, leading up to that very day when she'd seen a room that was basically a tribute to Harley. "I swear he misses her. It's...really strange to think about." She finished.

"The way he treated her...no he just wishes he had killed her." Lori refused to believe Joker that had been sweet on her sister even though the evidence was everywhere. After all there years together he had never done more then abuse her, lord knew he had plenty of chances to kill her but he hadn't.

Gemini decided not to argue further, knowing it wouldn't do any good. "Hey Lori? I'm still bleeding, and I'm starting to get dizzy. Could you help me to the hospital?"

Lori thought about it for a while. 'Nah. I'm sure it will stop bleeding soon enough." she handed her a rag. "Use this." she examined her. "I may have broken it." She sighed. "Fine lets get you to the hospital." she grabbed her keys. Good thing I have my car with me."

Gemini took the rag gratefully, trying to stem the blood flow. "Really good thing. I don't think I could make it there walking." She said, stumbling even as she tried to leave the room.

Lori rolled her eyes and helped her to the car driving to the hospital. "What happened?" the doctor asked. "She got in a fight." Lori smirked.

Gemini glanced at Lori and rolled her eyes. "Yeah, it was this slimy older guy trying to make moves on me. I turned him away and...well, he's in worse shape than I am. But I think my nose is broken." She said, taking over answering questions.

"Alright lets get you taken care of." The doctor lead the way. Lori decided to stay and wait after a while the doctor came back. "She's all fixed up. We are giving her some pain killers and she's going to need to rest." Lori nodded and turned to look at Gemini.

Gemini looked pale and tired, and her nose was all bandaged up, but otherwise she was fine. She smiled and gave Lori a thumbs-up. She thanked the doctor again and then turned back to Lori. "It was broken in two places." She said. "Almost like you managed to punch me twice in one moment." She added this only after the doctor left.

Lori smirked a little. "Maybe I did" she spotted a sign of the upcoming gala that would be used to raise money for the hospital. She thought of Bruce and scowled wishing he would stop interrupting her thoughts.

Gemini raised an eyebrow at Lori's sudden mood change and looked to see what had caused it. The sign was the obvious answer. "Do you want to go and crash the party? Or just enjoy the party?" She asked.

"A little bit of both would be good." Lori admitted. "It will take my mind off of whats happened."

Gemini smiled and linked her arm with Lori's. "Then let's do exactly that. We'll get some nice dresses and shoes and do out hair, and we'll go and feel good for a night."

"your little nose accessory will bring it all together." Lori teased pulling her to the car. "We'll go in the morning. You need rest and juice." she found her mind thinking about what kind of dress Bruce would like and scowled.

Gemini rolled her eyes. "I'll be able to take this off by the time we go." She said. "But yeah, rest and juice sound good. And you need rest, too." It had been a long day for both of them.

"Agreed." Lori nodded then stepped on the breaks when they reached the apartment building. "What the hell?" the whole building was on fire and there was a pile of burnt objects against the building. "For once I can honestly say I didn't do it...all Harleys things where in there." she jumped out of the car bending the fire to her will she began to climb the fire escape to Harleys floor determined to save something.

Gemini was right behind her. Though her control over fire was less potent than Lori's, she had enough to help out. "Save whatever you can!" She called over the roar of the blaze as they entered the apartment.

Lori got the pictures and a few other things she wanted before getting out pulling Gemini alone. "What the hell happened?" she fumed as the firetrucks arrived.

Gemini grabbed some clothes and a couple books, then followed Lori the heck out of there. "I don't know, but I'm gonna find out. The firemen will be able to figure out the cause of the fire." She said.

Lori swallowed. "This means we have to go to Metropolis. To my apartment." she felt her heart twist at the idea of seeing Louis with Clark.

Gemini gritted her teeth. That was the last thing she wanted. "Alright...but if Clark shows his face I can't promise I won't harm him." She said.

"I know but we don't really have anywhere else to go." Lori sighed and lead the way to her car.

Gemini followed, finding herself immensely glad that Lori had a car. Though Gotham and Metropolis were right next to each other, walking was still out of the question, and cabs weren't much better. Especially cabs in Gotham.

Lori drove them across the bridge into Metropolis. She weaved her way to her apartment which was in a large building a lot like the one that had just been set on fire. She grabbed the stuff and unlocked the door to get into the building heading to the elevator. It stopped in the middle and she headed down the hall to a door which she unlocked. "Welcome." she smiled pushing the door open.
