"Clint will eat anything. Literally." Callie grinned. "Challenge him to anything and he'll try it."

Valerie grinned.

"Oh that's a challenge I'll have to properly plan out," she said. "There's got to be a turducken-eating contest out there somewhere with his name on it."

Callie cackled. "Get Thor in on it too, if you can manage," she suggested. "Nat will definitely help with that one because that will be gold."

"Done, I will make this happen if I have to bribe Nat with a suit to do it," Valerie said, snickering. "Or I might bribe her with a bit of my Kingsman kit, I brought some spares with me."

Callie snickered. "See what you can tempt her with and let me know so I can send you more," she said with a grin. Because she was totally going to enable bribing Natasha and getting her shiny new weapons.

"Will do," Valerie said. She stretched and sighed. "Well, I'll let you go, I'm going to see about making your apartment into my apartment and getting settled in."

Callie snickered. "Have fun with that. Just don't touch my good vodka unless you plan on replacing it. You'll know it when you see it, the writing is all in Russian."

Valerie snickered.

"Alright," she said. "I'll make sure to leave it be."

"Good," Callie said with a grin. "Let me know if you have any problems or questions or anything. Oh, and if you come across my copy of the Barton Handbook, read it. I made notes beyond what the bloody handbook tells you."

"Everyone keeps telling me to do that," Valerie said. "I have read it, you know. The original, at least. You handed it to me before we switched places. Did you think I wouldn't at least skim it?"

"Oh I knew you'd do that, but if you come across my copy I have my handwritten notes in there, which is why I'm telling you," Callie pointed out. "And how would I know what Coulson is telling you to do?"

Valerie rolled her eyes a bit.

"Okay," she said. "I'll look for your copy." She paused for a moment. "I can't even say that the Round Table has an equivalent, none of ours are nearly as much trouble."

"I've heard some stories from you about some of them," Callie said with a grin. "But no, I don't think anyone is on the level of Clint."

Valerie snickered, and then stretched a bit.

"Well, I'm going to go and settle in and make some tea," she said. "You've probably been set up for some suit fittings, betting you'll find out about that in the morning."

"Wouldn't surprise me," Cassie agreed. "I'm pretty sure they'll kit me out here. I'm looking forward to that."

"Probably not a full field agent's kit," Valerie mused, "but pretty close." She grinned. "You'll appreciate it all, it's all very sleek and pretty and lethal."

"Oh I know. It'll be so much fun." Cassie sighed happily. "I'll let you know how it turns out. Let me know what Coulson tries to saddle you with."

"Oh you'll know," Valerie said, grinning. "I promise, you'll know." She fought back a yawn. "Anyways, I'm going to settle in. I'll call you again later, alright?"

"Sounds good. Good luck." Cassie grinned and disconnected the call, stretching briefly before going to settle in. She was really rather looking forward to her new assignment, now.

A few days later, Valerie found herself back in Coulson's office, waiting to be given her assignment.

Coulson indicated for her to take a seat with a slight smile. Oh, this he was going to enjoy.

"How much do you know about the Avengers, agent?"

Callie found herself in a very similar position, only she was in Arthur's office instead.

Valerie blinked and then raised an eyebrow.

"Enough to make any sane person a little wary, sir," she replied cautiously. She had a sneaking suspicion she knew exactly where this was headed.

"Ah, there you are, lass," Merlin said when she walked in. "Right on time, excellent."

Arthur's office was empty at the moment; Harry was out for a morning jog, which gave Merlin time to set Callie into her new position.

Coulson's little smile widened a bit. "Good," he agreed. "Starting today, you'll be assisting me with managing them." He handed over a flash drive. "The most important bits of information. Look them over today. Tomorrow I'll start introducing you."

"I do try not to be late," Callie said with a bit of a grin. She took a moment to look around before refocusing on Merlin. "Occasionally Clint makes it very hard. Fortunately for me, being on the other side of the pond stymies him somewhat."

Valerie blinked. And blinked again. Then she reached out to take the flash drive, tucking it into an inside pocket of her suit jacket.

"You think I'll be able to ride herd on your crazies?" she asked.

"Indeed it does," Merlin said, glancing down at his tablet. "Now then. I've reviewed your test results. I was pleasantly surprised, you tested well across the board, your training is rather impressive for someone not a field agent."

"I'm not expecting thing you to fully ride herd on them," Coulson pointed out. "You'll be assisting me. We'll see how it goes."

"Thank you, sir." Callie smiled at that, rather pleased. She worked hard, partially because she did have to keep up with Barton.
