Mavin saw Raven pull out the clothes.

“You’re amazing,” she said, reaching for them. She pulled them on quickly and set aside the blanket.

Raven smiled. "Better," she agreed. "Now upstairs to food."

Mavin nodded and finally ventured out of the infirmary. Thankfully, none of the students were around to bombard her with questions, and she was able to make her way to the kitchen to find something to eat.

Raven accompanied her, though she did hang back a bit once they got to the kitchen.

"Mavin." Lucy looked relieved, walking over to give her a quick hug.

“Lucy.” Mavin hugged her sister back tightly. “Are you alright? Is Connor alright?”

"Connor and I are fine," Lucy assured her. "Promise. I've been stress baking, but that's the worst of it between us."

“Good, good,” Mavin said. She paused, and then said hopefully, “pastries?”

"Lots and lots of cookies," Lucy promised. "I managed to make some danishes. I even saved some from the wolves."

“I’m so hungry,” Mavin said as she went rummaging for the baked goods. She gave a soft ‘aha’ as she found some. She grabbed a pastry and took a big bite out of it.

Lucy smiled a bit. "Eat that, I'll get you some real food too." She went to rummage in the fridge.

Mavin just mumbled something around the pastry, shoving the rest into her mouth like a starving chipmunk.

Lucy snorted at her and started working on real food, occasionally pushing bits over to Mavin so she didn't try to eat everything in the kitchen.

Mavin took the bits, though she wasn't as mindlessly ravenous anymore.

"Thanks," she said, getting up to sit on the counter while her sister cooked.

"No problem." Lucy shot her a little smile. "Feeling better now?"

"Much," Mavin said, nodding. She sighed. "I don't know how I got stuck, but I kind of hope Raven sticks around for a while so she can help if I get stuck again."

Lucy shrugged. "Hard to say, with her," she murmured. "Since she just kind of comes and goes as needed." She shrugged again. "We'll see, though, maybe she'll decide to stick around for a bit."

"Yeah, we'll see," Mavin agreed. She was quiet for a moment. "Are you sure you and Connor are alright? I know the two of you got hit with that gas that got me, too..."

"We're fine," Lucy assured her. "My mutation is still as stable as ever, and Connor isn't showing any signs of being affected. We've all been keeping a careful eye on him."

Mavin nodded reluctantly.

“Okay,” she said. “I still want to keep an eye on him, just to be safe. We don’t know if maybe it will hit late or something.” She gave her sister a small grin. “I know you can take care of yourself.”

Lucy chuckled at that. "That I can," she agreed. "The professor agrees with you, which is why we've all been keeping an eye on the kiddo." She smiled slyly suddenly. "You missed Steve taking a turn babysitting."

Mavin blinked at that.

"Really?" she said. "How did that one turn out?" She paused. "He didn't tell Connor who he really is, did he?"

"He did not, and it went surprisingly well. They drew and colored and watched cartoons. It was so cute I thought I'd get a cavity." Lucy grinned.

Mavin smiled.

"Good," she said. "I'm glad they had a good time."

"Oh yeah, Steve is a big hit with Connor now." Lucy smiled. "I've been keeping track."

Mavin grinned.

“Sounds like Connor has a new favorite,” she said. “Kurt will be crushed.”
