uhhhh.. i take it this is in those comic making computer programs that i can't get cause they're all MAC based? and... I . hate. MACS... *stabs the one she's currently using*

no seriously. i thought i wanted one. than i tried to take the required art course in college . and ALL THEY USED was MACs. the first project went okay. the second one started to get frustrating. and than when i LOST the third because the MAC is a confusing piece of crap that is far to sensitive and likes to do random things to your files.... i gave up on MACs. and i've only encountered irritation with these frustrating contraptions. *shakes computer*

OMG and the flipping zoom feature on the mice. You try to scroll and its like "DID YOU MEAN ZOOM IN AS FAR AS I CAN?"
NO.

grr furger burger piece of grumble wumbles!

I hate MAC and Apple with more passion than you do, Shadamimi. Everything I recommend are Microsoft based. The programs could function on Windows, more famous being Manga/Comic Studio and Adobe. Put computer aside, there are still a bunch of Japanese artist use the traditional screen tone paste on their handmade piece. Lovely. Really, you could just google image them to see what screen tones I am talking about. The traditional piece IS expensive, but there are cheaper ways to go by.

Lol. I never even attempt a MAC. I hate it because of it 'exclusive'ness and being expensive and somehow not compatible with many programs. I like flexibility. :) But then, there are MAC users here who would vouch for it. I am sure MAC has something good that I am unable to catch. I like their 'case' design though, very sleek and simple and minimalist and sophisticated.

Talking about programs, there are free open source Adobe-like softwares, GIMP being the most popular for photo editing. I have even compile a list of open source programs to replace Microsoft office.

i love flexibility. probably why i hate Mac's thanks for pointing that out. hadn't thought about that one.

(i hate gimp) I do the free programs that i can get ahold of, cause that's all i can afford right now. there was some manga programs for MAC only that I wanted. but i'm never going to buy. probably ever. they looked great and easy to use though. I use fire alpaca. its simple, and suits my style.

Don't worry for your MacBOok's safety... I assure you it will look the same at the end of the day.
Just won't guarantee the 'inside' is the same. lol.
*devil*

I haven't tried Fire Alpaca... because of the name. lol.
Does it come with Filters?

Besides, what kind of art program is MAC only? That is strange, if you remember the name I would LOVE to know.

lol. There are also open source free art programs available for MAC too...
but I am always under impression that MAC owners don't 'need' free programs. They just pay for the Adobe, for example.

Nah, I paid for clip studio (manga studio) instead. I'm not tech savvy enough for photoshop. (Hence the mac, I find it very intuitive to use)

No I'm just too bad at computers to do things illegitimately. Coding posts on menewsha is as good as it gets and it's taken me six years to work out how to do a hidetitle.

What programm Dakukuu uses again? Fire Alpaca? GIMP? Krita?

I think you all may have mentioned before, but do forgive my forgetfulness... if you are doing digital typing for the coming NaNo, what program you are using?

Is it a better place, Shadamimi?
I still vaguely remember you moved like... few months ago? Last year?
Was it you?

I think I would be joining July NaNo after all. Maybe just for the first week. I am targeting 25k for 9 days. Which is pretty low expectation. 4 weekends + 5 weekdays, since I am taking the whole week off work.

Whilst researching on castle rooms just now, I came stumbled upon this particular website. O__O
CreativCastle
It would be such an experience to be able to NaNoWriMo in a castle! O__O

I haven't moved yet no. we were suppossed to and than the house fell through. And its better because i'll finally be living with my husband again. Though its just a small apartment. and we have to figure out something for bath time since its a shower only. xD
