wouldn't it be nice if they understood human talk?

---------- Post added 02-16-2018 at 03:52 PM ----------

so we could ask them to go back outside and they would listen :D

I don't like spiders but do understand they're essential for our survival. But i still kill everyone i see in the house or on me.

I apologize to a spider and explain that inside the house is MY domain, right before I smash it with some tissue.
If they are outside or on a porch, I leave then alone...for outside is THEIR domain.

The proper course of action is to take a tissue and very, very carefully… burn the house down.

I have used a lighter to burn a spider on the ceiling...all it does is make said spider drop...possibly right on you! ...better off to leave spider alone!

You'd fall off the ceiling too if someone burned your but with a lighter

One time when I was little, I had a tick on me and my dad took a match and burned the tick while it was on me! D:
I was so scared, I thought he was trying to burn me!

That's supposed to be the way you get a tick to back out of your skin...or so my mom told me years ago.
You were supposed to light the match then blow it out and place the hot ember of the match on the tick's butt.
I can see how being burned by a hot match could be traumatizing!

Now that I think about it, that's probably what he did...
I just don't remember it that well. I just remember seeing the hot match and freaking out and my dad telling me to stay still.

I live in a super forest-y area before they started building more houses, and I used to play in the woods with my friends a lot, so I mean, it wasn't surprising that I got a tick on me.

I grew up in Oregon and walked through a forest bewteen my mom's house and my grandma's house nearly every day...
I moved to Colorado and have done a fair amount ot hiking, camping and playing in the forest with no protection from ticks...
I still have never seen a tick in real life.
I'm guessing that some folks are just tastier to ticks than others...and I am lucky to not be appealing!

That man is mine idol.

Ava, that is a commonly known way to remove a tick. Burn the demon off of thy body! And pray thou dost not get burned by the person completing that task for thee.

Yeah, it worked, salvete.
I never had another tick problem... And the tick didn't give me any diseases which I am definitely grateful for,
I've heard way too many horror stories of children getting Lyme's disease from ticks!

Antifreeze worketh as well? Doth it do any harm to the skin? Should it be washed off immediately?
