Blabbering is how we make the gold! We try to not be boring when we talk.

Right now we are watching UFC200, kind of boring truth be told. Was hoping there would be people here to help keep me entertained. Menewsha seems rather quiet on this Saturday night.

Ah, walls of text happen from time to time. They take some getting used to but on Menewsha they can be pretty common.

Oh hey... next page again... doh... I keep not noticing that.

Since goldies are earned per character here on Menewsha, it is in people's best interest to use proper grammar and spelling so that they maximize the amount of goldies they earn, you see. And especially because this is double goldies earning weekend, people might feel even more inclined to write out larger blocks of text in order to earn more goldies.

Well, someone got butthurt. Not my fault, it's my hangout, and I thought that people were here to talk to me, but I guess I was wrong.

And I know you get more for gold for posting more characters... Also, my pronouns are in my SIG; you just misgendered me, and I feel offended, when the pronouns are right THERE.

As far as oldest go. I Have no clue how old people are here, but some seem to lack in the matter of intelligence, so I would have to say that the average age is thirteen of fourthteen.

Yes, a small rant, but, hey, look, I am making gold.

Rin - Some people base the gender off the avi. It's not intended to offend anyone
Additionally, some people have signatures disabled to help reduce lag from all the signature images.

As for the average age, I'd say 20-30 is the average age. I've watched quite a few users grow up here.

No, Diana, I've never heard of it.

Well, Poet, that is a very stupid assumption, especially since my pronouns are RIGHT THERE.
Then they can ask, and not just assume - but I guess cis people would NEVER understand.

20-30? Really? Well, then I guess their mental age is those of children.

I am sorry RinLin. I did not notice your pronouns in your signature before (I don't always read signatures), but I have gone back and corrected my post where I used the wrong pronoun. EDIT: I also use f.lux so I actually can't read yellow text on my computer screen at night. This is what I see:

SPOILERX

So that might have been why I did not notice that. My intention is not to justify because I do believe people's pronouns should be respected *nods* but I hope you understand that misuse of pronouns was not at all intentional.

I think I should mention also that some people have signatures turned off (there is an option in settings somewhere), so it is also possible that others will make the same mistake because they cannot see your signature in the first place. Just giving you that heads up just in case before any future misunderstandings happen

---------- Post added 07-11-2016 at 04:42 AM ----------

Ah, I just saw that The Wandering Poet already mentioned that some people have signatures turned off.

Well Rin, you have to keep in mind that because of the increase in age, many of us are not as used to the idea as someone who grew up in the current generation. I hadn't even heard of the term "cis-gendered" until maybe a year or two ago, and already being pretty old myself, it takes a lot longer for me to adapt to it than a child. I've only met I believe 2 people so far that prefer "they/them" in my life.

Plus with how I am personally, I find gender itself hard to grasp because I never really cared to begin with. I simply let people decide what "pronouns" they want to use on me as per whatever fits their preference.

Thanks, Symphony.

I am of the older generation, trust me. I was born in the 80's, yet I have had no problem to adapt or accept. You'd think that the younger generations (late 90's and 00's) would be more understandable, but I guess it all boils down to intelligence and upbringing.

Actually I was born in the 80s as well and don't have very many issues accepting and adapting to people's request and their preferences for how they would like to be referred to gender wise.

My exception came from being referred to as blabbering in my post. Granted the color could have better, I was replying to things that had been said in other posts throughout the thread up to that point and I have been known to type out a fair amount.

My further "butthurt" if you will, came from your surprising attack on how unfeeling people are because they didn't know YOU to the "T" on how you'd like your gender referred to. It was rather over the top angry and most Menewshans are pretty sweet, caring individuals. Spend a little time with us and you'll find that most people will give till it hurts and then give some more.

Please note that Menewsha is a site where gold is almost exclusively gained by posting. We are required to talk, chat, converse and otherwise string letters together into words, sentences and paragraphs. Hence large posts at times.

Please take this as my apology for wandering into your thread, hoping to make a new friend and find a new place to post and chat. I shall endeavor to avoid further annoying you.

You seem quite eager to attack the intelligence of people unable to adapt. That makes me sad. It is not exclusively intelligence that does that, as every human being on the planet is different, leading to the varied ways they struggle to adapt.
Being adaptive by nature is not a common trait. It's why jobs and such desire that trait so much.

Also... as someone your age... I'm not sure if we qualify for the "born in the 80s" category by much. We were technically 90s kids.

Adais: Oh, dear, you're one of those? The goody two shoes who tries to victimize yourself. Kay. Just keep at it, then. I do not care. And I already know all the things you wrote, there is no need for you to treat me like I am some sort of moron, really.

Poet: I have had my fair share of shitty people and actions, so yes, I have my spikes out.
Uh, what? I was born in the 80's what are you even talking about? I never said I grew up in the 80's, I grew up in the early 90's.

All: I am not attacking everyone, that is just in your heads.

Just what I've been told, that "89 doesn't count" and stuff. I dunno.

I've had my fair share of bad people in my life as well, but in a sense you have attacked them. You've essentially called everyone here unintelligent children, which is not a very polite thing to say. I don't like having my community and home being generalized like that.

I usually avoid internet drama at all cost,

But I just can't sit back and let my friends be called unintelligent and whatnot.

I get that you are offended you've been misgendered. I get that, but no one is doing it out of malice, so I don't understand why you are responding with malice. I also don't understand why you claim everyone here is immature, yet, you call them names simply because they disagree with you. Is that not, in and of itself, childish?

This community is really nice, but only if you are nice in return. We are closely knit and when people threaten the safety and kindness bubble it can get really ugly, really fast.

So check your ego at the door. Thanks.

The least you could do would be to apologize to those that you've been rude to.

Or, just let the thread die. But then, you'd still have that reputation for being a rude, aggressive newbie that attacks other people for reasons almost unknown.

But, whatever, you don't have to listen to me. But it would be nice if you had the decency to at least acknowledge that what you have been doing to people in this thread is rude.
