Cosmic, that's how it always works out. The one message with the least amount of information is the one that gets through. My favorite is when I select an entire text and then click the wrong button...POOF! No more text and then I have to retype it out, trying desperately to remember what was typed out before.

That is infuriating and happens to me a lot. *Sigh*
My husband went into the hospital yesterday.
I've been with him the whole time and it's so exhausting.
They won't let you watch videos or Netflix on the wifi.
So we've both been bored out of our minds....
Did I mention when im asleep or not in the room he refuses medication.

It's ok. I just try to let people know because my mom always told me how important it is to tell others their positives

Cosmic, sorry to hear about your husband. Why does he refuse the medication? Is he like my husband and doesn't want to take it? (After eight years in the military, the countless shots and medications they force on the personnel I understand why he doesn't take anything.)

Finding the positive is always the best way, exactly how my momma raised me and my sisters. Pretty sure if and when Death comes courting me, my first sentence might go something like, "What a lovely shade of pale you are!"

He hates needles and they keep pumping insulin in him.... His sugars are to rocky and high blood pressure.... They want to put him on an insulin pump but that seems drastic for someone who just found out they have diabetes and from what I hear and see it's not that bad either.... He could at least try diet, exercise, and a pill.... But they don't even want to try which is stressing him and its just a mess and I want to cry.

Cosmic, I know there are two types of Diabetes, is it the one where his pancreas is not producing insulin correctly (I think that is the first one, the body has issues metabolizing the insulin or using it, something like that) or is type two where diet and exercise can manage it? Because one does have to have the pump and the other doesn't. That could be why they aren't offering a choice.

One of the people that was a regular here on Menewsha was just released from the hospital for a diabetic episode that landed her damn near in a coma. If the doctors are worried it might be a sign that although his numbers aren't in the dangerous realm yet that could change he could face drastic health risks because of it. Ivvy is only just now getting her eye sight back on track due to the diabetic issues. Some sort of fanning in the capillaries of her eyes, scary stuff.

Hope he is doing better now. Is he out of the hospital yet? Or are they still trying to get things under control?

We're out of the hospital now and they are giving him "over the counter insulin" which honestly shocked me because that sounds extremely dangerous to be giving like that... But I'm not a doctor. We're trying to get to a doctor to see which type he really is and etc but that requires jobs which we are trying to do.

I hate when body parts fall asleep.... I learned your elbow can too, and its more painful than tingly.

I know, right? I think that all the time lately. "What was the evolutionary purpose of that?"

I am sure that there are reasonable explanations for why things happen...perhaps the extremities "falling asleep" is a way for the body to conserve energy...?

I have no clue honestly. Like I'm slightly lactose intolerant. Like why body? I just want ice cream and chocolate milk but I can't have either out in public for fear that it will hit me back xD but like also I don't understand why a lot of things the body does.... Like why does your mouth water when you smell something yummy.... Or in my case, pickles. If I smell pickles at all it just like pours drool and its done it since i was a kid.

@Andais: I read a little something about appendages falling asleep recently, but it didn't quite explain why it happens. I think it's a vulnerability of the body rather than an adaptation, though.

@CFK: I'm lactose intolerant off and on. I know that feel. It's a genetic disorder, not an evolutionary adaptation… as far as I know.
You like pickles that much? I don't know how you do it. I find even thinking about the smell of pickles literally sickening. x_x

It's not even that I like pickles that much. That's what I don't get. Like I like only dill pickles, but all pickles make my mouth water. It's so strange.
