Todd recoiled, rubbing his arm where it had been punched. "Ow! Okay...thank you." He said. "To answer your question, I don't know who it was I was supposed to marry. I didn't stick around long enough to find out, but it could only have been a daughter of one of the families who cared for me. That would have been like marrying my own sister, no matter who it was...and I didn't like anyone there, let alone love them." He sighed again. "I know now that the FRU isn't all bad. Running away wasn't as easy as you'd think. Those people were fanatics- no one comes in, no one leaves. Especially after not one but two other chameleon teens had managed to run away. My chance came when they announced that a group of teens would be sent to Shadow Falls as a way to test the waters. There was another boy who was supposed to go, but didn't want to. I switched with him the day of our departure, so by the time they realized I was gone I was already here and settled in, and they couldn't make a fuss to get me back. The other chameleon teens don't know that I wasn't slated to come here, and they kind of looked to me as a leader when we got here. I...I'm thinking about talking to Holiday about this...maybe with Burnett in the room. I feel like I can trust them. But I don't want anyone else telling them! It has to be me, or else I'll look suspicious." He finished, paused, then hugged Belle quickly before pulling away. "Did you mean that, what you said...about you guys being...my family now?"

Alex shrugged and pulled his shirt off. "Suit yourself." he grinned at her before diving in glad he had put on shorts. "Its nice." he splashed her playfully.

Belle blinked at the hug blushing a little. "Yes I meant it but don't act so happy family can be terrible." she smirked a little. "I'm glad you decided to run away and you should talk to Holiday I hear she's good at this stuff."

Rosemary blushed brightly as she watched his shirtless form dive into the water. Doing the math in her head, she realized she didn't have time to rush back to her cabin and back. Biting her lip, she made a snap decision, pulling off her shirt and jeans so she was in just her bra and underwear- both of which were a bright teal. She ran forward and jumped into the water, making a huge splash.

Todd rubbed the back of his head, smiling. "I'm glad I ran away, too. If I hadn't, I wouldn't have been able to meet you." He blushed. "Yeah, I'll talk to Holiday. Maybe during the weekend, that way classes won't be in the way and all that."

Ed blinked then wolf whistled. "How daring of you?" he teased keeping his distance.

Belle nodded and then frowned "I guess we should head back." she sighed.

Rosemary blushed. "We only have about twenty minutes left, and...I figured...if you don't take chances, you'll never know what might have been, and you'll regret it." She explained.

Todd looked up at the sky and nodded. "Yeah, I guess so." He stood up, offering his hand to help her up as well. "Thank you for talking to me. You went through a lot of trouble for it and I...appreciate it."

"Well it was more thanks to Rose. If she hadn't given her blood it would have been a lot harder." Belle smirked. "I would have had to kidnap you."

"This is true but as someone with siblings you have to be careful that they don't try to copy you." Ed shook his head. "Its nice not having to worry about them."

Todd laughed. "I don't think I would have minded that too much." He said.

Rosemary nodded. "I know. It's the same for the new pups in the pack. Luckily for me, they're taught from the beginning that I'm no good."

Belle snorted. "I'll keep that in mind if there's a next time." she smirked and eyed him. "I'm not sure I'm stronger then you though."she reached out and lifted him up. "Your light enough though." she placed him back down.

"Of course your good." Alex frowned at her. "I don't get other supernaturals. What is so wrong with being a half breed? If one of my cousins where half I would still love them."

Todd laughed. "Hey come on, don't lift me like that. You'll make me feel less masculine." He was obviously joking. "You're probably stronger than me, unless I happen to be vampire." He added. "And even if you weren't stronger, I wouldn't struggle."

Rosemary tried to shrug as if it were no big deal, but it didn't quite work. "My mom's side doesn't care nearly as much. It's just the pack that's stuck in medieval times and ranks everyone based on purity." She said. "I just happened to get the transforming gene, so I have to be part of the pack. If I didn't transform on the full moon, it never would have mattered."

Belle shook her head. "I doesn't count if you don't struggle." She made it sound like she kidnapped people often.

"Why do you have to be?" Alex asked curious.

Todd raised an eyebrow. "I'm not going to ask how you know that." He said. "But fine, if that's the case, maybe I'll struggle a little."

Rosemary huffed. "It's a law set forth by the Were council. "Any transformed Were found not to be part of a pack shall be treated as rogue, and handled accordingly."It's stupid, but I guess I understand...it's hard to trust a lone wolf, especially if you're part pack animal yourself. And...it doesn't help that my father is the Alpha male of his pack."

Belle nodded then frowned. "I wonder how the others would react if I just kidnapped you." she smirked a little.

"Can't he do something to make them treat you better?" Ed scowled already disliking the guy.

Rosemary snorted. "Why would he? I'm only half Were. He was so thrilled the first time I transformed, but...transforming was all I did. I didn't get the speed, strength or enhanced senses. My pattern reads as Fae, even in my transformed state. On full moons he has a Faery wolf running around, talking to her prey instead of hunting it. I'm nothing but a disappointment to him, even more so because I do transform. The elders call me unnatural, an abomination. I think he agrees."

Todd shrugged. "They'd probably either think you snapped, or assume something kinky was going on." He said with a wink and a chuckle.

Belle turned pink and punched him forgetting in her embarrassment to check her strength.

"That son of a sea cucumber." Alex was red with fury. "How dare he treat you that way!?"

Todd, not prepared for the punch, went flying into a thorn bush on the side of the path. "Ow..."

Rosemary shook her head. "Please, don't make a big deal out of it. This is just the way things are. IT's easier to accept it and move on." In that moment, she looked utterly defeated.

"Well I'm not going to accept it." Alex scowled. "I'll love you more then a while pack." he promised.

Belle gasped. " oh my gosh are you OK?" she hurried over.

Rosemary blushed, looking like she was about to cry. Before another word could be spoken, she was hugging him. "Thank you. No one besides my mother has ever...thank you so much."

Todd slowly climbed to his feet. "I'm fine. I'll be okay. I might need to see the nurse, though...I've got thorns in uncomfortable places." He was bleeding in several places, but not very much.

Alex shrugged. "It's not that big a deal." he mumbled hugging her back.

Belle's eyes flashed red for a second. "Sorry." she grimaced. "Want me to walk you to the nurse?"

"It is to me." Rosemary said. After taking a moment to collect herself, she pulled away slightly, sniffling. "We should start heading back."

Todd didn't miss the look, however. "Belle, how long has it been since you drank?" He asked. He wanted to stay with her, but not if his presence was torturing her.

Belle shook her head. ''I'm fine I just had something this morning."

Ed nodded and got out gathering his cloths waiting till he dried off to put it back on.

Todd frowned. "Alright...you can come with me if you want. But Belle, if you need anything...well, I'm already bleeding. Might as well not let it go to waste."

Rosemary did the same, keeping herself covered until she could get her clothed back on.

Belle took a breath in surprise. "I've...never had anyone offer to let me..." she walked away and dragged him along.

Alex grinned "did you enjoy your rebel moment?" he winked at her.

Todd shrugged. "I see no reason not to. I like you, you know? And I don't like to see you suffering."

Rosemary blushed, smiling. "Yes. Don't expect it to happen too often, though." She said.

Belle remained silent and dropped him off at the nurse who patched him up.

Alex smirked. "Oh we'll see about that."

Todd came out of the nurse's office covered in bandages and looking irritated. Deciding he'd had enough for the day, he headed back towards his cabin instead of going to class.

Rosemary giggled. "Wow, you're a bad influence! I had no idea." She said.
