Menewsha, I ask for your help! While my life is busy these days, I still want to experience something that would help brighten my days:

I'm looking for daily, relaxing and fun apps or websites that offer a free or cheap way to learn something new everyday.

From learning new languages to keeping your brain in shape, which apps would you suggest for me to try in my quest for bite-sized knowledge? Any review of why you would suggest this or that app would be even more appreciated than just a link.

Thanks in advance!

That's an interesting topic. Brain games would be a fun way to relax and play games but still challenge yourself! I don't know any games myself - I'll have to see who else replies!

I thought so too! Hopefully we'll both have some good answers in the next few days.

Duolingo seems to be the popular one for learning a language. Plenty of options in it, too.

I like Duolingo for language. I feel a bit silly trying to say the words, though, because I have a remarkably lazy accent in any language.

Perhaps you should cater your stumbleupon to your interests? I find I can bump into some interesting sites I'd have never visited otherwise. Lately I've been reading essays on Star Wars--with particular note on the political systems. Kind of interesting stuff.
