"Same can be said about a lot of things," the Doctor replied. "Now!" He turned and began to twist knobs and throw switches on one of the sides of the control column. "Come on, you two, hang on tight and picture Radiant Garden in your heads!"

Rose promptly grabbed onto something steady, because she'd learned that when the Doctor said to hold on, you held on tight. She thought hard about Radiant Garden, glancing over at Summer with a big grin. Oh yes, she was enjoying this too much.

Summer grinned back. Oh this was definitely an adventure.

The Tardis shuddered, and then lurched to one side with the wheezing groan it was known for.

Rose hung on tight until the Tardis stopped moving, still grinning like a loon. Oh yes, that was fun.

"Now to see if that worked or not," she muttered, heading over to the door.

"If it didn't, there are plenty of reflective surfaces in here," Summer said as she stood up. She brushed herself off a bit. "I'm sure we can get back that way."

"True," Rose conceded. "Good point." She opened the door and poked her head out, taking a look around. She grinned. "We're here!" She stepped outside, still grinning.

Summer followed Rose, grinning.

"It's nice to be back on solid dry land," she said. "Tropical paradise is nice, but I like being back here."

"I know exactly how you feel," Rose agreed with a grin. "Hopefully the next world will have plenty more shiny, reflective surfaces."

"Here's hoping," Summer said, nodding. "We should go check in with Kairi and Namine, let them know how things went."

"Yeah." Rose did poke her head back into the Tardis, though. "You coming, Doctor? Since you're here, you might as well take a look around."

"Ah, not this time, I'm afraid," the Doctor said. "Other worlds to go explore, you understand."

Rose shrugged but nodded. "Alright," she agreed. "We'll see you again sometime, I hope."

"Oh I'm sure we will," the Doctor said, nodding. He grinned. "Till next time, then."

"See you later." Rose grinned and left the Tardis, shutting the door gently. Still grinning, she went back to Summer.

"So, onwards, then?"

"Sounds good to me," Summer said, nodding. She grinned. "How much you want to bet they thought it would take us a while?"

"Oh I bet we're back a lot sooner than they expected," Rose agreed with a grin. "It'll be fun to see their faces."

"Once we check in, I'm going to go home real quick and get real clothes," Summer said, stretching a bit. "Real clothes sound good."

"Real clothes do sound good," Rose agreed. "And maybe a shower, because my hair is going to be full of salt when it finally dries."

"A shower sounds amazing," Summer said, nodding. "I'm going to need to deep-condition my hair so much..."

"No kidding." Rose stretched a bit as they walked back. "But it was so worth it."

"It totally was," Summer agreed, grinning. "Though the grandma-manta-spirit kind of threw me."

"Right?" Rose shook her head. "I wonder if we're going to come across that more often."

"No idea," Summer said. She picked up the pace just a little. "Come on, let's check in and then I really want that shower."

Rose snickered but kept up easily enough.

Namine blinked when the door opened and looked up. "You're back already?" She asked, surprised.

"Yeah, I'm thinking we got a bit lucky," Summer said. She grinned. "But, still had a blast. Fought a giant shadow crab, got sucked down a whirlpool, there was this guy who could shapeshift, and a manta-ghost that turned out to be someone's grandmother. Good times."

Kairi blinked.

"Wow," she said. "That's... a lot. And not what I expected."
