“Like I want to know what it would be like to be with him,” Summer said quietly. “I got to know him and bit and I want to get to know him more.”

Rose blinked. "Well, shit," she muttered. "That's kind of not good, Summer. We're leaving soon."

“I know,” Summer said, wringing her hands. “I just— he’s got this sense of humor, and he’s so nice, and he can throw a motorcycle into the air. I can’t help it.”

Rose sighed, because she couldn't even debate any of those things. "Well, we can come visit. I mean, it's not like they can come with us."

That made Summer stop.

“Can’t they, though?” she wondered. “I haven’t heard a rule that says they can’t.”

Rose paused at that. "I... Have no idea," she said slowly. "I'm honestly not sure."

“We were never told not to,” Summer said, grinning. “In absence of orders to the contrary...”

Rose sighed. "Just ask gently," she said.

"Ask what?" Steve asked from right behind Rose. She jumped and squeaked.

Summer jumped and squeaked as well.

“Steve,” she said, “how much of that did you hear?”

"I do try not to listen to conversations that don't involve me," Steve said, in lieu of an actual answer. "So, what are you going to ask me?"

Summer wasn't able to help turning a bit pink.

"Um, well," she said. "I... was kind of wondering..." She glanced at Rose, and then back at Steve. "Do you want to come with us when we leave?"

Steve blinked, and then smiled. Well, that made his job much easier.

"Yes," he said. "I'd like that. I think Buck would too."

Summer beamed.

"Great," she said. "The plan is go to back to Radiant Garden."

"As if I know where that is," Steve teased with a little grin.

Rose rolled her eyes and very nearly threw up her hands at the two of them flirting again, and stepped away so they could flirt in peace. She did take a quick glance around for Bucky, though.

Bucky was just coming back upstairs, his rifle neatly packed away in its case and the case slung over his metal shoulder.

"Hey," he said when he saw her.

"Hey." Rose eyed him. "You look like you're ready to go already." Which was a touch suspicious, since Summer had just asked Steve not that long ago.

Bucky shrugged a bit.

"Steve was making doe-eyes at Summer, and said he was going to ask if we could tag along when you two leave. Figured I'd pack up my rifle, in case he got a yes." He glanced at her. "Did he get a yes?"

"He didn't ask," Rose told him dryly. "Summer asked him first." She huffed a bit. "Looks like you two are coming with us for a while."

Bucky raised an eyebrow.

"Do you not want us to?" he asked, curious.

"I'm absolutely okay with you coming with us," Rose told him honestly. "But those two and their flirting is so sickeningly cute." She grinned a bit. "Gonna drive me nuts, probably."

“No kidding,” Bucky agreed. “But it’s the first time I’ve seen Steve sweet on a dame in a long time.”

Rose smiled at that. "Well, maybe we'll see if they need a bit of a nudge," she suggested. "If they don't do anything on their own."

Bucky snorted.

"A nudge," he repeated. "More like a shove. Stevie's never been good with the dames."

"We can arrange that too," Rose agreed. "I'm good at shoving, just ask Summer."

Bucky grinned.

"Well then we should get a good show," he said. He tilted his head a bit. "We gonna go?"
